  • This paper presents the design of intelligent moving machine control system using a real time speech recognition. The proposed moving machine control system is composed of four separated module, which are main control module, speech recognition module, servo motor driving module and sensor module. In main control module with microprocessor(80C196KC), one part of the artificial intelligences, fuzzy logic, was applied to the proposed intelligent control system. In order to improve the non-linear characteristic which depend on an user's weight and variable environment, encoder attached to the servo motors was used for feedback control. The proposed system is tested using 9 words lot control of the mobile robot, and the performance of a mobile robot using voice and joystick command is also evaluated.

  • In this paper, we propose a new fuzzy clustering scheme that optimizes the initial structure and the parameters to improve the performance of a intelligent systems. The proposed method keeps the good properties of clustering, and improves the total systems' performance at the same time, Especially, the proposed algorithm not only keeps robust to change threshold value in the optimization process, but also improves the performance of a system through the process of the self-organizing and the converging intelligent systems in its structure of cluster. In experiments, the superiority of the proposed scheme is presented by comparing its performance with other methods.

  • In this paper, a new approach to modeling of nonlinear systems using fuzzy theory is presented. To express the various and complex behavior of nonlinear system, we combine multiple model method with hierachical prioritized structure, and the mountain clustering technique is used in partitioning of system. TSK rule structure is adopted to form the fuzzy rules, and Back propagation algorithm is used for learning parameters in consequent parts of the rules. Also we soften the paradigm of Mamdani's inference mechanism by using Yager's S-OWA operators. Computer simulations are performed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • The Intelligent Space(ISpace) provides challenging research fields for surveillance, human-computer interfacing, networked camera conferencing, industrial monitoring or service and training applications. ISpace is the space where many intelligent devices, such as computers and sensors, are distributed. According to the cooperation of many intelligent devices, the environment, it is very important that the system knows the location information to offer the useful services. In order to achieve these goals, we present a method for representing, tracking and human Jollowing by fusing distributed multiple vision systems in ISpace, with application to pedestrian tracking in a crowd. This paper describes appearance based unknown object tracking with the distributed vision system in intelligent space. First, we discuss how object color information is obtained and how the color appearance based model is constructed from this data. Then, we discuss the global color model based on the local color information. The process of learning within global model and the experimental results are also presented.
