비순환기계 중환자의 예후인자로서 Cardiac Troponin I의 유용성 (Usefulness of Cardiac Troponin I as a Prognostic Marker in Noncardiac Critically Ill Patients)

  • 배 경 : cTnI는 심근손상의 특이 표시자로서 급성관상동맥 질환에서 높은 증가는 나쁜 예후와 상관이 있다. cTnI의 증가는 여러 가지 비심장성 중증질환에서도 관찰할 수 있다. 연구자 등은 비순환기계 중환자의 예후인자로서 cTnI의 유용성을 조사하였다. 대상 및 방법 : 2003년 1월부터 2004년 7월까지 경상대학교 병원내과계 중환자실에 급성 관상동맥 증후군 이외의 중증 질환으로 입원한 215명의 환자(남:142명, 여:73명, 평균 나이:$63{\pm}2$세)를 대상으로 하였다. 환자들은 중환자실 입원 24시간 이내에 SAPS II와 SOFA점수를 산출하였고 혈청 cTnI를 측정하였다. cTnI 양성군(${\geq}0.1{\mu}g/L$)과 음성군($<0.1{\mu}g/L$) 환자의 중환자실 제 10병일째와 30병일째 사망률을 비교하였다. cTnI 양성군에서 중환자실 제 10병일째와 30병일째에 혈청 cTnI의 평균수치를 비교하였다. cTnI 양성군에서 혈청 cTnI 수치와 SAPS II와 SOFA점수와의 상관관계를 조사하였다. 결 과 : 1) cTnI양성군 환자는 120명(56%)이었고 음성군환자는 95명(44%)였다. 2) 중환자실 제 10병일째와30병일째의 사망률은 cTnI 양성군(29%, 41%)이 음성군(12%, 21%)보다 유의하게 높았다(p<0.01). 3) cTnI 양성군에서 중환자실제10병일째와 30병일째의 cTnI 평균 수치는 비생존군($4.5{\pm}9.2{\mu}g/L$, $3.5{\pm}7.9{\mu}g/L$)이 생존군($1.8{\pm}3.6{\mu}g/L$, $2.0{\pm}3.9{\mu}g/L$)보다 유의하게 높았다(p<0.05). 4) cTnI 양성군에서 cTnI 수치는 SAPS II 점수(r=0.24, p<0.001)와 SOFA 점수(r=0.30, p<0.001)와 유의한 상관관계가 있었다. 결 론 : 혈청 cTnI는 비순환기계 중환자의 유용한 예후인자가 될 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

  • Thyroglobulin과 반응하는 monoclonal antibody를 3클론(TN-1, TN-2 및 TN-3)을 확립하였다. 이들 중 1클론 (TN-2)은 thyroglobulin의 3차원적인 구조를 인식하면서 음전하를 띠는 자가항원의 일종인 phosphatidylserine과도 교차반응성을 나타내었다. 따라서 TN-2를 이용한 자가면역성 갑상선염의 진단 및 치료에의 적용효과가 기대된다.

액정 소자의 열적 안전성에 관한 연구 (Study for Thermal Stability of Liquid Crystal Device)

  • In this study, we investigated about electrooptics characteristic of three kinds of TN cell on the polyimide surface. Monodomain alignments of thermal stressed TN cell over temperature of liquid crystal isotropic phase were almost the same as that of no thermal stressed TN cells. However, the thermal stressed TN cells have many defects. Also, threshold voltage and response time of thermal stressed TN cells show the same performances as no thermal stressed TN cells. There were little changes of value in these TN cells. However, transmittances of TN cells on the polyimide surface decrease with increasing thermal stress time. Finally, the residual DC voltage of the thermal stressed TN cell on the polyimide surface shows decrease of characteristics as increasing thermal stress time. Therefore, the thermal stability of TN cell was decreased by high thermal stress for the long times.

  • In this paper, we studied the electro-optical(EO) performance of photo-aligned twisted nematic(TN)-liquid crystal display(LCD) with oblique non-polarized ultraviolet(UV) light irradiation on polyimide(Pl) surface. We observed that the voltage-transmittance and response time characteristics of photo-aligned TN-LCD is almost same compared to conventional TN-LCD. Also, we observed that the voltage-holding-ratio(VHR) of photo-aligned TN-LCD is almost same compared to conventional TN-LCD.

  • The effects of polarity of the polymer on transcription-aligned twisted nematic (TN)-liquid crystal display (LCD) on various the polyimide (PI) surfaces were investigated. The monodomain alignment of nematic (N)LC is obtained in cells fabricated by transcription alignment method on PI surface with medium polarity. The LC alignment using transcription alignment method is attributed to polarity of the polymer. The threshold voltage of transcription-aligned TN-LCD decreases with increasing the polarity of the polymer on three kinds of the PI surfaces. The threshold voltage of transcription-aligned TN-LCD on PI surface with high polarity is almost the same compared to rubbing-aligned TN-LCD. The response time of transcription-aligned TN-LCD decreases with the increasing the polarity of the polymer on all PI surfaces. The decay time of transcription-aligned TN-LCD is slow compared with the rubbing-aligned TN-LCD.

