The Relationship between Clothing Involvement and Fashion Leadership of Fashion Models and College Women (패션모델과 여대생들의 의복관여와 유행선도력과의 관계)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between clothing involvement and fashion leadership of fashion models and college women. For this study, 113 fashion models and 265 female college students were analyzed. Factor analysis, Correlation, t-test and Regression analysis were used in data analyses. Clothing involvement was factor analyzed resulting five factors such as interest, pleasure, fashionability, risk perception and symbolism. Three clothing involvement factors had highly positive relations with total clothing involvement. Interest, pleasure and fashionability factors were related with each other: Fashionability and interest factors had an effect on fashion opinion-leadership and fashion innovation. Significant differences were found between fashion models and female college students in regard to clothing involvement and fashion leadership. Fashion models and female college students differed significantly in clothing interest and fashionability. Fashion models and female college students differed significantly in fashion opinion-leadership and fashion innovation. Fashion models were more fashion opinion leaders and fashion innovators than female college students.

  • The fatigue strength of welded aluminum alloy component has been evaluated. Extruded aluminum alloy component Al 6005-T6 was considered. That component could be one of appropriate candidates for floor structure in railway cars. Finite element analysis has been performed to obtain stress distribution in the welded aluminum component. The results of finite element analysis have been applied in designing the experimental setup for fatigue strength evaluation of welded component. Three point bending fatigue test has been employed, until fracture occurs, to evaluate the fatigue strength of the welded component. In addition, the fatigue strength of the component has been compared with that of specimen.

The Validity Analysis between Measurement Method of Subglottic Air Pressure (성문하압 측정방법의 타당도 분석)

  • The purpose of the study was to examine a method most pertinent to measure subglottic air pressure. Subglottic air pressure and loudness analyses were performed on vowels /a/, /i/ and consonant /p/ in 12 normal subjects using. Aerophone II voice function. The experimental contexts were, therefore, /i:pi:pi:/ and /a:pa:pa:/. The subjects produced the intervocalic /p/ in 4 different situations: 1) /i:pi:pi:/ with voiceless /p/, 2) /i:pi:pi:/ with voiced /p/, 3) /a:pa:pa:/ with voiceless /p/, and 4) /a:pa:pa:/ with voiced /p/. A t-test and a correlation analysis revealed the following results. First, when we measured subglottic air pressure by /i:pi:pi:/, voiceless /p/ was significantly different from voiced /p/. Second, when we measured subglottic air pressure by /a:pa:pa:/, voiceless /p/ was significantly different from voiced /p/. Therefore, it was concluded that voiceless /p/ produced more accurate subglottic air pressure and clinicians needed to have patients produce accurate /p/ when measuring subglottic air pressure using Aerophone II.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine two different types of meal experiences as the experimental factors and empirically incorporates a context specific approach into the measurement of bakery attractiveness. The study used frequency analysis to examine the demography of respondents, t-test to compare the importance rating of each attribute for its contribution to the selection of a bakery in terms of each type of meal, and anova analysis to compare the satisfaction rating of each attribute for its contribution to the selection of a bakery in the context of regular meal and a eating between meal The study indicated the implications of these findings concerning marketing and development initiatives to improve the physical and perceptual attractiveness of the bakerys.

  • The objectives of this study were to investigate the preference of characters for children's underwear and to find out the sensibility factors of preferred characters. It was also examined what sensibility factors of the characters were important for children's underwear as well as how characters were recognized as a factor in purchase of children's underwear. The research sample consisted of 300 Korean mothers who have children ranging from first to six grade in elementary school. Data were analyzed by Frequency analysis, ANOVA, and t-test. The results are as follows: According to the sensibility analysis, character image was classified into 3 factors, Pleasure, Riches, and Childish; Among three sensibility factors, Pleasure was the most important factor to affect the preferred character; National characters were more preferred than licensed characters.

  • Qualitative research is a method widely used in marketing research. However, the method has seldom been used in fashion marketing research in Korea. The purpose of this study was to prove that using both qualitative and quantitative research methods in main stage is much useful than using qualitative research method only in exploratory stage. Qualitative data were gathered by conducting Focus Group Interview(FGI) with 48 college students. Quantitative data were gathered by surveying college students, and 487 questionnaires were used in the statistical analysis. The data were analyzed using content analysis, mean, standard deviation, and t-test. As a result, FGI, one of the tools used in qualitative research methods, was proved to be useful in revealing consumers´deep emotional needs as well as purchase motives. FGI also revealed information which quantitative research method tools such as survey could have missed. Therefore, it is best to use multiple methods-simultaneous use of quantitative and qualitative methods-to understand fast changing consumers´needs and purchase motives.

How Apparel Companies Use Social Media: The Case of Facebook

  • This study focused on how the U.S. apparel companies use social media as a new marking channel. On Facebook Wall the contents of messages in English initiated by companies and consumers were investigated and categorized by using content analysis. Chi-square analysis and t-test were utilized to compare the use of social media by companies with higher and lower business performance. The majority of messages initiated by apparel companies gave their consumers useful information about new products, promotions, and recruiting. On the other hand, messages initiated by consumers contained a variety of content related to companies, users, and products. Apparel companies with lower business performance were more actively engaged in posting messages and responding to consumers. The results will be helpful in employing social media to build new marketing strategies through direct communications with consumers.

  • Recently, relative importance of the discount store is growing more and, as a life style of consumers changes, and foreign discount store is prosperous. This purpose of the research have a thorough grasp of the physical environment and the influencing variables. This paper was based on data which were collected from a self-administered structured questionnaire and statistical analysis were used. The contents of the research is following ; (1) Consumer's recognition difference verification of each discount store according to the T-test. (2) The Relation analysis between perceptional physical environment and service satisfaction. (3) This paper will suggest effective marketing methods according to the factor of satisfaction

  • This study sought to prove the validity of Hansik Yangnyomjang classification Korean culinary education. survey was conducted among Korean Cuisine professionals, culinary instructors, culinary professionals and potential students from various backgrounds. ata were collected by self-administered questionnaires and analyzed by reliability analysis, frequency analysis and t-test. any differences in terms of the validity of Hansik Yangnyomjang classification between groups based on their majors, teaching experiences, and knowledge of sauce classification. First, the result showed that fermented Jang is core element Korean cuisine. Second, Hansik Yangnyomjang classification needs to be organized around Balhyojang. Third, Hansik Yangnyomjang classification for beginners and foreigners who want to learn Korean Cuisine relatively easily. Finally, the term 'sauce' is not suitable for replacing Yangnyomjang.

An Analysis on Health Expenditures of the Elderly -Focused on the Elderly in Chungbuk- (노인의 의료비 지출분석 -충북 거주 노인을 중심으로-)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the health expenditures of the elderly by examinning 1) the level of the health expenditures by socio-demographic characteristics, and 2) the factors influencing the health expenditures of the elderly. The data were collected by individual interview, consisting of a sample of 258 elders living in Chungbuk province. Of them, 244 elders were used for the analysis. The data were analyzed by frequency, percentage, mean, t-test, Anova, Tobit anlysis using SAS program. The results were as follows: there were significant differences in the health expenditures of the elderly by income, age, level of education, residential area, level of health condition, type of marriage, illness. The factors influencing the health expenditures of the elderly were income, residential area, and illness.
