  • In this paper, authors propose a novel step-up AC-DC chopper operated with power factor correction (PFC) and with high efficiency. The proposed chopper behaves with discontinuous current control (DCC) of input current. The input current waveform in the proposed chopper is got to be a discontinuous sinusoid form in proportion to magnitude of ac input voltage under the constant duty cycle switching. Therefore, the input power factor is nearly unity and the control method is simple. In the general DCC chopper, the switching devices are turned-on with the zero current switching, but turn-off of the switching devices is switched at current maximum value. To achieve a soft switching of the switching turn-off, the proposed chopper is used a new partial resonant circuit. The result is that the switching loss is very low and the efficiency of chopper is high.

  • In this study, a solid-state laser system adopting a new real time multi-discharge (RTMD) method in which three flashlamps are turned on consecutively was designed and fabricated to examine the pulse width and the pulse shape of the laser beams depending upon the changes in the lamp turn-on time. That is, this study shows a technology that makes it possible to make various pulse shapes by turning on three flashlamps consecutively on a real-time basis with the aid of a PIC one-chip microprocessor, With this technique, the lamp turn-on delay time can be varied more diversely from 0 to 10 ms and the real-time control is possible with an external keyboard, enabling various pulse shapes. In addition, longer pulses can be more widely used for industrial processing and lots of medical purposes.

전력계통용 파워일렉트로닉스 기기

  • 최근 전력설비 운용상의 여러 가지 과제에 대한 유망한 해결책으로서 파워일렉트로닉스 기기를 사용한 FACTS(Flexible AC Transmission System)가 주목을 받고 있다. 그 중에서도 자려식 변환기를 사용한 FACTS기기는 계통의 유효전력$\cdot$무효전력을 계통의 상태에 의존하지 않고 자유롭게 제어할 수 있어, 계통운용의 유연성을 비약적으로 확대할 수 있는 가능성이 있다. 미쓰비시전기는 전력기기간 계통에서의 자려식 변환기 응용의 파이어니어로서 1991년 간사이전력(주) 태산개폐소에 80Mvar SVG(전지형 무효전력발생장치)를 납품하였으며 또한 자원에너지청의 ''연계강화기술개발'' 보조사업으로 도쿄전력(주)을 비롯하여 전력회사 각사, 전원개발(주)와 (재)전력중앙연구소의 지도 하에 3단자 BTB(Back to Back) 실증시스템용으로 세계 최초의 6인치 GTO(Gate Turn-off Thyristor)를 사용한 53MVA의 자려식 변환기를 제작납품하여 수백MVA 클래스의 자려식변환기 제작기술을 확립하였다. 또한 최근에는 동사가 개발한 신소자 GCT(Gate Commutated Turn-off Thyristor)는 지금까지 대용량 자려식 변환기의 커다란 과제였던 운전손실을 반감할 수 있을 것으로 기대되고 있다. 한편 배전 분야에서는 전압변동, 고조파, 순간전압강하 등의 과제가 증가하고 있어, 미쓰비시전기는 이에 응할 수 있는 파워일렉트로닉스 기기로서 콤팩트 SVG(Static Var Generator), SSTS(Solid-state Transfer Switch), 액티브필너를 다수 납품하여 전력품질문제 해결에 공헌하고 있다.

공기밸브형 맥동연소 시스템의 안정성 및 성능특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on Stability and Performance Characteristics in Aero - Valved Pulsating Combustion System)

  • The experimental study was carried out to investigate the stability and the performance characteristics of the aero-valved pulsating combustion system with maximum operating capacity of 60KW. The effect of geometry of combustion system on the stable condition, the flammability limit, the total pressure oscillation amplitude, and the operating frequency can be identified, and the maximum turn-down-ratio is obtained up to 3.3. The total pressure oscillation amplitude can be controlled by tunning the length of the air inlet pipe. The empirical equation with which the operating frequency can be approximated is proposed and the discrepancy is within 5%. The volumetric efficiency is identified to be one of the important parameters determining the upper flammability limit and the maximum value of which is approximately 22%.

