  • GC-TSQ CI technique was applied for analysis of samples for the $32^{nd}$ OPCW proficiency test. Eight chemical weapon convention(CWC) related chemicals were identified by product ion mode analysis with GC-TSQ in the samples. Choice of specific precursor ion made it possible to supply selective total ion chromatograms(TICs) of target molecule. GC-TSQ CI anaylsis technique was useful method for chemical warfare agent verification because analysis selectivity was improved by choice of mother molecule as precursor ion and gave mass spectra.

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a reliable and valid instrument to assess Korean teachers' strategies for addressing challenging behaviors of preschoolers. The Teacher Strategy Questionnaire(TSQ) consisting of 34 items was developed with three theoretically driven factors(positive proactive, positive reactive, and negative reactive strategies). Participants were 238 preschool and daycare center teachers who responded to the TSQ. Validity and reliability of the TSQ were explored using Cronbach's $\alpha$, item analysis, and factor analyses. The reliability of the TSQ was relatively high, ranging from .74 to .85. No item needed to be eliminated. Among the three pre-structured factors of the TSQ, one positive proactive factor was identified as having two innate factors.

  • Object : The relationships between the TSQ(Time structure questionnaire) and Well-being were examined. Methods : TSQ and questionnaire about Well-being were executed for 223 university students from April 26th to May 7th, 2010. The questionnaire adapted the item of the TSQ and Korean WHOQOL-BREF, SWLS(Satisfaction with Life Scale), LSES(Life Satisfaction Expectancy Scale), SHS(Subjective Happiness Scale). The questionnaires were distributed directly to the participants. Relativity between the TSQ and questionnaire about Well-being were analyzed using Pearson's correlation analysis. Results : As a result of the relationship between the TSQ and questionnaire about Well-being, overall there was a positive correlation. TSQ(sense of purpose, structured routine, persistence, past orientation) and questionnaire about Well-being showed a statistically significant correlation(p<.05). Conclusion : A structured time use and well-being by investigating the relationship, we were able to see the importance of time management. Currently, clinical occupational therapy focused on performance components, in future, intervention of personal time management to help make ones live well-being.

  • Zinc plays a key role in genetic expression, cell division, and cell growth and is essential for the functions of more than 450 metalloenzyme. There are high concentrations of zinc in pigment epithelium in bullfrog eye. Zinc deficiency causes night blindness and abnormal dark adaptation. The purpose of this study was to identify ERG (electroretinogram) b-wave sensitivity during light and dark adaptation in bullfrog retina after zinc and zinc chelators treatment such as histidine and TSQ (N-(6-methoxy-8-qunolyl)-p-toluenesulfon amide). Especially, we focused whether histidine act as a zinc chelator in the Muller cell. The results of our study are summarized as follows: 1) Both zinc and histidine elevated ERG b-wave amplitude and threshold in Muller cells by accelerating rhodopsin regeneration time and increased a-peak absorbance during light adaptation. 2) TSQ reduced those by prolonging rhodopsin regeneration time and decrement of a-peak absorbance during light adaptation. 3) Zinc shortened rhodopsin regeneration time and prolonged a-peak absorbance. These results suggested that histidine may act as a zinc-mediated transporter in presynaptic Muller cell membrane rather than zinc chelator and acts as a GABA-receptor inhibitor which blocks $Cl^-$ influx to the postsynapse.

  • Small amounts of zinc ions regulate a plentitude of enzymatic proteins, receptors and transcription factors, thus cells need accurate homeostasis of zinc ions. Some neurons have developed mechanisms to accumulate zinc in specific membrane compartment ("vesicular zinc"), which can be evidenced using histochemical techniques. These neurons are the socalled zinc enriched (ZEN) neurons, which accumulate glutamate and zinc inside their synaptic vesicles and release it during synaptic transmission. In the present paper we have studied the distribution of the ZEN terminals in the rat hippo-campus using ZnSe autometallography, Neo-Timm staining, ZnT3 immunohistochemistry and TSQ fluorescence staining.

  • Aseptic packaged cooked rice without oxygen absorber and EVOH material was not suitable for good quality during long storage at room temperature. Quality change of aseptic packaged cooked rice with OPP/EVOH/EPL(P-1), PET/EVOH/EPL(P-2) and OPP/EVOH/LLDPE(P-3) for lid material and FX and TSQ for oxygen absorber was observed during storage(60 days) at $20^{\circ}C,\;30^{\circ}C\;and\;40^{\circ}C$. To evaluate quality change of aseptic packaged cooked rice, water content, color, pH, acidity, hardness, and total plate count were measured periodically. The results showed that moisture content was decreased as storage time increased while storage temperature showed no significant effect. P-2 and FX combination had the lowest evaporation of water. L value was decreased as storage time increased while a value increased in all treatment. P-2 and FX combination had the best result for color value. Titratable acidity and pH of P-3 increased up to 20, 5.5, respectively at the end of storage while the other treatment showed no significant effect. Hardness of aseptic packaging of cooked rice was decreased as temperature of storage increased while lid materials and oxygen absorber types showed no significant effect. Result of total plate count showed that there was no detection for $20^{\circ}C\;and\;30^{\circ}C$ storage temp. while more than $1{\times}10^6\;CFU/g\;for\;40^{\circ}C$ storage temp. at the end of storage. In conclusion, aseptic packaged cooked rice could be stored and distributed for 6 month at room temp. and effect of lid materials on quality change of aseptic packaged cooked rice was more significant than oxygen absorber.

  • A HPLC-MS/MS method was developed for simultaneous determination of six sweeteners (acesulfame-K, cyclamate, saccharin, sucralose, stevioside, aspartame) in children's favorite foods. The procedure involves an extraction of the six sweeteners with 50% methanol solution, sample clean-up using the Carrez clearing reagent and filtering with cartridge filter. The HPLC separation was performed on a Hypersil Gold (150 mm ${\times}$ 2.1 mm 5 um) column using the water/acetonitrile mobile phase (95:5). Mass spectrometric analysis was carried out using the TSQ Quantum Ultra operated in negative and positive ESI/SRM. With this method, good linear relationship, sensitivity and reproducibility were obtained. The spike recoveries of six sweeteners for 2 kinds of foods spiked into 0.4 mg/ kg ranged from 87.4 to 114.7%. The detection limits were above 0.02 mg/kg. The method has been applied to determination of six sweeteners in children's favorite foods.

  • Determination of PFOS in instant food packing materials by LC-MS/MS was developed. The procedure involves an extraction of the Food Packing Materials with 100% methanol soxcelet extraction method. The LC separation was performed by Hypersil Gold ($150mm{\times}2.1mm$ 5 um) with mobile phases of 2 mM amoniumacetate solution and acetonitrile. The Mass spectral acquisition was done in negative ESI/SRM using the TSQ Quantum Ultra. With this method, good linear relationship, sensitivity and reproducibility were obtained. The rate of recoveries of PFOS from paper material spiked with 1.0 ug/L were 99.84%, respectively. The limit of quantitation and limit of detection were below 0.03 ug/L and 0.009 ug/L. The method had been applied to determination of PFOS in instant food packing materials.
