  • This is the study about the New Formation Developement, the Changeable Table Design with Units that made of Wasted Wood to use restricted material rationally and to improve the space efficiency in the Table Design. We made some changeable table design with units that made of laminated wood wasted. And we found out the following formative characteristic and physical merits through this study. First, the space efficiency can be improve technically through the unit combination and organic transfomation of the specific form and a new method by laminated wood make the personal originality and the structral stability be built up. Second, there are some merits, moveable convenience and variable layout by the combination or transformation or personal fondness so that economical efficiency and variable of design can be improved. Third, we can remove original faults inside wood like a knot or not-uniform of wood organ when we laminate wood so that we use proper units that have original beauty of wood and can represent mild mood of furniture wholly. Fourth, much more strengthen tensile strength by the reciprocal action among the units that be made of laminated wood reduces wood's metamorphosis like bending or twisting so that the uniformity of wood can be gain and furniture's metamorphosis can be reduced. According to changes of nature environment, the difficulty of supply and demand for wood may be happen. According to changes of life style these days, supply and demand for environment friendly material, processing technique and developement of design to improve the efficiency of using space must be very important factor in morden furniture design. So we propose changeable furniture design by using new environment friendly meterial and processing method from this study.

  • Insufficient requirement management accounts for 54% ofunsuccessful software development projects and 22% of insufficient requirement management comes from requirement change management. Hence, requirement management activities are important to reduce failure rates and a tracing method is suggested as the major factor in requirements change management. A traceability table is easy to use because of its legibility accurate tracing. However, traceability tables of existing studies have failed to concretely suggest method of change management and effect of traceability. Also, studies of methods to estimate change impact is complex. Hence, this study suggests how to use a traceability table to manage changes in requirements. Together, in comparison to existing studies, this study suggests easier methods to estimate change rate and change impact. Also Fifteen projects were sampled to test the hypothesis that traceability table influences the success of projects and that it decreases the failure rate that comes from the insufficient requirements management.

  • The purpose of this study is to construct interregional input-output table for multi-regions using non-survey methods. Despite of wide use of interregional input-output table, there have been continuing debates with respect to it's accuracy mostly when it is constructed by non-survey method. The best ideal one is to construct through real survey, while we must pay much time and cost. With regard to this concern, Hulu and Hewings developed a step by step method for the estimation of interregional input coefficients for the Indonesian economy which might be a challenge for the limitation of location quotient method, for which Round pointed out earlier. A five regions interregional input-output table for Korea is developed in this study by expanding Location Quotient method. Some development was made, however, according to the degree of collection of data and the assumption in treating the interregional flows. Finally, a comparison was made for the accuracy of input coefficients between the real surveyed and derived ones.

  • To research the dynamic response of the high-rise structure under the rocking ground motion, which we believed that the effect cannot be ignored, especially accompanied by vertical ground motion. Theoretical analysis and shaking table seismic simulation tests were used to study the response of a high-rise structure to excitation of a H-V-R ground motion that included horizontal, vertical, and rocking components. The use of a wavelet analysis filtering technique to extract the rocking component from data for the primary horizontal component in the first part, based on the principle of horizontal pendulum seismogram and the use of a wavelet analysis filtering technique. The dynamic equation of motion for a high-rise structure under H-V-R ground motion was developed in the second part, with extra P-△ effect due to ground rocking displacement was included in the external load excitation terms of the equation of motion, and the influence of the vertical component on the high-rise structure P-△ effect was also included. Shaking table tests were performed for H-V-R ground motion using a scale model of a high-rise TV tower structure in the third part, while the results of the shaking table tests and theoretical calculation were compared in the last part, and the following conclusions were made. The results of the shaking table test were consistent with the theoretical calculation results, which verified the accuracy of the theoretical analysis. The rocking component of ground motion significantly increased the displacement of the structure and caused an asymmetric displacement of the structure. Thus, the seismic design of an engineering structure should consider the additional P-△ effect due to the rocking component. Moreover, introducing the vertical component caused the geometric stiffness of the structure to change with time, and the influence of the rocking component on the structure was amplified due to this effect.

  • Due to the bandwidth and storage limitations, medical images are needed to be compressed before transmission and storage. DICOM (Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine) specification, which is the medical images standard, provides a mechanism for supporting the use of JPEG still image compression standard. In this paper, we explain a method for compressing medical images by JPEG standard and propose two methods for JPEG compression. First, because medical images differ from natural images in optical feature, we propose a method to design adaptively the quantization table using spectrum analysis. Second, because medical images have higher pixel depth than natural images do, we propose a method to design Huffman table which considers the probability distribution feature of symbols. Therefore, we propose methods to design a quantization table and Huffman table suitable for medical images. Simulation results show the improved performance compared to the quantization table and the adjusted Huffman table of JPEG standard. Proposed methods which are satisfied JPEG Standard, can be applied to PACS (Picture Archiving and Communications System).

