건물의 기하학적 형태를 고려한 TRNSYS 모델링 방법 (Modeling Method of the TRNSYS Considering of a Building Geometry)

  • TRNSYS 16 had just a wall area and azimuth as an input value about a building shape. So, a geometrical shape of a building was not considered in simulation using TRNSYS 16. In this study, we suggested the more appropriate modeling method for simulation considering of building geometry in TRNSYS 16. To suggest this method, we simulated energy needs affected by shading effect that caused by a geometrical shape of a building, and compared the result to the simulation result of non-shading environment.

  • The purpose of this study is modelling of system air-conditioner for TRNSYS. System air-conditioner is operated by a variable capacity compressor and accommodated by multiple evaporators. By reason of these feature, realizing performance of system air-conditioner for TRNSYS was incomplete. In this study performance data of system air-conditioner and control logics are used to make system air-conditioner module for TRNSYS. Performance data contains total capacity, power input and capacity index of system air-conditioner. The simulation was carried out in a mode of temperature level control using TRNSYS 16. The simulation shows that the system air-conditioner model operate variable capacity and can compute capacity index and power input of system.

  • Since 2001, the Building Energy Efficiency Rating and Certification System have been implemented in Korea. For rating the energy efficiency performance, the evaluation tool for Building Energy Efficiency Rating System has been used. In this study, the evaluation tool was compared with detailed analysis programs(Trnsys 16, ESP-r) through simulations of heating energy needs for apartment, and we checked the character of the evaluation tool.

동일 체적의 건물 형상에 따른 에너지 소비량 패턴에 대한 분석 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Energy Consumption Patterns According to the Building Shapes with the Same Volume)

  • This study was focused on the establishment of a fundamental DB(database) that is available in the building design process, so we performed the simulation analysis about the energy consumption on the various same volume buildings. Because energy consumption in building is affected by the exterior surface area, the ratio of long/short length in surface and the adjacent internal surface area etc.. For these purpose, we assumed the unit module and made a constructable 16 model buildings which are composed of the 16 unit modules. Then we analyzed the simulation using the TRNSYS 16 and the Seoul weather data. In results, energy consumption in building is more reduced that in case of the smaller exterior surface area, the lower stories building and the larger adjacent surface area etc.. Further study is to be required the sensitivity analysis on the various weather conditions, building shapes and window area etc..

TRNSYS를 이용한 Borehole 방식 태양열 계간축열 시스템의 성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on Performance of Seasonal Borehole Thermal Energy Storage System Using TRNSYS)

  • The heating performance of a solar thermal seasonal storage system applied to a glass greenhouse was analyzed numerically. For this study, the gardening 16th zucchini greenhouse of Jeollanam-do agricultural research & extension services was selected. And, the heating load of the glass greenhouse selected was 576 GJ. BTES (Borehole Thermal Energy Storage) was considered as a seasonal storage, which is relatively economical. The TRNSYS was used to predict and analyze the dynamic performance of the solar thermal system. Numerical simulation was performed by modeling the solar thermal seasonal storage system consisting of flat plate solar collector, BTES system, short-term storage tank, boiler, heat exchanger, pump, controller. As a result of the analysis, the energy of 928 GJ from the flat plate solar collector was stored into BTES system and 393 GJ of energy from BTES system was extracted during heating period, so that it was confirmed that the thermal efficiency of BTES system was 42% in 5th year. Also since the heat supplied from the auxiliary boiler was 87 GJ in 5th year, the total annual heating demand was confirmed to be mostly satisfied by the proposed system.

군간부 숙소에 적용된 중용량 및 멀티 보일러 시스템의 난방 및 급탕에너지 비교 (Heating and Hot Water Supply Energy Comparison of Medium Capacity and Multi Boilers System applied to Military Officer Housing)

  • Heating and hot water supply energy consumption of medium and multi boiler systems applied to military officer housing are compared with in-situ experiment and TRNSYS dynamic simulation program. In a multiple boiler system, small capacity boilers are connected in parallel to meet the required capacity. For handling partial loads, medium capacity boiler relies on on-off control, while multi boiler adopts PI control. Since multi boiler has higher efficiency and better control strategy, the results show that energy consumption can be reduced significantly with the multi boiler system.

