Transparent and conductive multilayer thin films consisting of three alternating layers FZTO/Ag/$WO_3$ have been fabricated by radio-frequency (RF) sputtering for the applications as transparent conducting oxides and the structural and optical properties of the resulting films were carefully studied. The single layer fluorine doped zinc tin oxide (FZTO) and tungsten oxide ($WO_3$) films grown at room temperature are found to have an amorphous structure. Multilayer structured electrode with a few nm Ag layer embedded in FZTO/Ag/$WO_3$ (FAW) was fabricated and showed the optical transmittance of 87.60 % in the visible range (${\lambda}=380{\sim}770nm$), quite low electrical resistivity of ${\sim}10^{-5}{\Omega}cm$ and the corresponding figure of merit ($T^{10}/R_s$) is equivalent to $3.0{\times}10^{-2}{\Omega}^{-1}$. The resultant power conversion efficiency of 2.50% of the multilayer based OPV is lower than that of the reference commercial ITO. Asymmetric D/M/D multilayer is a promising transparent conducting electrode material due to its low resistivity, high transmittance, low temperature deposition and low cost components.
This study has been conducted to find out the location and amount of the subterrain water body developed in the alluvial stratum in Paho-Dong, Sungsee-Myo-n, Dalsung-Kun are. An earlier test drilling was done in this area by R.O.K. Agricultural Promotion Corporation. The area consists of a small river basin and surrounding low hills developed around the junction of the Nakdong and Kumho Rivers. The strata of this area are made of Paldal gravel, Bokhyundong and Banyawol layers which were formed in the cretaceous period of the Meso-saicera or acid dikes and covered with-irregular alluvial layers. The alluvial layer in this area is composed of rather minute particles and proportional electric resistance tests on this layer show $10^2\;-\;10^3\;\Omega/cm$. The drillings up to 12meters deep showed only the sand layer (Form 3 to 26meters in thickness) contains water. The sand layers can not be considered a good water trapping one. Applying the data from the drillings to A.Hazen's equation, $K\;=\;{cd_e}^2\;(0.7\;+0.03t)$ to get the theoretical value of the water infilterated, I calculated it as K=13.92m/day. And again the value was set to Dupuit equation, (equation omitted) to acquire the pumping water amount the result was $Q_1\;=\;77.20\;\textrm{m}^3/day$. When the data-applied to the equation for pumping water amount, (equation omitted), the results were $Q_2\;=\;122.39\;\textrm{m}^3/day$ and K = 38m/day $Q_1\;and;Q_2$ (tow types of pumping water amount) represent proper value decrease and maximum value decrease respectively. Therefore, $Q_2$ is the least amount of water we can pump. The area covers about $1,555,000\;\textrm{m}^2$ and the maximum water needed in this area amounts to $155,000\textrm{m}^3$. That means we have to drill 1,406 pumping wells. It is concluded that undertaking the project in this area is irrational or even desperate and surface water should be developed more favorably.

Here, we demonstrated the optimum design of pillar microstructure for efficient microdroplet merging. The microfluidic device mainly consisted of programmable microvalves and pillar microstructures. Based on the system, aqueous droplets were continuously generated at T-junction using actuating of integrated programmable microvalaves under the immiscible continuous fluid (mineral oil containing 0.5 wt% Span 80). The principle of merging process depended on the competitive correlation of hydraulic pressure of continuous phase and Laplace pressure of the droplet. We found that the design of the micropillars controls above two pressures. Finally, it was demonstrated that the microfluidic system could be able to efficient biochemical reaction. We expect that the microfluidic system is useful analytical or reaction tools in fundamental science, biotechnology, and chemical engineering.

There are many risk factors of electrical shock caused by a minimum of protective devices, loose working environments, deterioration of installations at temporary power installations of construction sites. An insulation cover for instrument transformer(MOF) used in 22.9[kV] class power receiving system hasn't shown good performance in terms of electrical safety because of short clearance between insulation cover and each input and output wire junction part. The insulation cover is easily moved by outside environment as wind or rain because of different size between insulation cover and busing, also can be leaded to breakdown by tracking. Therefore, we have proposed the insulation cover which effectively can prevent from electrical disaster in this paper, and a utility model patent had been registered already. To decrease the electric field concentrated on specific part, we had roundly designed the shape of insulation cover and the clearance between cover and live part was adjusted to be longer than the existing thing. The proposed insulation cover was evaluated by using the electric field solution program.