  • 국내농작물의 근부토양으로 분리한 Pseudomonas의 염색체 DNA에 Tn5를 사용하여 Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. kurstaki HD73의 독소유전자(cp)를 도입하였다. Tn5의 중심부위에 있는 BamHI위치 (Tn5-cp)와 BglII 위치 (IS5OL-cp)에 각각 독소유 전자를 도입하였으며 두 종류의 Pseudomonas 균주에는 Tn5-cp로써 그리고 다른 세 종류의 Pseudomonase 균주에는 IS5OL-cp로써 transposition하였다. 면역학적 방법과 흰불나방 애벌레에 대한 살충성 검정으로서 독소유전자의 도입과 발현을 확인하였다.

  • This paper write about earth system for the prevention electric shock and a protection of equipment in england. The IEC60364 and BSI(British Standards Institution) define earthing method(IT, TT, TN-C, TN-S, TN-C-S)-BSI is british standards and in case of england almost use the TN system. TN system can classify TN-S & TN-C-S(PME). The findings on survey in england are used the TN-S system and TN-C-S system about 70% and residue 30% are used TT system and IT system from the exiting state of things.

  • We have investigated electro-optical characteristics in three kinds of twisted nematic (TN) cells on the polyimide surface. The threshold voltage and the response time of thermal stressed TN cells were same that of no thermal stressed TN cells. There were little change of value in these TN cells. On the other hand, transmittance of no thermal stressed TN cells were better than that of thermal stressed TN cells. Transmittances of TN cells on the polyimide surface decreased by increasing thermal stress time. Moreover, the residual DC of the thermal stressed TN cells increased as increasing thermal stress temperature and time. Therefore, thermal stability of TN cells were decreased gradually by giving high thermal stress for a long time.

Adipogenic function of tetranectin mediated by enhancing mitotic clonal expansion via ERK signaling

  • Tetranectin (TN), an adipogenic serum protein, enhances adipocyte differentiation, however, its functional mechanism has yet to be elucidated. In the present study, we investigated the adipogenic function of TN by using medium containing TN-depleted fetal bovine serum (TN-del-FBS) and recombinant mouse TN (mTN). The adipocyte differentiation of 3T3-L1 cells was significantly enhanced by mTN supplementation essentially at differentiation induction, which indicated a potential role of the protein in the early differentiation phase. The adipogenic effect of mTN was more significant with insulin in the differentiation induction cocktail, implicating their close functional relationship. mTN enhanced not only the proliferation of growing cells, but also mitotic clonal expansion (MCE) that is a prerequisite for adipocyte differentiation in the early phase. Consistently, mTN increased the phosphorylation of ERK in the early phase of adipocyte differentiation. Results of this study demonstrate that the adipogenic function of mTN is mediated by enhancing MCE via ERK signaling.

GROWTH AND PUBERTY TRAITS OF THAI NATIVE (TN) AND TN × ANGLO-NUBIAN DOES

  • This paper presents results from a study of the age and weight at puberty of Thai does. A randomized block $3{\times}3$ factorial design was used. Factors were genotype (Thai Native; TN, 75% TN $\times$ 25% Anglo-Nubian; AN and 50 TN $\times$ 50% AN does), year of kidding (1989, 1990 and 1991) and birth type (single or twin) as a block. It was shown that there were no significant (p > 0.05) difference in age at puberty among genotypes ($167.6{\pm}6.0$, $157.6{\pm}7.0$ and 160.0 = 4.7 days for TN, 75% TN $\times$ 25% AN and 50% TN $\times$ 50% AN does, respectively) and between birth types. However, does kidded in 1991 had significantly (p < 0.01) longer age at puberty ($194.0{\pm}7.4$ days) than did does kidded in 1989 ($143.0{\pm}4.5$ days) or in 1990 ($148.1{\pm}5.7$ days). There was an interaction effect between genotype and year. Fifty % TN $\times$ 50% AN does had significantly (p < 0.05) higher weights at pubery ($17.2{\pm}0.4kg$) than those of TN($14.3{\pm}0.5kg$ and 75% TN $\times$ 25% AN ($14.4{\pm}0.6kg$) does. There was no significant difference in weights at puberty between TN and 75% TN $\times$ 25% AN does. There was no effect of birth type on weight at puberty. There was an interaction effect between genotype and year of kidding on age and weight at puberty and on growth rate from birth to weaning.
