  • We have derived the general transfer equation for governing the continuity, energy transfer, mass and momentum transfer, and turbulent energy dissipation rate within the fire compartment which has the 800t fire source at the center of the floor. The governing transfer equations have been descretized using the finite volume approach and numerically experimented under the SIMPLE algorithm. In order for the SIMPLE algorithm approach to be physically reliable, the test results are compared with those of Morita's SOR Method using Conjugate Residual Method and found to be close to physical values though the computational convergence time still remains to be upgraded. The treatment of source terms in the system of finite difference equations has been critical in order to converge the governing equations within the appropriate time steps. The criteria of convergence allowance for the whole domain have been checked and the sudden change of the non-linear effects from the source term have been avoided. The criteria has been allowed to be for 5$\times$10$^{-5}$ .

  • This study examined the influence of resource management on the quality of life. For this objective, we used the questionnaire. The data used in this study included 372 urban households and 423 rural households which are different from their resource environment. Statistical analysis were conducted using t-test, Pearson’s correlation and Factor analysis. The major findings were (1) the level of living, the standard of living and extent of successful resource management were higher in the urban households than the rural households. (2) The urban and rural households could reduce the gap between the level of living and the standard of living in food and nutrition area through the effective resource management. And only the rural households could reduce the gap between the level of living and the standard of living in leisure.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the factors which influence on the propensity for pro-environmental consumer behavior. the data used in this study included 712 married women living in Seoul and Kwangju. Statistics used for data analysis were Reliability, t-test, one-way Anova, and Multiple Regression Analysis. According to the results of the regression, the relative importance of variables are in order of; pro-environmental behavior degree of reference group, residential district, ecological value orientation, economic value orientation, convenience-centric value orientation, type of dwelling, the adequacy of community resource, education experience of environment and their explanatory power totalled 30.35%. The result of this study coude be attributed to develop the environmental policy and education program to enhance of pro-environmental behavior. First, Economic approach and ecological approach toward the environmental affairs are not incompatible; indeed, they are may be related. I resume that both of two alternatives are useful to environment policy. And, environmental education be effectively related to pro-environment behavior, life-education and sysmatic support must be provided.

  • This study is based on the investigation to find a more practical way of the life etiquette education for today's family style, and also focused on the comparison of the life style between the older generation and the younger generation. The questionaire of this study were obtained by 494 high school students and their mothers living in Seoul. Collected data were processed by frequency analysis, t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's corrlation analysis adapted by SPSS program. The conclusion shows that acceptance level is higher among the older generation, but the necessity of life etiquette education beyond the generation is needed urgently. Then life etiquette education must be kept continuously at home, school and society.

  • Purpose: The purposes of this study were to provide baseline data for nursing service program and to elevate the quality of service by examining whether nurses' nursing service is related to job stress, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, leadership and nursing service satisfaction in hospitals. Method: Subjects were 135 nurses and 135 patients, working and being in the hospitals in C province & D city from November. 7 to 21, 2005 and completed a structured questionnaire. The data was analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, ANCOVA, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. Results: The most powerful predictor of nursing service was leadership(60.7%). Altogether leadership, nursing service satisfaction, organizational commitment, and work stress explained 72.5% of nursing service of the nurses in hospitals. Conclusion: The results showed the nurses' nursing service in hospitals was influenced by leadership, nursing service satisfaction, organizational commitment, and job stress. It suggested that concepts of leadership, nursing service satisfaction, organizational commitment, and job stress should be considered in developing nursing services programs.

  • The Purpose of this study is to prove empirically the relationship between ventures' technology valuation and performance, while considering the uniqueness of Korean firms. We use technology valuation index, marketability valuation index, business valuation index as ex-ante independent variables, use firm's performance(sales, asset, operating income ratio, net income ratio etc) as ex-post dependent variables. Parametric analysis such as Paired T-test, ANOVA are applied in this paper. The results of Empirical analysis is summarized as follows. Firstly, operating income ratio and net income ratio are different in portfolios classified by technology valuation index. Secondly, the growth rate of operating income is different in portfolios classified by technology valuation index. Finally, this study has shown that technology valuation index has possibility which it use the predictive variables of ventures' performances.

  • Purpose. The purpose of this study was conducted to identify the elders' general quality of life and oral health-related quality of life. Method. Questionnaire survey was conducted on 241 elders' living in Pohang area from August to September 2014. The results were obtained from t-test, one-way ANOVA analysis, pearson correlation coefficients and multiple regression analysis. Results. Oral health status had significant correlations with gender, age, education, income, drink and hypertension. Oral health-related quality of life showed the highest relationships with age; oral health status and general quality of life showed the highest relationships with monthly income; and, age and education period also showed influence on general quality of life. Conclusions. Therefore, it is required to strengthen oral health improvement program and oral health education for improvement of elders' quality of life.

  • Consumer Innovativeness is the level of acceptance tendency of new thinking, new product, and service without any communication with other people or experience. Product Innovativeness can be defined with the terms, newness, discontinuous, and radicalness of a product. The purpose of this research is finding if there are relationship between consumer innovativeness, consumers' product innovativeness evaluation, and attitude toward a product. The subjects were 338 male and female consumers aged from 18 to years old. The data were analyzed by regression analysis, t-test, Pearson correlation analysis, ANOVA. In conclusion, consumer's fashion innovativenes had important effects on smart clothing innovativeness evaluation, but consumer's technology innovativeness had no effect on it.

  • This research describes about designing and manufacturing X-wing type flapping micro aerial vehicle which intends to improve the performance of one-pair wing flapping vehicle with innovated design. This design, X-wing as we call, was introduced for some time ago from many laboratories but still there hasn’t any reports dealing on its theoretical or numerical analysis. By manufacturing the X-wing with our own design and succeeding its flight test will give us the general idea on X-wing which may guide us to conduct the numerical and experimental analysis later on. We focused to design the X-wing and introduce some conceptual theories about its characteristics on this report.

  • In this study, we investigated the relationship between welfare standards in sheep farms and farmers' perceptions of factors affecting animal welfare. We developed a scale of 34 items to measure farmers' perceptions of animal welfare. We examined the relationships among variables in farmers' characteristics, our observations, and farmers' expressed perceptions through a t test, variance analysis and correlation analysis. Results of the research suggested that higher welfare standards for sheep exist on farms run by farmers who have a higher perception level of animal welfare. These farmers believed that personnel and shelter conditions were more effective than veterinary inspection, feeding and other factors in terms of animal welfare. In addition, we detected a significant relationship between the farmers' perceptions and their gender, educational level, whether they enjoyed their work, or whether they applied the custom of religious sacrifice. Our results showed that emotional and cognitive factors related to farmers' perceptions may offer opportunities for progress in the domain of animal welfare.
