Adhesion Enhancement of Thin Film Metals on Polyimide Substrates by Bias Sputtering

  • Al, Ti, Ta, and Cr thin films were deposited on a polyimide substrate using DC magnetron sputter to study the adhesion characteristics of metal films on polyimide substrates, while RF bias of 0 - 400 W was applied to the substrate during DC sputtering. The adhesion strength was evaluated using a 90-degree peel test. The peel tests showed that the adhesion strength was enhanced by applying the RF bias to the substrate in all specimens. Scanning electron microscopy and Auger depth profile of the fractured surfaces indicate that the polyimide underwent cohesive failure during peeling and heavy deformation was also observed in the metal films peeled from the polyimide substrate when the RF bias applied during the deposition. Cross-sectional transmission electron microscopy revealed that the metal/polyimide interface was not clear and complicated. This complicated interface, likely formed due to the RF bias applied to the substrate, was attributed to the adhesion enhancement observed during the bias sputtering.

  • Voice over IP (VoIP) is a technology for the delivery of voice communications and multimedia sessions over Internet Protocol (IP) networks. Instead of being transmitted over a circuit-switched network, however, the digital information is packetized, and transmission occurs in the form of IP packets over a packet-switched network which consist of several layers of computers. VoIP Service that used the various techniques has many advantages such as a voice Service, multimedia and additional service with cheap cost and so on. But the various frauds arises using VoIP because VoIP has the existing vulnerabilities at the Internet and based on complex technologies, which in turn, involve different components, protocols, and interfaces. According to research results, during in 2012, 46 % of fraud calls being made in VoIP. The revenue loss is considerable by fraud call. Among we will analyze for Toll Bypass Fraud by the SIM Box that occurs mainly on the international call, and propose the measures that can detect. Typically, proposed solutions to detect Toll Bypass fraud used DPI(Deep Packet Inspection) based on a variety of detection methods that using the Signature or statistical information, but Fraudster has used a number of countermeasures to avoid it as well. Particularly a Fraudster used countermeasure that encrypt VoIP Call Setup/Termination of SIP Signal or voice and both. This paper proposes the solution that is identifying equipment of Toll Bypass fraud using those countermeasures. Through feature of Voice traffic analysis, to detect involved equipment, and those behavior analysis to identifying SIM Box or Service Sever of VoIP Service Providers.

Formation of Co-N Film using reactive sputtering of Co and growth of epitaxial $CoSi_2$ using the Co-N film (반응성 스퍼터링을 이용한 Co-N 박막 형성 및 이를 이용한 $CoSi_2$ 에피층 성장)

  • 금속-실리콘간 화합물인 실리사이드 중에서, 코발트다이실리사이드(CoSi$_2$)는 비저항이 낮고 선폭이 좁아짐에 따라 면저항이 급격히 증가하는 선폭의존성이 없으며 화학적으로 안정한 재료로 현재 널리 이용되고 있는 재료이다. 또한, 실리콘 (100) 기판과 에피택셜하게 성장한 CoSi$_2$는 우수한 열안정성 과 낮은 juction leakage의 특성을 가지며, shallow junction 형성을 가능하게 하는 많은 장점을 가지고 있어 각광받고 있다. 그러나 순수한 Co의 증착 후속 열처리에 의해 형성된 CoSi$_2$는 (110), (111), (221)등의 다양한 결정방위를 가지게 되어 에피택셜 하게 형성되기 어렵다. 현재까지 Ti, Ta, Zr과 화학 산화막 등의 확산 방지막을 이용하여 에피 택셜하게 성장시키는 많은 방법들이 연구되어 왔으며, 최근에는 본 연구실에서 반응성화학기상증착법으로 Co-C 박막을 증착하여 in-Situ로 에피택셜 CoSi$_2$를 형성하는 새로운 방법을 보고하였다. 본 연구는 반응성 스퍼터링에 의해 증착된 Co-N 박박으로부터 후속 열처리를 통하여 에피택셜 CoSi$_2$를 성장시키는 새로운 방법을 제시하고자 한다. Co-N 박박은 Ar과 $N_2$의 혼합가스 분위기 속에서 Co를 스퍼터링하여 증착하였다. 증착시 혼합가스 내의 $N_2$함량의 변화에 따라 다양한 Co-N 박막이 형성됨을 확인하였다. 후속열처리시 Co-N 박막의 산화를 방지하기 위하여 Ti층을 마그네트론 스퍼터링으로 증착하였으며, Ar 분위기에서 온도에 따른 ex-situ RTA 열처리를 통하여 에피택셜 CoSi$_2$를 성장시킬 수 있었다. 이러한 에피택셜 CoSi$_2$는 특정 한 Ar/$N_2$ 비율 내에서 성장이 가능하였으며, 약 $600^{\circ}C$이상의 열처리 온도에서 관찰되었다.