  • For domestic aircraft industry, not mass production of components is limited, small production scale of the order is made by part because many kinds of hundreds of thousands of kinds of small quantity batch production system are taking. But the high reliability and stability are required during the processing because they require high precision parts are required. It is found that when C-axis rotation speed was increased, the diameter of the cutting tool decreased with increasing surface roughness, while the turn-mail feed rate was increased with increasing the surface roughness.

HEV 계전기의 소음분산 저감에 관한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Reduction of Noise Dispersion for HEV Relay)

  • The dispersion of acoustic noise during the turn-on and turn-off switching of HEV(hybrid electric vehicle) relay was experimentally analyzed to identify the reason for the dispersion of noise level. An effective method was proposed to reduce the dispersion of noise level. First, a method to wrap the side of moving core with a tape was adopted to reduce the transverse vibration. It enabled the moving core to make a consistent motion and reduce the dispersion of noise level from switching operation of relay. Second, the dispersion of noise level from vibration transmission of parts such as the outer frame and yoke caulking part of relay were tested to find out main sources. From this result, it was identified that the yoke caulking part made inconsistent transient vibration and noise dispersion.

  • This paper proposes an autopilot system using a fuzzy PID controller to satisfy performances required for the automatic navigation of ships under various marine circumstances. The existing autopilot system using a PD type controller has difficulties in eliminating a steady-state error and compensating nonlinear characteristics of ships. The autopilot system using the proposed fuzzy PID controller has a self-tuning ability, an ability to compensate nonlinear characteristics, and an ability to turn at constant angular velocity. Therefore. it can naturally make a steady-state error zero, compensate nonlinear dynamic effect of ships, have an adaptability to parameter variation owing to shallow water effect, and have an ability to turn ship's course rapidly without overshoot through procedures of acceleration, constant, and deceleration of angular velocity for large course-changing.

  • In this paper, we analyse and present mechanical dynamic characteristics of a micro-machined vibrating silicon ring gyroscope which can measure rates of turn about three orthogonal axes. The ring gyroscope has a ring connected to the gyroscope main body by support-ligaments which are arranged with cyclic symmetry. The natural modes of its vibration can be distinguished into the in-plane motion and the out-of-plane motion which are coupled by the gyro-effect due to the rotation of the gyroscope main body. 백화점 판매원의 고객지향성이 고객만족도에 미치는 영향: 판매원관점 대 고객관점 (The Effect of Customer Orientation of Department Store Salespeople on Customer Satisfaction: Salespeople versus Customer Perspectives)

  • The purposes of this study were to compare the perspectives of salespeople and of customers on the perception of salespeople's customer orientation and to examine the effects of the customer orientation on customer satisfaction and in turn on store revisit intention. Data were obtained from the two groups of department store salespeople and their customers. A total of 300 pairs of questionnaires were distributed, and 224 pairs were analyzed. The results revealed that the salespeople's perception of the customer orientation was significantly higher than the customer's perception. The customer orientation affected the customer satisfaction with salesperson and with store while the sales orientation did not. The customer satisfaction, in turn, affected the store revisit intention, and the effect of the satisfaction with store was higher than that with salesperson. A slight difference between the customers and salespeople in such effects was observed. Generally the effects had higher predictabilities for the customers.

  • Shortest path problems are among the most studied network flow optimization problems, with interesting applications in various fields. One such field is the route determination service, where various kinds of shortest path problems need to be solved in location-based service. Our research aim is to propose a route technique in real-time location-based service (LBS) environments according to user's route preferences such as shortest, fastest, easiest and so on. Turn costs modeling and computation are important procedures in route planning. We propose a new rest modeling method for turn costs which are traditionally attached to edges in a graph. Our proposed route determination technique also has an advantage that can provide service interoperability by implementing XML web service for the OpenLS route determination service specification.