Conventional electroexplosive devices (EED) commonly use a very small metal bridgewire to ignite explosive materials i.e. pyrotechnics, primary and secondary explosives. The use of semiconductor devices to replace “hot-wire” resistance heating elements in automotive safety systems pyrotechnic devices has been under development for several years. In a typical 1 amp/1 watt electroexplosive devices, ignition takes place a few milliseconds after a current pulse of at least 25 mJ is applied to the bridgewire. In contrast, as for a SCB devices, ignition takes place in a few tens of microseconds and only require approximately one-tenth the input energy of a conventional electroexplosive devices. Typically, when SCB device is driven by a short (20 $\mu\textrm{s}$), low energy pulse (less than 5 mJ), the SCB produces a hot plasma that ignites explosive materials. The advantages and disadvantages of this technology are strongly dependent upon the particular technology selected. To date, three distinct technologies have evolved, each of which utilizes a hot, silicon plasma as the pyrotechnic initiation element. These technologies are 1.) Heavily doped silicon as the resistive heating initiation mechanism, 2.) Tungsten enhanced silicon which utilizes a chemically vapor deposited layer of tungsten as the initiation element, and 3.) a junction diode, fabricated with standard CMOS processes, which creates the initial thermal environment by avalanche breakdown of the diode. This paper describes the three technologies, discusses the advantages and disadvantages of each as they apply to electroexplosive devises, and recommends a methodology for selection of the best device for a particular system environment. The important parameters in this analysis are: All-Fire energy, All-Fire voltage, response time, ease of integration with other semiconductor devices, cost (overall system cost), and reliability. The potential for significant cost savings by integrating several safety functions into the initiator makes this technology worthy of attention by the safety system designer.
Purpose: This study evaluated and compared interradicular distances and cortical bone thickness in Thai patients with Class I and Class II skeletal patterns, using cone-beam computed tomography (CBCT). Materials and Methods: Pretreatment CBCT images of 24 Thai orthodontic patients with Class I and Class II skeletal patterns were included in the study. Three measurements were chosen for investigation: the mesiodistal distance between the roots, the width of the buccolingual alveolar process, and buccal cortical bone thickness. All distances were recorded at five different levels from the cementoenamel junction (CEJ). Descriptive statistical analysis and t-tests were performed, with the significance level for all tests set at p<0.05. Results: Patients with a Class II skeletal pattern showed significantly greater maxillary mesiodistal distances (between the first and second premolars) and widths of the buccolingual alveolar process (between the first and second molars) than Class I skeletal pattern patients at 10 mm above the CEJ. The maxillary buccal cortical bone thicknesses between the second premolar and first molar at 8 mm above the CEJ in Class II patients were likewise significantly greater than in Class I patients. Patients with a Class I skeletal pattern showed significantly wider mandibular buccolingual alveolar processes than did Class II patients (between the first and second molars) at 4, 6, and 8 mm below the CEJ. Conclusion: In both the maxilla and mandible, the mesiodistal distances, the width of the buccolingual alveolar process, and buccal cortical bone thickness tended to increase from the CEJ to the apex in both Class I and Class II skeletal patterns.

An attempting to produce a p-type diluted magnetic semiconductor (DMS) using $Ti_{1-x}Co_xO_{2-\delta}-based$ thin films was made by suitable control of the deposition parameters including deposition temperature, deposition pressure, and doping level using a pulsed laser deposition method. T$Ti_{0.97}Co_{0.03}O_{2-\delta}-based$ (TCO) films deposited at $500^{\circ}C$ at a pressure of $5\times10^{-6}$ Torr showed an anomalous Hall effect with p-type characteristics. On the other hand, films deposited at $700^{\circ}C$ at $5\times10^{-6}$ Torr showed n-type behaviors by a decreased solubility of cobalt. The charge carrier concentration in the p-type TCO films was approximately $7.9\times10^{22}/cm^3$ at 300 K and the anomalous Hall effect in the p-type TCO films was controlled by a side-jump scattering mechanism. The magnetoresistance (MR), measured at 5 K in p-type TCO films showed a positive behavior in an applied magnetic field and the MR ratio was approximately 3.5 %. The successful preparation of p-type DMS using the TCO films has the potential for use in magnetic tunneling junction devices.