  • In this paper, the research is carried out about a couch, a horse foot chair, a horse foot table, and a multi-leg table among the furniture of Koguryeo. The couch had been widely used from the Chinese Han Dynasty, and the couch of the Koguryeo was influenced by that of Han. The couch of Koguryeo was a piece of furniture which was used not only for sitting purposes but also for symbolizing status ranking. The horse foot chair is a chair whose leg is finished with a horse foot shape, and is a relic which shows an aspect of the art exchange between the East and the West, appearing in Egypt and Mesopotamia, having influence on chairs of Greece and Rome, and being introduced into Koguryeo and Japan by way of the countries bordering on Western China and China. The horse foot chair was used by the royalty, the aristocracy and the priesthood, and use of the chair at that time reflects the effect of Buddhist culture. The horse foot table is a piece of furniture whose leg is finished with a horse foot shape as in the horse foot chair, and there are many instances that it is used together with the horse foot chair. The multi-leg table is configured to have a square plate, plural legs and footstool, and is used by the upper classes, being also influenced by China. In this paper, the study about the furniture of Koguryeo, which has not been closely considered up to now, is performed, and is important as a study about origin of Korean furniture. In the future, the research about succession of the furniture of Koguryo to that of Koryeo period should be carried out, and much more research material be investigated.

  • Objectives : Acupoints education is important in that it can determine the clinical competency of Korean Medicine Doctors (KMDs). Accordingly, we aimed to develop a practical simulator for acupoints education, acupoints training, acupoints practice, and acupoints evaluation. Methods : Korean Medicine (KM) SMART Table can be divided into hardware, server and components, and is organically linked. We develop KM SMART Table that combines the hardware of a human-sized table with a UHD display capable of multi-touch in two cases and software that can teach acupoints. We make Augmented Reality (AR) contents linked with KM SMART Table contents and develop applications that can use contents using mobile devices. By developing an AR image tracking module to react with KM SMART Table, it enables acupoint learning according to the mobile device platform and human anatomy. Results : The current system is a prototype where some 3D technology has been implemented, but the AR function will be produced later. New learning using 3D and AR will be required during acupoints education and acupoints practice. It will be used a lot in OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination) practices for strengthening the competency of KMDs, and it will be of great help not only in KM education as a unique simulator of KM, but also in the practice of acupuncture and chuna for musculoskeletal diseases. Conclusions : The KM SMART Table is a technology that combines 3D and AR to learn acupoints, and to conduct acupoints OSCE practice, and we suggest that it can be usefully used for educational evaluation.

  • For compensating the error motion of hydrostatic tables, we have introduced a way that the clearance of table is controlled corresponding to the amount of eror with the actively controlled variable capillary, named as ACC. In previous paper, through the basic test, it was confirmed that by the use of ACC, the error motion within 2.7$\mu$ m of a hydrostatic table could be compensated with the resolution of 27nm, 1/100 contollable range, and with the frequency bandwidth of 5.5Hz, structurally. In this paper, we performed practical compensation of the linear and angular motion error of hydrostatic table using ACC. For improving the compensated motion accuracy, iterative control method is put into the control system. The experimental results show that by the simultaneous compensation of error, the linear and angular motion error are improved upto 0.25$\mu$ m and 0.4arcsec, which are about 1/10 and 1/3 of the non-compensated motion errors respectively.

  • The exports of plywood are increasing annually and it has ranked first in the world market because of the high quality product and manufactured using mordern techniques. However, it is known that the exports of the other wood products, except plywood, is inactive because of their low quality. Accordingly, to increase the exports of various wood products investigations were carried out on kiln drying techniques to improve the quality of the wood. Wet wood should be kiln dried before use to prevent various drying defects such as distortion, shrinkage etc., which would develop after processing,:and also wet wood is not suitable for cutting, gluing and finishing. Therefore, the kiln drying properties of lumber from such species as oak, ramin and meranti which are used in large quantity for manufacturing exporting wood products have been studied. The results of the research are summarized as follows. (1) The end checks and the time for drying from initial moisture content of about 40 percent to 5 percent moisture content in ovendry were investigated as follows: (2) The kiln dried results, for 30mm stock, which are presented by using kiln schedule table 3 are as follows: (3) The kiln schedules for ramin, meranti and oak are given respectively as follows: Ramin kiln schedule: Table 17 and Table 18. Meranti schedule : Table 12. Oak schedule : Table 15.

  • Small-scale models have been frequently used for seismic performance tests because of limited testing facilities and economic reasons. However, there are not also enough studies on similitude law for analogizing prototype structures accurately with small-scale models, although conventional similitude law based on geometry similitude is not well consistent in their inelastic seismic behaviors. When fabricating prototype and small-scale model of reinforced concrete structures by using the same material, added mass is demanded from a volumetric change and scale factor could be limited due to aggregate size. Therefore, it is desirable to use different materials for small-scale model. In our recent study, a modified similitude law was derived depending on geometric scale factor, equivalent modulus ratio and ultimate strain ratio. And quasi-static and pseudo-dynamic tests on the specimens are carried out using constant and variable modulus ratios, and correlation between prototype and small-scale model is investigated based on their test results. In this study, tests on scaled model of different concrete compressive strength aye carried out. In shaking table tests, added mass can not be varied. Thus, constant added mass on expected maximum displacement was applied and the validity was verified in shaking table tests. And shaking table tests on non-artificial mass model is carried out to settle a limitation of acceleration and the validity was verified in shanking table tests.
