Biodegradation of 4,5,6-Trichloroguaiacol by White Rot Fungi, Phanerochaete chrysosporium, Trametes versicolor, and Inonotus cuticularis (수질분해균(水質分解菌)에 의한 4,5,6-Trichloroguaiacol의 미생물분해(微生物分解))

  • In order to evaluate the biodegradability and mechanism of 4,5,6-trichloroguaiacol (TCG) produced from bleaching process in pulp mill by Phanerochaete chrysosporium, Trametes versicolor, and Inonotus cuticularis, changes in TCG and its metabolites during biodegradation were analyzed by HPLC, and GC/MS spectrometry. By three fungi, the maximum biodegradability against TCG were very quickly reached, compared with other chlorinated aromatic compounds such as PCP. Within 24 hrs, T versicolor indicated up to 95% of TCG removal rate, and P. chrysosporium and I. cuticularis also showed more than 80%, and 90%, respectively. Particularly, in case of T. versicolor, the removal rate of TCG after 1 hr. incubation was reached to approximately 90%, implying very rapid metabolization of TCG. However, by analyzing the filtrates extracted from TCG containing culture by GC/MS, the major metabolites at initial stage of biodegradation were dimers, indicating that the added TCG monomers were quickly polymerized. The others were trichloroveratrole, dichloroguaiacol, and trichlorobenzoic acid, suggesting that TCG may be biodegraded by several sequential reactions such as polymerization, oxidation, methylation, dechlorination, and hydroxylation. In other experiments, the extracellular fluid which did not contain any fungal mycelia was used to evaluate the effect of mycelia on TCG biodegradation. The extracellular fluid of T. versicolor also biodegraded TCG up to 90% within 24hrs, but those of P. chrysosporium and I. cuticularis did not show any good biodegradability. T versicolor showed the highest value of laccase, and other two fungi indicated a little activity of lignin peroxidase (LiP) and manganese peroxidase (MnP). In addition, the laccase activity of T. versicolor was very linearly proportional to the removal rate of TCG during incubation, in other words, showing the induction effect against TCG. Consequently, the biodegradation of TCG was very dependent upon the activity of laccase.

  • 최근 몇 년 동안 컴퓨터 업계에서는 신뢰 컴퓨팅, 특히 TCG가 내놓은 새로운 표준에대한 필요성과 기능, 그리고 새로운 가능성이 큰 이슈가 되어 왔다. TCG는 세계 IT 업계의 핵심 기업들이 중심이 되어 설립된 비영리 업계 단체로서 PC를 필두로 컴퓨팅 환경의 보안성 향상을 목표로 하고 있고, 이에 따른 여러 제품들이 출시되고 있다. TCG관련 제품 중 특히 TPM을 탑재한 PC 및 handheld PC가 국내 시장에서도 보급되고있고, 전세계적으로는 연간 5천만 대 이상이 TPM을 채용하고 있다. 이제 신뢰 컴퓨팅을 적용할 다음 목표는 임베디드 시스템 분야가 될 것으로 전망된다. 본 고에서는 신뢰컴퓨팅의 개념을 설명하고 TCG의 최근 동향과 애플리케이션을 살펴본다. 그리고, TCG에 속한 다양한 워킹 그룹들 중 특히 모바일 폰 워킹 그룹(MPWG)에 대하여 고찰한 후 결론을 맺는다.

A Study on Applying Real Card to Online Trading Card Game (온라인 TCG 게임에의 현실 카드 적용 방안 연구)

  • Current virtual game interfaces cannot comprehend our metaphor, cannot reflect on our natural behavior aspect, cannot make us immerse into a game, and makes a barrier between virtual game space and our real behavior. It is very meaningful issue to use real objects tightly related to human-being's behaviors or reactions for interacting with game applications. Interactive Augmented Reality interfaces may augment users' perception of the real world by adding virtual information to it. We attempted an experiment on camera-based non-marker interface for online TCG application. This experiment uses real TCG cards which are recognized by our two phases Image KeyPoint Extraction/Matching Algorithm. These initiative experiments not only enlarge immersion and reality to the game, but also make real and virtual world seamless.

