Biomass conversion efficiencies (B.C.E) of six fish species viz, Catla catla, Labeo, rohita, Cirrhina mrigala, Hypophthalmicthys molitrix, Ctenopharyngodon idella and Cyprinus carpio cultured under artificial feed (T1), broiler manure (T2), buffalo manure (T3), N:P:K (25:25:0) (T4) and control pond (T5) have been determined for the period of one year. The overall biomass conversion efficiencies under the influence of T2, T3, and T4 were statistically similar. However, the best (0.40) efficiency was determined under feed supplement-ation (T1).
SBR process used to evaluate the removal of organics, nitrogen and phosphorus on the basis of a report of research on a precedence at various operation cycle and condition change. Effluent concentration of COD were 50mg/l, 50mg/l, 90mg/l respectively, The removal rates of COD were nearly over 95% at Run 1, 2 and 4. But at Run 3, Effluent concentration of COD was 255.0mg/l, The removal rate of COD was 87% at Run 3. As Oxic/Anoxic rate was fixed and operating cycle of Oxic/Anoxic was changed, the removal rates of T-N were 74.7%, 46.9%, 28.5%, 63.3% respectively at Run 1~4. The case of Run 1 was best result. The removal rates of T-P was appeared in proportion to T-N removal rates and rest of $NO_2-N$. The removal rates of T-P were 51.2%, 35.5%, 41.5%, 51.9% respectively. The removal rates of COD, T-N, T-P were influenced on the change of SBR operation cycle. As organic loading rate was $1.43kgCOD/m^3day$ and C/N ratio was 3.0, operation cycle of Run 1 was best condition of T-N removal rates and T-P removal.
Purpose : To evaluate the role of curative radiotherapy and salvage surgery in Patients with T1 T2 glottic canter. Materials and Method : Between June 1989 and December 1994, 23 patients with early glottic cancer, 18 with T1N0M0 and 5 with T2N0M0, were treated with radiotherapy at Gyeongsang National University Hospital All Patients were male. Median follow-up period was 46 months, and $100\%$ were observed for at least 3 years. Results : Actuarial survival rates at 5 years were $84.3\%$ for 23 patients. The 5-year actuarial survival rates were $94.4\%$ for T1 and $53.3\%$ for 72(P=0.05) The 5-rear local control rates was $70.0\%$ for T1 and $60.0\%$ for T2 (P=0.44). Of 8 Patients with treatment failure, 6 patients $(75.0\%)$ were salvaged with surgery. After surgical salvage, the 5-year local control rates were $87.2\%$ for T1 and $80.0\%$ for T2(p=0.55). Conclusion : In early stage (Stage I and II) glottic cancer, curative radiotherapy can be a treatment of choice and surgery reserved for salvage of radiotherapy failure.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the prognostic value of the lymph node ratio (LNR), which was defined as the proportion of involved nodes of all dissected nodes, in pN1 breast cancer. Materials and Methods: We retrospectively analyzed the clinical data of patients with pN1 breast cancer (n = 144) treated at Keimyung University Dongsan Medical Center, Daegu, Korea between 2001 and 2010. The median age was 46 years (range, 27 to 66 years). The LNR was 0.01-0.15 (low LNR) in 130 patients and >0.15 (high LNR) in 14 patients. Sixty-five patients (45.1%) had T1 tumors, 74 (51.4%) had T2 tumors, and 5 (3.5%) had T3 tumors. Eighty-eight patients (61.1%) underwent total mastectomy and 56 (38.9%) underwent partial mastectomy. Fifty-nine patients (41.0%) underwent radiotherapy and 12 (8.3%) underwent regional radiotherapy. The median follow-up period was 65 months. Results: The 5- and 10-year disease-free survival (DFS) rates were 92.7% and 82.4%, respectively. Univariate analyses revealed that high LNR (p = 0.004), total mastectomy (p = 0.006), no local radiotherapy (p = 0.036), and stage T2 or T3 (p = 0.010) were associated with worse DFS. In multivariable analysis, only high LNR (p = 0.015) was associated with worse DFS. Conclusion: High LNR is an independent prognostic factor in pN1 breast cancer and could be an indication for adjuvant radiotherapy in these patients.
A sewage was treated using a horizontal flow zeolite-filled reed bed. The sewage from the student dormitory of Changwon National University was fed into the reed bed for 10 minutes every 6 hours at the hydraulic load of $314L/m^2$ day. The filtering height of the reed bed was 100 cm and the zeolite mixture was filled in the reed bed. The mixture consisted of the same volume of two types of zeolite : $0.5{\sim}1mm$ and $1{\sim}3mm$ in diameter. Annual average removal efficiency was SS $88.5%,\;COD_{cr},\;86.1%,\;COD_{Mn}\;81.0%,\;T-N\;48.6%,\;NH_4^+-N\;97.1%$ and T-P 42.8%. T-N of effluent was mostly $NO_3^--N$ and the concentration of $NO_2^--N$ in effluent was lower than 0.1 mg/L. All removal efficiencies did not show a remarkable seasonal change.