외기냉방 시스템의 제어방법이 에너지 소비량에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (Effects of Control Methods of Outdoor Air Cooling System on Energy Consumption in Building)

  • 본 연구에서는 자연외기를 활용하여 건물의 에너지절약을 위한 외기냉방제어 시스템에 대하여 다양한 제어방법에 따른 제어특성 및 에너지 소비량에 미치는 영향에 관해 시뮬레이션 연구를 수행하였다. 연구 방법으로는 TRNSYS 프로그램을 활용하여 시스템 해석 모델링을 수행하였으며, 외기 냉방을 하지 않은 경우와 기존의 외기냉방 제어방법들을 적용하였을 경우에 대해 제어성능에 대한 비교 분석이 이루어졌다. 연구 결과로 외기온도 변화에 따라 적절한 외기도입 온도조건을 선정하는 것이 에너지 절감에 효과적이며, 외기와 환기온도를 비교하여 온도제어하는 방법이 에너지 절감효과가 가장 크게 나타남을 알 수 있었다.

중앙냉방시스템의 외기온도조건을 고려한 나이트 퍼지 제어방안에 관한 연구 (Night Purge Control Strategies With Outdoor Air Temperature Conditions for Central Cooling System)

  • 본 연구에서는 자연외기를 활용하여 건물의 중앙냉방시스템에 대한 에너지를 절약하기 위한 제어방법으로서 외기온도 조건을 고려한 나이트 퍼지제어의 적용방안에 대해 시뮬레이션 연구가 수행되었다. 외기온도의 변화특성 및 건물의 축냉성능 등이 고려되었으며, 나이트 퍼지제어를 위한 운전시작시간과 제어설정온도의 선정방안이 연구되었다. 본 연구를 위하여 TRNSYS 프로그램을 활용하여 시스템 해석 모델링을 수행하였으며, 기존 제어방식 대비 제안된 제어방법의 에너지 절약성능을 비교 분석하였다. 연구결과로 외기온도 변화에 따라 나이트 퍼지제어를 위한 운전조건을 선정한 제안된 제어방법이 기존의 나이트 퍼지제어 제어방식과 비교하였을 때는 최대 16.8%, 나이트 퍼지제어를 적용하지 않은 경우에 비해서는 최대 28.6%의 에너지 절감이 가능함을 알 수 있었다.

  • This paper is concerned with economic analysis and comparison between hybrid and central air conditioning system by TRNSYS simulation and Life Cycle Cost(LCC) analysis. Hybrid air conditioning system that is using VAV for interior zone and system air-conditioner for perimeter zone is installed in building A. Central air conditioning system is composed of VAV and convector. The simulation was carried out in mode temperature level control using TRNSYS 16. From the result of simulation and LCC analysis, hybrid air conditioning system was better than central air conditioning system in initial cost and energy consumption.

공동주택에서 바닥복사냉방의 적정 운영방안에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Operation Strategy of Radiant Floor Cooling in Apartment Buildings)

  • In this study, the operation strategy of the radiant floor cooling is evaluated in terms of indoor environmental conditions and energy consumption through simulations using the TRNSYS comparing the existing cooling operation. The operation strategy during continuously operated for cooling is proposed that a representative room had additional equipments and other rooms were operated with only a radiant floor cooling system and that system and control method for cooling are varied with period while intermittently operated for cooling. Specifically, when there are no people in the room, rooms were operated by only radiant floor cooling system using cooling storage and when people are occupied, rooms were operated by dehumidification and supplementary cooling device with radiant floor cooling system. The results of this study show that proposed operation strategy can stably maintain the set room air temperature and can reduce the energy consumption compared to the existing cooling method during continuously operated for cooling. While intermittently operated for cooling, the difference of set room air temperature by proposed operation strategy does not happen, satisfying comfort standards and the radiant floor cooling can expect to supply stable electric power because of decreasing demand for peak electric power of energy consumption.