Prototyping a NFC based TCG and its Convenience Analysis (NFC 기반의 TCG 프로토타입 개발과 편의성 분석)

  • In this paper, we developed a board game prototype, which is a trading card game (TCG) based on near field communication (NFC), in order to compare the convenience between an analog style board game and its corresponding digitalized board game based on NFC. Especially we try to maintain the advantages of an analog style board game such as social fellowship and communication skill in developing its corresponding digitalized TCG game. 20 players participated in our experiments, and each team consists of 2 payers. After they play an analog card game and its corresponding digitalized card game, they answer our survey questionnaires. We can confirm that the NFC TCG offers more convenience to players than its corresponding analog card game according to survey results.

  • TCG는 Trading Card Game의 약자로 수집과 게임을 목적으로 디자인된 카드게임을 일컫는다. TCG는 1993년 미국의 수학자인 리처드 가필드(Richard Garfield)가 만든 '매직: 더 개더링'(Magic: The Gathering)을 시작으로 '스펠파이어'(Spellfire), '일루미나티'(Illuminati)와 같은 다양한 게임으로 이어지며 하나의 독자적인 장르로 자리매김하게 되었다. TCG는 전략적 게임 디자인을 통한 독자적 장르의 재미도 가지고 있지만, 수집 요소가 가진 장점으로 인해 많은 타 장르 게임에서 혼합되어 사용되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 최초의 TCG인 '매직: 더 개더링'의 분석을 통해 다양한 덱을 만들어내는 방법에 대해 연구하고 나아가 타 장르 활용 방안에 대하여 제시하고자 한다.

Biomechanical Analysis of Lower Extremity Joints According to Landing Types during Maximum Vertical Jump after Jump Landing in Youth Sports Athletes (유소년 스포츠 선수들의 점프착지 후 수직점프 동작 시 착지 유형에 따른 하지관절의 운동역학적 분석)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to find out kinematic and kinetic differences the lower extremity joint according to the landing type during vertical jump movement after jump landing, and to present an efficient landing method to reduce the incidence of injury in youth players. Method: Total of 24 Youth players under Korean Sport and Olympic Committee, who used either heel contact landing (HCG) or toe contact landing (TCG) participated in this study (HCG (12): CG height: 168.7 ± 9.7 cm, weight: 60.9 ± 11.6 kg, age: 14.1 ± 0.9 yrs., career: 4.3 ± 2.9 yrs., TCG height: 174.8 ± 4.9 cm, weight: 66.9 ± 9.9 kg, age 13.9 ± 0.8 yrs., career: 4.7 ± 2.0 yrs.). Participants were asked to perform jump landing consecutively followed by vertical jump. A 3-dimensional motion analysis with 19 infrared cameras and 2 force plates was performed in this study. To find out the significance between two landing styles independent t-test was performed and significance level was set at .05. Results: HCG showed a significantly higher dorsi flexion, extension and flexion angle at ankle, knee and hip joints, respectively compared with those of TCG (p<.05). Also, HCG revealed reduced RoM at ankle joint while it showed increased RoM at knee joint compared to TCG (p<.05). In addition, HGC showed greater peak force, a loading rate, and impulse than those of TCG (p<.05). Finally, greater planta flexion moment was revealed in TCG compared to HCG at ankle joint. For the knee joint HCG showed extension and flexion moment in E1 and E2, respectively, while TCG showed opposite results. Conclusion: Compared to toe contact landing, the heel contact landing is not expected to have an advantage in terms of absorbing and dispersing the impact of contact with the ground to the joint. If these movements continuously used, performance may deteriorate, including injuries, so it is believed that education on safe landing methods is needed for young athletes whose musculoskeletal growth is not fully mature.

