  • Recently, reduction of road traffic noise in residential buildings has become one of the most important subjects. To reduce the road traffic noise, noise impact assessment by the road traffic prediction model is required before building construction. For reasonable road traffic noise prediction, it is required to analysis of various factors in road traffic prediction models. This paper was studied the road traffic noise propagation factors such as distance from road to building, receiver height, alignment angle of building and reflection coefficient of the building facade by two calculation models, RLS-90 and CRTN. The result showed that noise reduction was generally higher at bottom stories by ground absorption effect. The reflection coefficient of the building facade was affect of additional sound pressure level by facade reflecting. And alignment angle of building at $90^{\circ}$ was performed effective noise reduction better than $0^{\circ}$.

  • In this study, we estimated the effect of the traffic noise in urban area using the LiDAR data. The propagation of noise has a strong relationship between distance and shape of surface. Therefore, it is necessary to consider the distribution of buildings for estimating noise assessment in urban area because noise propagations will be affected by buildings. For this, we were developed DEM and DBM using the LiDAR data in order to analyze the propagation of traffic noise precisely in urban area. The level of traffic noise were calculated by investigating the real volume of traffic in study area. The SoundPLAN S/W and RLS90 algorithm was used for traffic noise assessment.

  • In Pusan port, the studies, which analysis container cargo volumes by using forecasting methods and research about container logistics system, etc., have been continuously performed. But, in Pusan port, this study on an evaluation of traffic congestion has been scarcely performed until now. Especially, when changing and extending a berth, and constructing a new port, it is very important to examine this field. And it should be considered. Thus, this paper aims to analysis the effect of ship traffic condition in 2011, to evaluate marine traffic congestion, according to changing ship traffic volumes in Pusan port. To analysis it, we used simulation method and examined the results

  • Construction of the Shinkansen was planned on the basis of a traffic volume determined by the Trunk Line Investigation Committee set up within JNR in 1957. Passenger and freight traffic along the vitally important Tokaido Main Line had been steadily increasing, passenger traffic reaching $24\%$ and freight $23\%$ of the total domestic traffic. Train frequency was expected to reach the upper limit in the 1960s. Estimated traffic volume was 13,000 million passenger-km for the opening year 1964 and 20,000 million for 1975. Although the traffic did not reach the estimed figure during 1975 reached about twice the estimated figure for the Tokyo-Shinoska Section. The amazing growth of the national economy was undoubtedly responsible for this.

  • The Maritime Traffic Safety Law of P. R. China has not the legal nature of navigation rule which regulates the vessel traffic directly but has the legal nature of management to ensure the safety and good order of the whale marine traffic. For that reason, the legal status of this Law is a general basic norm for the marine safety regulations rather than a definite enforcement regulation. This Law does not have any clear statements on adaptation of the steering and sailing rules of the International Regulations for Preventing Collisions at Sea, but it can be presumed the Convention would be applied on the viewpoint of the international practice. The subject matter of this Law is easily understandable, because the IMO and shipping countries have already made similar legislation. Since the maritime traffic condition of the P. R. China also has a direct effect upon the Korean coastal waters, it is essential to observe closely the process of enforcement and development of the P. R. China's Maritime Traffic Safety Law.

  • The road traffic noise becomes aggravated due to the rapid increase of vehicles. It has a great effect on the dwelling environment. Therefore we investigate the characteristics and sources of the road traffic noise through grasping the status of the road traffic noise. This report is concerned with the description of the various factors affecting the generation and propagation of outdoor traffic noise. It is particularly concerned with the mathematical interpretation of these processes and the resulting development of prediction techniques which are now broadly used for both the environment impact assessment of road traffic noise and the planning and design of roads and adjoining land use.

  • Nonrecurring congestions are generally caused by random or less predictable events, such as accidents, spilled loads stalled or broken-down vehicles that, temporarily reduce the capacity of the freeway. The purpose of this paper is to present the effect of incidents on the traffic congestion on the urban freeway by simulation method. The simulation scenario is composed of two level traffic conditions, two level incident severities, and eight level incident durations. After incident, the recovering duration to the normal traffic flow, increased by linear of incident duration. Total vehicles travel time increased and average travel speed decreased by squares curve of incident duration. Considering incident impacts, incident management system is evaluated the major function of the urban freeway traffic management system. Also, necessary the related research to detect, verify, and develop effective response strategies for traffic incidents.

  • In the last decade, substantial progress has been achieved in intelligent traffic control technologies to overcome consistent difficulties of traffic congestion and its adverse effect on smart cities. Edge computing is one such advanced progress facilitating real-time data transmission among vehicles and roadside units to mitigate congestion. An edge computing-based deep reinforcement learning system is demonstrated in this study that appropriately designs a multiobjective reward function for optimizing different objectives. The system seeks to overcome the challenge of evaluating actions with a simple numerical reward. The selection of reward functions has a significant impact on agents' ability to acquire the ideal behavior for managing multiple traffic signals in a large-scale road network. To ascertain effective reward functions, the agent is trained withusing the proximal policy optimization method in several deep neural network models, including the state-of-the-art transformer network. The system is verified using both hypothetical scenarios and real-world traffic maps. The comprehensive simulation outcomes demonstrate the potency of the suggested reward functions.

  • This paper aims to evaluate the freeway traffic management Strategy based on exTMS according to traffic situation of freeway. As freeway user's demands increase, we thus need future-oriented and optimized traffic management. So, through improving the existing system and introducing the advanced system, these systems evaluate for not only preparing the application in real world but also preliminary feasibility. To evaluate effects of the traffic management based on exTMS, in this study, shoulder LCS, advanced VMS(assumption in it is improving next-generation system which it can be offering diverse dynamic traffic information), Ramp-metering system are applicated in simulation. In addition, this study evaluates the effect when all proposed systems are applicated, and compare the individual effect of when independent system is applicated, through considering about traffic condition of V/C=0.5, V/C=0.8, V/C=1.2. The study results show that all assumed cases, the travel speed were improved according to the increasing V/C. Furthermore, the results of evaluated the individual system show that the shoulder LCS was found to be the largest effect, and the effect of VMS(detour rate is 11%) is larger than the other cases.