Bitewing and periapical radiographic techniques are used in clinical and epidemiological studies to assess crestal alveolar bone levels. The purpose of the present study investigated relationships between these techniques by assessing alveolar crest location at the same site. Bitewing and periapical radiographs were available from posterior quadrants of 120 subjects. The distance from cemento-enamel junction to the alveolar crest (CEJ -CR) was measured for each proximal surface from the distal of the cuspid to the distal of the second molar. Data were arranged according to the proximal surface examined, and bitewing and periapical measurements were compared using paired tests. The obtained results were as follows; 1. In maxilla, a significant t ratio with a P value of 0.05 or less was reached for 78% and in mandible reached for 39%. 2. Pearson correlations were calculated 32 surfaces (89%) had values below 0.70 and so, data obtained by these techniques can not be used interchangeably on an individual or group basis. 3. In situations where the periapical measure was greater than the bitewing, it ranged up to 20.7% greater with a mean 9.8%. Where the bitewing was greater than periapical, it ranged up to 51. 9% greater, with a mean 18.2%. 4. The percentage difference was greater in maxillary posterior areas than in mandibular molar, premolar areas. A lower prevalence of significant differences was attributed to relatively more simple root and favorable radiographic conditions in mandibular molar and premolar areas. 5. The anatomical limitations imposed on periapical radiographic technique, most often result in somewhat foreshortened radiographic images. This situation would tend to be accentuated by the anatomical restrictions of the hard palate. 6. Consequently, since the significant differences frequently exist between measurements obtained from bitewing and periapical techniques, it is important to define which technique is used.
Objective : In Korea, early vertebroplasty (EVP) or delayed vertebroplasty (DVP, which is performed at least 2 weeks after diagnosis) were performed for the treatment of acute osteoporotic compression fracture (OCF) of the spine. The present study compared the outcomes of two surgical strategies for the treatment of single-level acute OCF in the thoracolumbar junction (T12-L2). Methods : From 2004 to 2010, 23 patients were allocated to the EVP group (EVPG) and 27 patients to the DVP group (DVPG). Overall mean age was $68.3{\pm}7.9$ and minimum follow-up period was 1.0 year. Retrospective study of clinical and radiological results was conducted. Results : No significant differences in baseline characteristics were observed between the two groups. As expected, mean duration from onset to vertebroplasty and mean duration of hospital stay were significantly longer in the DVPG ($17.1{\pm}2.1$ and $17.5{\pm}4.2$) than in the EVPG ($3.8{\pm}3.3$ and $10.8{\pm}5.1$, p=0.001). Final clinical outcome including visual analogue scale (VAS), Oswestry Disability Index, and Odom's criteria did not differ between the two groups. However, immediate improvement of the VAS after vertebroplasty was greater in the EVPG ($5.1{\pm}1.3$) than in the DVPG ($4.0{\pm}1.0$, p=0.002). The proportion of cement leakage was lower in the EVPG (30.4%) than in the DVPG (59.3%, p=0.039). In addition, semiquantitative grade of cement interdigitation was significantly more favorable in the EVPG than in the DVPG (p=0.003). Final vertebral body collapse and segmental kyphosis did not differ significantly between the two groups. Conclusion : Our findings suggest that EVP achieves a better immediate surgical effect with more favorable cost-effectiveness.
The objects of PV (Photovoltaic) monitoring system is to reduce the loss of system and operation and maintenance costs. In case of PV plants with configured of centralized inverter type, only 1 PV module might be caused a large loss in the PV plant. For this reason, the monitoring technology of PV module-level that find out the location of the fault module and reduce the system losses is interested. In this paper, a fault diagnosis algorithm are proposed using thermal and electrical characteristics of PV modules under failure. In addition, the monitoring system applied with proposed algorithm was constructed. The wireless sensor using LoRa chip was designed to be able to connect with IoT device in the future. The characteristics of PV module by shading is not failure but it is treated as a temporary failure. In the monitoring system, it is possible to diagnose whether or not failure of bypass diode inside the junction box. The fault diagnosis algorithm are developed on considering a situation such as communication error of wireless sensor and empirical performance evaluation are currently conducting.