Purpose: The utility of N classification has been questioned after the 7th edition of the American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC)/Union for International Cancer Control (UICC) was published. We evaluated the correlation between ratio-based N (rN) classification with the overall survival of pathological T4 gastric cancer patients who underwent D2 lymphadenectomy. Materials and Methods: We reviewed 222 cases of advanced gastric cancer patients who underwent curative gastrectomy between January 2006 and December 2015. The T4 gastric cancer patents were classified into four groups according to the lymph node ratio (the number of metastatic lymph nodes divided by the retrieved lymph nodes): rN0, 0%; rN1, ${\leq}13.3%$; rN2, ${\leq}40.0%$; and rN3, >40.0%. Results: The rN stage showed a large down stage migration compared with pathological T4N3 (AJCC/UICC). There was a significant difference in overall survival between rN2 and rN3 groups in patients with pT4N3 (P=0.013). In contrast, the difference in metastatic lymph nodes was not significant in these patients (${\geq}16$ vs. <15; P=0.177). In addition, the rN staging system showed a more distinct difference in overall survival than the pN staging system for pathological T4 gastric cancer patients. Conclusions: Our results confirm that rN staging could be a good alternative for pathological T4 gastric cancer patients who undergo D2 lymphadenectomy. However, before applying this system to gastric cancer patients who undergo D2 lymphadenectomy, a larger sample size is required to further evaluate the usefulness of the rN staging system for all stages, including less advanced stages.
Rice bran commonly available in Bangladesh is a mixture of rice hulls (60%), bran (35%) and polishing (5%), referred here as rice mill feed (RMF). Dose response effect of RMF supplementation to a straw diet including a zero level was measured on the intake, digestibility, nitrogen balance, microbial N yield and growth rate of growing native (Bos indicus) bulls. Twelve bulls of 33 months old and $272{\pm}31.5kg$ weight were randomly allocated to diets having 0 (T1), 1 (T2) and 2 (T3) kg RMF in addition to 200 g wheat bran, 200 g molasses, 60 g salt and 30 g oyestershe\l powder. Concentrate intake was 5.5, 19.2 and 29.5% of the dietary intake for the T1, T2 and T3 treatment respectively. RMF supplementation had no significant effect on the straw DM intake. However, with the increasing levels of RMF supplementation, total DM & digestible OM intake and the whole gut digestibilities of DM, OM, N & ADF increased but in deminishig return. Total microbial N yield estimated from the urinary purine excretion were 15.35, 26.56 and 38.44 g/d for the treatment T1, T2 and T3 respectively. Both the N intake and the N balance increased linearly in response to increasing level of RMF. Supplementation of RMF linearly increased the energy intake and dietary energy concentration. Growth rate in the T1, T2 and T3 treatments were 112, 125 and 250 g/d respctively. The basal N excretion and the maintenance energy requirement of the experimental animals were estimated to be 615 mg/kg $W^{0.75}/d$ and 447 kJ/kg $W^{0.75}/d$ respectively. The estimated efficiency on N utilization was 0.83 mg/mg of N intake ($r^2=0.997$) while the efficiency of metabolizable energy utilization for growth was 0.15. Since animal refused higher levels of RMF, inclusion up to 2 kg level (about 25% of the total DM intake) appears to have no depressing effect on the performances of animal. However, RMF itself fail to meet the critical nutrient need of the rumen microbes. Therefore response of supplementing RMF after correcting the critical nutrient deficiency need to be studied.
This study was performed to determine the possibility of sludge treatment by ozone for reducing the sludge production in sewage treatment. To evaluate the characteristics of the release of organic matters and nutrient from sludge degradation by ozone, SCOD, SBOD/TCOD, T-N and T-P were analyzed. From the results, we concluded that the concentration of soluble organic matters(SCOD) was increased with reaction time. Also, The concentration of T-N and T-P were increased with time like as organic matters. Quantities of released SCOD, SBOD, T-N and T-P by ozonization were 0.038g, 0.058 g, 0.011 g, 0.012 g per g MLSS, respectively.
Let H be a real Hilbert space. Let T : $H\;{\rightarrow}\;H$ be an averaged mapping with $F(T)\;{\neq}\;{\emptyset}$. Let {$\alpha_n$} be a real numbers in (0, 1). For given $x_0\;{\in}\;H$, let the sequence {$x_n$} be generated iteratively by $x_{n+1}\;=\;(1\;-\;{\alpha}_n)Tx_n$, $n\;{\geq}\;0$. Assume that the following control conditions hold: (i) $lim_{n{\rightarrow}{\infty}}\;{\alpha}_n\;=\;0$; (ii) $\sum^{\infty}_{n=0}\;{\alpha}_n\;=\;{\infty}$. Then {$x_n$} converges strongly to a fixed point of T.
