  • In this paper, the aim is to solve the neutral delay differential equations in the following form using multiquadric approximation scheme, (1) $$\{_{\;y(t)\;=\;{\phi}(t),\;\;\;\;\;t\;{\leq}\;{t_1},}^{\;y'(t)\;=\;f(t,\;y(t),\;y(t\;-\;{\tau}(t,\;y(t))),\;y'(t\;-\;{\sigma}(t,\;y(t)))),\;{t_1}\;{\leq}\;t\;{\leq}\;{t_f},}$$ where f : $[t_1,\;t_f]\;{\times}\;R\;{\times}\;R\;{\times}\;R\;{\rightarrow}\;R$ is a smooth function, $\tau(t,\;y(t))$ and $\sigma(t,\;y(t))$ are continuous functions on $[t_1,\;t_f]{\times}R$ such that t-$\tau(t,\;y(t))$ < $t_f$ and t - $\sigma(t,\;y(t))$ < $t_f$. Also $\phi(t)$ represents the initial function or the initial data. Hence, we present the advantage of using the multiquadric approximation scheme. In the sequel, presented numerical solutions of some experiments, illustrate the high accuracy and the efficiency of the proposed method even where the data points are scattered.

  • In this paper, we establish some oscillation criteria for nonautonomous second order neutral delay dynamic equations $(x(t){\pm}r(t)x({\tau}(t)))^{{\Delta}{\Delta}}+H(t,\;x(h_1(t)),\;x^{\Delta}(h_2(t)))=0$ on a time scale ${\mathbb{T}}$. Oscillatory behavior of such equations is not studied before. This is a first paper concerning these equations. The results are not only can be applied on neutral differential equations when ${\mathbb{T}}={\mathbb{R}}$, neutral delay difference equations when ${\mathbb{T}}={\mathbb{N}}$ and for neutral delay q-difference equations when ${\mathbb{T}}=q^{\mathbb{N}}$ for q>1, but also improved most previous results. Finally, we give some examples to illustrate our main results. These examples arc [lot discussed before and there is no previous theorems determine the oscillatory behavior of such equations.

  • Immunoblot analysis utilizing bovine sera from naturally or experimentally infected with Theileria sergenti were used to determine the immunodominant polypeptides of T sergenti (Korean isolated. The previously recognized major bands, 18 kDa,29 kDa, 34 kDa and 45 kDa, were excised after electrophoresis and transfer to PnF membrane. The individual bands were sequenced. The 34 kDa polypeptide which was the most antigenic and immunogenic peptide was observed in the Western blot. However, Chou-Fasman prediction sites (antigenic site) for antigen determinants of the 45 kDa, 34 kDa, 29 kDa and 18 kDa polypeptide were 6, 4, 2 and 0, respectively. However, the 45 kDa polypetide showed no reaction with anti- T sergenti hyperimmune serum.

  • The purpose of this paper is to investigate experimentally the strength and deformation of T-joints to improve the structural behavior of truss connection consisted in square hollow steel section. There are two-types to be changed in T-joint shape. One type is TP-series that a brace member is rotated to 45 degree, another type is TR-series that a chord member is rotated to 45 degree. The most important results obtained from the 2nd experiment on the T-joints is as follow; The yielding strength and initial stiffness of TP-series increase more than a current type(TS-series) in $0.6{\leq}{\beta}(d/D){\leq}0.7(0.85{\leq}{\beta}$'$(={\sqrt2}{\cdot}{\beta}){\leq}1.0)$.

  • In order to establish a useful cell culture system for T gondii we compared the degree of proliferation of T gondii tachyzoites among 8 different cell lines: 2 kinds of normal animal cells (MDCK-canine kidney cells; Vero-monkey kidney cells) and 6 kinds of human tumor cells (A 549, PC 14-lung cancer cells; SNU 1, SNU 16. Mlm 45-stomach cancer cells; HL-60-promyelocytic leukemia cells), through morphological observation and 3H-uracil uptake assay. The degree of susceptibility to infection with T gondii tachyzoites was highest in A 549 and PC 14 cells, medium in Vero, HL-60, MDCK and SNU 1, and lowest in SNU 16 and MBm 45 cells. The kinetics of T gondii multiplication during the post-Infection 60 hours were higllly dependent upon the dose of tachyzoites administered and the duration among the 8 tested fur the growth and multiplication of T gondii in vitro.