Characteristics of the Angular-dependent Exchange Coupling Bias in Multilayer [Pt/Co]N-IrMn with Toward-in Plane Applied Fields (박막수직방향에서 면방향으로 회전하는 인가자기장에 대한 다층박막 [Pt/Co]N-IrMn의 교환바이어스의 각도의존특성)

  • The angular dependence of the exchange bias($H_{ex}$) and coercivity($H_c$) in multilayer $[Pt/Co]_N-IrMn$ with applied measuring field rotated toward in-plane at angle $\theta$ from perpendicular-to-plane, has been measured. Multilayer films consisting of $Si/SiO_2/Ta(50)/Pt(4)/[Pt(15)/Co(t_{Co})]_N/IrMn(50)/Ta(50)(in\;{\AA})$ were prepared by magnetron sputtering under typical base pressure below $2{\times}10^{-8}$ Torr at room temperature. Magnetization measurements were performed on a vibrating sample magnetometer and extraordinary Hall voltage measurement systems after cooling from 550 K under a field of 2 kOe applied along the perpendicular to film direction. The hysteresis loop shifts from the origin not only along the field axis but also along the magnetization axis. $H_{ex}$ and $H_c$ show a $1/cos{\theta}$ and $1/|cos{\theta}|$ dependence on the angle($\theta$) between the applied measuring field and the perpendicular-film direction, respectively. This $1/cos{\theta}$ dependence can be accounted for by considering the angular dependence of strong out-of-plane magnetic anisotropy introduced during the field cooling.

The relationship between Gly71Arg and TATA box polymorphism of GT1A1 gene and prolonged hyperbilirubinemia of breast milk feeding infant in Korean (지속성 고빌리루빈혈증과 연관된 모유 황달에서 UGT1A1(Gly71Arg, TATA box) 다형성에 대한 연구)

  • Purpose : It has been known that breast milk cause prolonged unconjugated hyperbilirubinemia. UGT1A1 is a important gene of uridine diphosphate glucuronosyltransferase (UGT) which has a major role of bilirubin metabolism. These findings suggest that there is a relationship between UGT1A1 gene mutation and prolonged jaundice of breast feeding infant. The aim of study was to investigate whether a polymorphism of the UGT1A1 gene exist in prolonged hyperbilirubinemia of breast milk feeding Korean infant. Methods : The genomic DNA was isolated from 50 full term Korean neonates, who had greater than a 10 mg/dL of serem bilirubin after 2 weeks of birth with no significant cause, and the other genomic DNA was isolated from 162 full term Korean neonates of the control population. Both group fed breast milk. We performed direct sequencing of TATA box and Gly71Arg polymorphism of the UGT1A1 gene. Results : Two of the 50 neonates with hyperbilirubinemia had AA polymorphism, and 40 had GA polymorphism. Five of the 129 neonates of the control group had AA polymorphism, and 4 had GA polymorphism. The allele frequency of G>A polymorphism in the hyperbilirubinemia group was 44.0%; it was significantly higher than 5.4% of the control group. TATA box polymorpism was not different both group significantly. Conclusion : Our result indicated that Gly71Arg polymorphism is associated with the prolonged hyperbilirubinemia of breast milk-feeding infant in Korean, while TATA box polymorphism is not associated with the prolonged hyperbilirubinemia of breast milk-feeding infant in Korean.

Evaluation of Adsorbent Sampling Methods for Volatile Organic Compounds in Indoor and Outdoor Air (실내·외 공기 중 휘발성 유기화합물에 대한 흡착 시료채취 방법의 평가)