Effect of Extenders with TCG and DMSO on the Viability of Rabbit Sperm

  • The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of addition of ethylene glycol, glycerol and sucrose to TCG (Tris, Citric Acid, Glucose, Egg Yolk) and DMSO Frozen. The extender containing Egg yolk concentration (10%, 20%) affects viability and acrosome morphology of rabbit sperm. Sperm viability was then assessed for the freezing extenders TCGD (Tris + Citricacid + Glucose + DMSO), TCGED (Tris + Citricacid + Glucose + Egg yolk + DMSO), TCGGD (Tris + Citricacid + Glucose + Glycerol + DMSO) and TCGSD Tris + Citricacid + Glucose + Sucrose + DMSO) during thawing at 38℃. for 20 seconds, respectively. TCG + 10% egg yolk (viability: 77.0 ± 0.8, NAI: 73.3 ± 0.9) was significantly (sperm viability and normal acrosome interaction (NAI)) higher than TCG + 20% egg yolk (70.7 ± 1.1, 70.0 ± 0.9) in the sperm normalcy analysis according to the yolk concentration. TCGGD (53.4 ± 0.1, 62.3 ± 0.4), TCGSD (61.3 ± 0.0, 67.1 ± 0.1) sperm viability and normal acrosome interaction (NAI) in frozen spermatozoa are TCGD (46.4 ± 2.8 and 56.3 ± 1. 4) and TCGED (23.0 ± 1.1 and 54.6 ± 1.4) extenders was thawed at 38℃ for 20 seconds. According to the results from each frozen bulking agent, sperm membrane integrity by hypotonic swelling test (HOST) analysis in TCGGD (59.8 ± 0.7), TCGSD (59.3 ± 0.5) was significantly high compared to other experimental groups (p < 0.05). In conclusion, these results suggested that TCGGD and TCGSD extenders enhance survivability of rabbit sperm after frozen-thawing.

  • Purpose : This study is to determine effects of cane-shape which influenced on the change of muscle activation, gait component in hemiplegic patients caused by cerebrovascular accident. Methods : Twenty one stroke patients using T-shape cane(TCG) and twenty one stroke patients using I-shape cane(ICG) participated in this study. Surface electromyography(SEMG) of erector spinae, transvers abdominis, tibialis anterior, soleus of both side were measured during walking without cane and walking with cane. Results : The activation of tibialis anterior was significantly increased in affected side of ICG. The activation of tibialis anterior was significantly decreased in affected side of TCG. The activation of soleus was significantly increased in affected side of ICG. The activation of soleus was significantly decreased in affected side of TCG. The activation of erector spinae was significantly increased in nonaffected side of ICG and TCG. The activation of transvers abdominis was significantly increased in nonaffected side of ICG and TCG. Conclusion : From the finding of this study, it was suggested that I-shape cane increase weight bearing of affected side in hemiplegic patient. Therefore, I-shape cane can be applied to improve gait asymmetry of hemiplegic patients.

  • In this paper, To improve the effectiveness of security enforcement, the first contribution in this work is that we present a clustered heterogeneous WSN(Wareless Sensor Network) architecture, composed of not only resource constrained sensor nodes, but also a number of more powerful high-end devices acting as cluster heads. Compared to sensor nodes, a high-end cluster head has higher computation capability, larger storage, longer power supply, and longer radio transmission range, and it thus does not suffer from the resource scarceness problem as much as a sensor node does. A distinct feature of our heterogeneous architecture is that cluster heads are equipped with TC(trusted computing) technology, and in particular a TCG(Trusted Computing Group) compliant TPM (Trusted Platform Module) is embedded into each cluster head. According the TCG specifications, TPM is a tamper-resistant, self-contained secure coprocessor, capable of performing cryptographic functions. A TPM attached to a host establishes a trusted computing platform that provides sealed storage, and measures and reports the integrity state of the platform.

  • 인터넷을 제공하는 컴퓨팅 환경에서는 점점 더 다양한 해킹 공격이 늘어가고 있으며 이를 방지하기 위한 운영체제나 소프트웨어의 끊임없는 보안 패치는 필수요소로 여겨지고 있다. 이에 따라 이러한 문제를 근본적으로 해결하려는 시도가 생겨나게 되었고, 그 결과 TC 기술이 연구.개발되었다. TC 기술이란 컴퓨터가 당초 의도된 대로 동작 할 수 있도록 신뢰성을 부과하는 기술로서, 하드웨어 기반의 보안칩인 TPM을 모든 컴퓨팅 파워가 있는 기기들에 공통으로 적용하도록 하고, 이를 위한 소프트웨어를 개방형 표준으로 제공하고자 하는 기술이다. 이 기술은 매우 다양한 활용영역을 가지고 널리 사용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다. 본 고에서는 TC 기술 요소들의 특징 및 기술 동향을 살펴보고, 1999년부터 TCG를 중심으로 진행되고 있는 TC 표준 동향과 쟁점사항들, 향후 TC 기술 및 활용 전망에 대해 기술한다.