  • A study on friction welding of carbon steel bar (SM45C) to chrome molybedenum steel bar(SCM4) is examined experimentally through tensile test, hardness test, microstructure test and fatigue test. so, this paper deals with optimizing the welding concitions and analyzing various mechanical properties about friction welds of SM45C to SCM4 steel bars. The results obtained are summarized as follows; 1) For friction welded joints of SM45C to SCM4 steel bars, the total upset(U)increases linearly with an increase of heating time ($t_{1}$) till 6s. 2) The determined optimum welding conditions are heating time ($t_{1}$)2s, upsetting time($t_{2}$), 3s, heating pressure($p_{1}$), 4kgf/$mm^{2}$(39.2MPa), upsetting pressure($p_{2}$, 8kgf/mm$^{2}$(78.4MPa) and rotating speed(N), 2, 000rpm when the total upset(U) is 3.4mm, resulting in a computed relationship between the joint tensile strength .sigma.$_{t}$ (kgf/mm$^{2}$and the total upset U(mm); .sigma.$_{t}$ =$0.21U^{3}$ - $3.38U^{2}$ +17.03U + 66.00 3) As the elongation is increased more and more, the fracture position becomes away from weld interface and the fractures are similar to those of SM45C. Fracture is taken place on SM45C side. 4) The weld interface of two dissimilar materials is mixed strongly, and the heat affected zone is about 2.0mm at SM45C while about 2.7 mm at SCM4 side. Therefore, the welded zone and heat affected zone are very narrow, comparing with those of the joints welded by the other welding methods. 5) The fatigue strengths at N=10$^{6}$ cycles of SM45C, SCM4 and friction welded joints are 23kgf/$mm^{2}$, 33kgf/$mm^{2}$(220.5 MPa), and 22.5kgf/$mm^{2}$(220.5MPa) respectively, and fracture at friction welded joint takes place at the side of SM45C. 6) The hardness of the friction weld interface is 3 times higher than that of base metal. 7) Fatigue strength of friction welded joint is higher than that of base metal. 8) Notch sensitivity factor of friction welded joint is lower than that of base metal.

  • PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to examine differences in erect spinae activities at different height of table during ultrasound therapy in order to propose a optimum work environment. METHODS: Twenty five healthy adult males and females volunteered to participate in this study. EMG signals of both erector spinae(T10, T12, L2, L4) were recorded throught the surface electromyography system at different height of table(45cm, 56.2cm, 67.5cm) during ultrasound therapy work. RESULTS: The higher table heights was, the lower %RVC of the T10, T12, L2, L4 erect spinae at both sides. The left and right T10, T12 and the left L4 showed significant differences. The lower the spinal level was, the higher %RVC of both erect spinae at 45cm, 56.2cm, 67.5cm. The left erect spinae at 56.2cm, right erect spinae at 45cm, 67.5cm showed significant differences. CONCLUSION: The muscle activities of both erect spinae decreased at higher table height and increased lower spinal level. We identified lower table height are risk factor of spine work related musculoskeletal disorders.

  • Let H be a real Hilbert space and S = {T(s) : $0\;{\leq}\;s\;<\;{\infty}$} be a nonexpansive semigroup on H such that $F(S)\;{\neq}\;{\emptyset}$ For a contraction f with coefficient 0 < $\alpha$ < 1, a strongly positive bounded linear operator A with coefficient $\bar{\gamma}$ > 0. Let 0 < $\gamma$ < $\frac{\bar{\gamma}}{\alpha}$. It is proved that the sequences {$x_t$} and {$x_n$} generated by the iterative method $$x_t\;=\;t{\gamma}f(x_t)\;+\;(I\;-\;tA){\frac{1}{{\lambda}_t}}\;{\int_0}^{{\lambda}_t}\;T(s){x_t}ds,$$ and $$x_{n+1}\;=\;{\alpha}_n{\gamma}f(x_n)\;+\;(I\;-\;{\alpha}_nA)\frac{1}{t_n}\;{\int_0}^{t_n}\;T(s){x_n}ds,$$ where {t}, {${\alpha}_n$} $\subset$ (0, 1) and {${\lambda}_t$}, {$t_n$} are positive real divergent sequences, converges strongly to a common fixed point $\tilde{x}\;{\in}\;F(S)$ which solves the variational inequality $\langle({\gamma}f\;-\;A)\tilde{x},\;x\;-\;\tilde{x}{\rangle}\;{\leq}\;0$ for $x\;{\in}\;F(S)$.

  • This paper described the ultimate strength and deformation limit of new uniplanar T-joints in cold-formed square hollow sections. The new T-joint had the configuration that only a branch member was oriented at 45 degrees to a chord member in the plane of the truss. This study focused on the branch-rotated T-joints governed by chord web failure. Based on the test results of the T-joint in cold-formed square hollow sections, the deformation lirnit was found to be 3%B for $16.7{\leq}2(B/T){\leq}33.3$ and $0.63{\leq}(b_1/B)=0.7$. Existing strength formulas for traditional T-joint were investigated, and the new strength formula for the branch-rotated T-joint was proposed. This proposed formula was based on column buckling theory considering the rounded corners of cold-formed square hollow sections. Finally, the optimization condition of yield stress and $2{\gamma}$ was recommended to select the optimized chord section.