  • This study was carried out to evaluate the performance of sampling and analytical methodology used for the measurement of toxic volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the ambient air. VOCs were determined by the adsorbent tube sampling and automatic thermal desorption coupled with GC/MSD analysis. Target analytes were 33 compounds including major aromatic compounds such as BTEX, and halogenated compounds. The methodology was investigated with a wide range of different adsorbents which are commercially available and have been frequently adopted for the VOC measurement. A total of 10 adsorbents were tested in this study: 6 carbon-based adsorbents such as Carbotrap, Carbopack B, Carbosieve S-III, Carboxen 1000, Carbotrap C, Activated Charcoal; and 4 polymer-based adsorbents including Tenax, Porapak Q, Chromosorb 102, and Chromosorb 106. The sampling performance was evaluated with respect to the sampling capacity of VOCs with single-adsorbent and multiple-adsorbents methods for standard samples and field samples. As a result, the best adsorbents for single-adsorbent method in the sampling of toxic organic compounds (including benzene, toluene, xylenes etc.) appeared to be Carbotrap, Carbopack B and Tenax TA. On the other hand, Chromosorb 102, Chromosorb 106 and Porapak Q were found to be unsuitable adsorbents for VOC measurement based on thermal desorption method. Multi-adsorbent packings were evaluated with 4 carbon-based adsorbents, which classified by 3 combination sets of double adsorbents and 2 combination sets of triple adsorbents. The results indicated that the most suitable combination for toixc VOC measurements is Carbotrap C with Carbotrap. Multi-sorbents tubes packed with a strong adsorbent such as Carbosieve S-III or Carboxen 1000 were found to be relatively unsuitable for several compounds, not only owing to the effect of migration of adsorbed compounds from weaker adsorbent to stronger adsorbent, but to hydrophobic nature of the adsorbents. Therefore, it should be addressed that selection of a proper adsorbent (or combination of multi sorbents) is extremely important to obtain reliable data for the concentrations of toxic VOCs in indoor and outdoor environments.

Relationship between FSH Receptor Genotype and Clinical Outcomes of IVF-ET in Infertile Korean Women (한국 불임 여성에서 난포자극호르몬 수용체 유전자형과 체외수정 및 배아이식술 임상 결과와의 관련성)

  • Objective: The purposes of this study were to determine the distribution of follicle-stimulating hormone receptor (FSHR) genotypes in infertile Korean women and to evaluate the relationship between FSHR genotypes and clinical outcomes of IVF-ET cycles. Methods: Genomic DNA was extracted from peripheral blood in 1, 020 of infertile Korean women. Genotypes of FSHR at Thr307Ala (T/A) and Asn680Ser (N/S) were screened by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP) analysis. Clinical outcomes related to the genotypes of FSHR were evaluated in IVF-ET cycles (n=302) with controlled ovarian hyperstimulation (COH) of infertile women under 40 years old. Results: In a population of 1, 020 infertile Korean women, the frequency of TT/NN, TA/NS and AA/SS for the major variant Thr307Ala and Asn680Ser was 44.80%, 41.96% and 10.49%, respectively. There was no significant difference in characteristics of ovarian response and clinical pregnancy rate among the major genotypes of FSHR in IVF-ET cycles with COH. However, implantation rate of AA/SS patients was significantly higher than that of TT/NN patients (24.5% vs 15.7%, p<0.05). Conclusion: This study showed that FSHR genotype was not directly associated with ovarian response in IVF-ET cycles with COH. The relationship between clinical outcomes and FSHR genotypes of patients should be substantiated by further studies.

A Study on the Causality of Technology Culture of East Asian Roof Tile Making Technology Since the 17th Century (17세기 이후 동아시아 제와(製瓦)의 기술문화적 인과성)

  • This paper aims to establish the technical style of roof tiles by analyzing East Asian roof tile making techniques. It will examine the existing main research data, such as excavation results and the subsequent analysis of the roof tiles' production traces, as well as references and transmitted techniques. Regions are grouped according to technical similarity, then grouped again by artistic styles of pattern and shape and by the technical styles of tools, procedures, and manpower plans. Accordingly, intends to find out whether an understanding of technical style can facilitate an understanding of not only cultural aspects, but also the causality of techniques. Korean, Chinese and Japanese tools were examined, and procedures for making roof tiles were classified into 4 groups. In a superficial way, China, Okinawa, Korea, and Honshu share similar technical traits. Research of procedural details and manpower plans revealed characteristics of each region. As a result, comparisons were made between each region's technical characteristics attempting to investigate their causes. The groups were classified according to their possessing techniques, but it was revealed that East Asia's shared production techniques were based on architectural methodss. The skill of "Pyeon Jeol(Clay Cutting)" classified according to its possessing techniques, turned out to be one such technique. Also, the procedure of technical localization based on the skill of "Ta-nal(Tapping)" showed that the condition of this technique was the power to localize in response to a transfer of techniques. Previous comparison parameters of artifacts would have been a similarity of style originated from exchanges between regions and stylistic characteristics of regions decided by the demander's taste of beauty. This methodology enlarges cultural perception and affords a positive basis of historical facts. However, it suggests the possibility of finding cultural aspects' origins by understanding the technical style and seeing same result in view of "technology culture."
