PURPOSE. The aims of this pilot study were to introduce implant loading devices designed for animal study and to evaluate the validity of the load transmission ability of the loading devices. MATERIALS AND METHODS. Implant loading devices were specially designed and fabricated with two implant abutments and cast metal bars, and orthodontic expansion screw. In six Beagles, all premolars were extracted and two implants were placed in each side of the mandibles. The loading device was inserted two weeks after the implant placement. According to the loading protocol, the load was applied to the implants with different time and method, simulating early, progressive, and delayed loading. The implants were clinically evaluated and the loading devices were removed and replaced to the master cast, followed by stress-strain analysis. Descriptive statistics of remained strain (${\mu}{\varepsilon}$) was evaluated after repeating three cycles of the loading device activation. Statistic analysis was performed using nonparametric, independent t-test with 5% significance level and Friedman's test was also used for verification. RESULTS. The loading devices were in good action. However, four implants in three Beagles showed loss of osseointegration. In stress-strain analysis, loading devices showed similar amount of increase in the remained strain after applying 1-unit load for three times. CONCLUSION. Specialized design of the implant loading device was introduced. The loading device applied similar amount of loads near the implant after each 1-unit loading. However, the direction of the loads was not parallel to the long axis of the implants as predicted before the study.
Purposes: This study was performed to understand the recognition about accreditation motives, support within the hospital and accreditation survey process for the hospitals that participated in the accreditation program and to find out whether these factors are related to hospital management performances, so that the study can suggest plans for activation and development of the accreditation program. Methodology: This study was performed targeting 98 hospitals answered th the survey among 189 acute care hospitals that acquired accreditation from December 2010 to February 2014. For data analysis, frequency analysis, ${\chi}^2$-test, reliability analysis, ANOVA, Kruskal-Wallis H test and multiple regression analysis with SPSS 21.0 were used. Findings: The hospitals that had staff in charge of patient safety had bigger hospital culture change than those that didn't have(p<.05). In addition, the hospital culture change was bigger as internal motives were bigger, and as CEO's will was bigger(p<.05). Meanwhile, as maintenance rate of internal management after accreditation was higher, and as CEO's will was bigger, process improvement level was higher(p<.05). The quality improvement and patient satisfaction level were higher as CEO's will was bigger, and as suitability of survey process was recognized to be high(p<.05). As a result of analyzing the factors that affect hospital management performances with hospital culture change, process improvement and quality improvement combined, as internal management maintenance rate was higher, as CEO's will was bigger, and as suitability of survey process was higher, performances were higher(p<.05). Practical Implications: Hospitals need to reinforce internal motives to improve internal competences such as the whole system maintenance opportunity and staff training. In addition, the will of hospital director is most important, and if there is hospital director's interest in quality improvement and improvement intention definitely, employees voluntarily participate in and cooperate with the accreditation program, so that prompt medical service provision and high quality of medical services can be guaranteed, leading to hospitals' management performances.

The purpose of this study is to classify the environmental awareness attitudes of university students and analyze their differences in social support pursuit, and apparel consumption behavior. Questionnaires were administered to 236 college students living in Daegu City and Kyoungbuk province. Frequency, factor analysis, reliability analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, Duncan-test, and t-test were used for data analysis. The findings were as follows. The environmental awareness attitudes had factors as recognizing the importance of environmental issues, purchase of eco-friendly products, public opinion legislation awareness, interests on eco-friendly product, and eco-friendly practice. Social support pursuit were found as marginal people support pursuit, emotional support pursuit, informational support pursuit, and problem-solving support pursuit. Apparel consumption behavior were found as planned purchase, social participation attitude, clothes recycling, life practice, low-price orientation, emphasis on designs, clothing-life practice, and consciousness over others. The environmental awareness attitudes of university students were classified into four groups of Consumers of Environment-Awareness, Consumers of Environment-interests, Consumers of Environment-practice, and Consumers of Low Environment-awareness. The groups showed significant difference in social support pursuit, and apparel consumption behavior. Gender of university students showed significant differences the environmental awareness attitudes, social support pursuit, and apparel consumption behavior. It is meaningful to find out the significant relationship in a social context between environment recognition and social support pursuit related by friends. This study also offered a basic information related to social support pursuit by the types of university students' environmental awareness attitude and consumption on clothing, which is necessary for environmental education and green consuming behavior.

The construction industry is huge-there are lots of project organizations and many different people who work on them. Conflict will occur in any long - term relationship and it happens in personal, professional, family, and social relationships. Disputes between parties to construction projects are of great concern to the industry. The study of construction industry disputes, and the causes of those disputes, is essential. The purpose of this study is to identify the root causes of conflicts in construction industry. A questionnaire field survey was conducted to investigate the root causes of construction conflicts. The professionals working for owner, contractor and consultants were targeted for the collection of data. Descriptive analysis such as mean score and standard deviation as well as factor analysis was employed to find underlying factors related to conflicts in construction field. Student's t-test and ANOVA test tools were used to compare the perceptions of various categories of population and project. Factor analysis was used to group the numbers of conflict causes. This study reveals four root causes of construction conflict. They are: (i) weak project leadership (ii) weak contractor selection (iii) weak project management, and (iv) project participants' attitude.

Objectives: This study was conducted to examine the effect of the utilization of the educational planning model (ADDIE) and self-leadership of occupational health managers (OHM) on work performance. Methods: The sample of this study was 180 OHM with over six months of experience, who attended continuing education by the Korean Academic Society of Occupational Health Nursing. Data were collected from April to June 2019 and analyzed using frequency analysis, t-test, F-test, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis through SPSS Program Ver. 23. Results: According to the results of multiple regression analysis of the factors influencing the work performance of OHM, the model was significant and the explanatory power was 40%. Self-leadership (${\beta}=.45$, p=.001), utilization of the educational planning model (${\beta}=.20$, p<.005), and position (${\beta}=.16$, p=.024) were significant influence factors on work performance. Conclusions: To improve the work performance of OHM, a customized program needs to be developed that promotes the utilization ability of the educational planning model and a strategy of benchmarking high performers in the light of their positions. The improvement of the work performance of OHM will eventually make a contribution to the reduction of industrial disaster and occupational diseases.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to identify the individual, job, and organizational factors affecting the individual innovative behaviors among tertiary care hospitals' nurses. Methods: The participants in this study were 230 nurses who have worked more than one year in tertiary care hospitals. Data were collected using self-administered questionnaires that included individual factors (self efficacy, and empowerment), job factors (knowledge and skills for evidence-based practice, and beliefs for evidence-based practice), organizational factors (perceived organizational support), and individual innovation behavior. The SPSS/WIN 25.0 program was used for data analysis which included descriptive analysis, t-test, ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and hierarchical regression analysis. Results: Individual innovative behavior had significant positive correlations with all of individual, job, and organizational factors. The results of hierarchical regression analysis showed that knowledge and skills for evidence-based practice (β=.28, p<.001), self efficacy (β=.25, p=.002), gender (female, β=.23, p<.001), and beliefs for evidence-based practice (β=.17, p=.016) were significant factors influencing on individual innovative behavior. Conclusion: These findings suggest that knowledge, skills and beliefs for evidence-based practice, and self efficacy were linked to individual innovative behaviors. Therefore, education and human resource management improving self efficacy, knowledge, skills and beliefs for evidence-based practice are needed to increase nurses' individual innovative behaviors in tertiary care hospitals.

Purpose : The purpose of this meta-analysis was to examine the effects of microcurrent on inflammatory musculoskeletal diseases. Methods : Domestic databases (RISS, NDSL, KISS, DBpia, and Kmbase) were searched for studies that conducted clinical trials associated with microcurrent and its impact on inflammatory musculoskeletal diseases. A total of 606 studies published between 2002 and 2019 were identified, with 8 studies satisfying the inclusion data. The studies were classified according to patient, intervention, comparison, and outcome (PICO). The search outcomes were items associated with blood component, pain, and function. The 8 studies that were included in the study were evaluated using R meta-analysis (version 4.0). The quality of 7 randomized control trials was evaluated using Cochrane risk of bias (ROB). The quality of 1 non-randomized control trial was evaluated using risk of bias assessment tool for non-randomized studies (RoBANS). Effect sizes were computed as the corrected standard mean difference (SMD). A random-effect model was used to analyze the effect size because of the high heterogeneity among the studies. Egger's regression test was carried out to analyze the publishing bias. Results : The following factors had a large effect size involving microcurrent on inflammatory musculoskeletal diseases: blood component (Hedges's g=-2.46, 95 % CI=-4.20~-0.73), pain (Hedges's g=3.51, 95 % CI=2.44~4.77), and function (Hedges's g=3.06, 95 % CI: 1.53~4.58). Except for function (t=1.572, p=.191), Egger's regression test showed that the publishing bias had statistically significant differences. Conclusion : This study provides evidence for the effectiveness of microcurrent on inflammatory musculoskeletal diseases in terms of blood component, pain, and function. However, due to the small sample sizes used in the included studies, the results of our study should be interpreted cautiously, especially considering the publishing bias.

Purpose: This study aimed to evaluate the structural complexity of craniofacial trabecular bone in multiple myeloma by fractal analysis of panoramic and lateral skull radiography, and to compare the fractal dimension values of healthy patients (HPs), pre-treatment patients (PTPs), and patients during bisphosphonate treatment (DTPs). Materials and Methods: Pairs of digital panoramic and lateral skull radiographs of 84 PTPs and 72 DTPs were selected. After application of exclusion criteria, 43 panoramic and 84 lateral skull radiographs of PTPs, 56 panoramic and 72 lateral skull radiographs of DTPs, and 99 panoramic radiographs of age- and sex-matched HPs were selected. The fractal dimension values from panoramic radiographs were compared among HPs, PTPs, and DTPs and between anatomical locations within patient groups using analysis of variance with the Tukey test. Fractal dimension values from lateral skull radiographs were compared between PTPs and DTPs using the Student t-test. Pearson correlation coefficients were used to assess the relationship between the mandible from panoramic radiographs and the skull from lateral skull radiographs. Intra-examiner agreement was assessed using intraclass correlation coefficients (α=0.05). Results: The fractal dimension values were not significantly different among HPs, PTPs, and DTPs on panoramic radiographs or between PTPs and DTPs on lateral skull radiographs (P>0.05). The mandibular body presented the highest fractal dimension values (P≤0.05). The fractal dimension values of the mandible and skull in PTPs and DTPs were not correlated. Conclusion: Fractal analysis was not sensitive for distinguishing craniofacial trabecular bone complexity in multiple myeloma patients using panoramic and lateral skull radiography.
Purpose: This study investigated the dietary behavior of experienced shiftwork nurses and aimed to identify factors related to dietary behavior. Methods: This study was a secondary analysis based on the Shift Work Nurses' Health and Turnover study (2018-2021) among Korean nurses. In total, 247 experienced (>12 months) shiftwork nurses were included in this study. The participants' dietary behavior, depression, level of occupational stress, fatigue, physical activity, and general characteristics were measured. Descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation coefficients, independent t-test, one-way analysis of variance, the Kruskal-Wallis test, and multiple regression analysis were conducted. Results: The dietary behavior score of the participants using the Mini-Dietary Assessment Index was 29.35±5.67. Thirty percent of the participants were depressed, the participants experienced moderate occupational stress, and 74.1% of the participants engaged in an inadequate amount of physical activity. The factors influencing shiftwork nurses' dietary behavior were having child(ren) (β=.16, p=.027), depression (β=-.13, p=.032), level of occupational stress related to occupational climate (β=-.13, p=.035), and an inadequate amount of physical activity (β=-.17, p=.006). These factors explained 10.4% of the variance in experienced shiftwork nurses' dietary behavior scores. Conclusion: Experienced nurses with child(ren) tended to have healthier diets. However, a higher level of occupational stress related to occupational climate, depression, and engaging in an inadequate amount of physical activity were associated with a higher risk of having an unhealthy diet. Therefore, strategies are needed to encourage physical activity and alleviate adverse occupational climate and depression among experienced nurses.

Objectives: To perform correlation analysis between the Core Seven Emotions Inventory-Short Form (CSEI-s), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI), Beck Depression Inventory (BDI), upper gastrointestinal symptoms, and gastroscopic findings and to compare emotional characteristics with upper gastrointestinal endoscopic findings. Methods: In this study, medical records of 38 participants who visited the hospital for examination purposes or complained upper gastrointestinal symptoms and completed the CSEI-s, BAI, BDI, and Questionnaire for upper gastrointestinal symptoms were analyzed using SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) version 25.0. Frequency Analysis, Descriptive Analysis, Independent t-test, Mann-Whitney's U-test, and Correlation analysis were performed. Results: The upper gastrointestinal symptom group showed higher levels of anger, sorrow, depression, and anxiety than the asymptomatic group. On gastroscopy, the normal group had higher levels of Joy than the abnormal group. The reflux esophagitis group showed higher levels of thought, depression, sorrow, and anxiety than the non-reflux esophagitis group. Joy showed a negative correlation with BDI score. However, anger, depression, sorrow, BAI, and BDI score showed positive correlations. Conclusions: Results of this study suggest that CSEI-s can be used to treat patients with upper gastrointestinal symptoms and reflux esophagitis.
