SHPB인장 시험에서 알루미늄 합금의 진응력-진변형률 관계

  • The split Hokinson pressure bar(SHPB) test has been used to find the mechanical property of materials at high strain rate. A tensile split Hopkinson pressure bar test system is developed and the threaded tensile specimen and the split collar are placed between elastic bars. When the compressive elastic wave generated by a striker is transferred from the transmit bar to the incident bar, some elastic wave is reflected at the threaded parts of the specimen and the transmit bar. This reflected wave can interfere with the transmitted wave. A proper length of elastic bars and the location of strain gage in these elastic bars are determined to avoid this interference. In order to avoid the interference of elastic wave reflected at the threaded parts of specimen and elastic bar, the length of transmit bar must be longer than that of incident bar. Strain gage in transmit bar must be located as close as possible from the interface of a transmit bar and specimen. In the developed tensile SHPB test system, A12011-T3 and A17075-T6 are tested to get the true stress-strain relation in the range of strain rate at $10^3/sec$

UV 폭로 및 동결융해 시험을 거친 FRP Hybrid Bar의 인장거동 평가 (Evaluation of Tension Behavior in FRP Hybrid Bar Affected by UV Exposure and Freezing/Thawing Tests)

  • 본 연구에서는 UV 폭로 및 동결융해 환경이 FRP Hybrid Bar의 인장거동 및 표면 열화에 미치는 영향을 평가하기 위해 FRP Hybrid Bar를 대상으로 UV 폭로 및 동결융해 시험을 실시하였다. FRP Hybrid Bar의 경우 UV 폭로 및 동결융해 180cycle 시험 전/후 외관적인 열화가 거의 발생하지 않았다. 또한 FRP Hybrid Bar의 주요 장점 중 하나인 인장경화특성은 동결융해 시험을 거친 이후에도 유지되었는데, 이는 UV 폭로시험을 거친 FRP Hybrid Bar에도 유효하게 평가되었다. UV 폭로시험을 거친 FRP Hybrid Bar는 일반 FRP Hybrid Bar와 거의 비슷한 인장거동을 나타내었으며, 동결융해 180cycle의 진행에도 불구하고 일반철근, FRP Hybrid Bar, UV 폭로를 거친 FRP Hybrid Bar의 인장거동은 큰 변화를 나타내지 않았다. 본 연구에서는 UV 폭로 및 동결융해 환경이 FRP Hybrid Bar의 외관 및 인장 특성에 큰 영향을 미치지 못하는 것으로 판단되지만, 충격에 따른 규사코팅의 박락은 콘크리트와의 부착력에 영향을 미치므로 이에 대한 고려가 필요하다.

선외기 샤프트용 재료의 마찰용접에 관한 연구 (Study on Friction Welding of SUS431 and SCM21 for External Shaft of Ship)

  • A study on friction welding of stainless steel bar(SUS431) to chrome molybdenum steel bar(SCM21) was accomplished experimentally through analysis for relations among friction welding conditions, tension test, hardness test, microstructure test and acoustic emission test. The results obtained are summarized as follows ; 1. Through friction welding of SUS431 bar to SCM21 bar, the optimum welding condition by considering on strength and toughness was found to be the range of heating time of 3-5 sec when the number of rotating speed of 2000rpm, heating pressure of 10kg/$mm^2$, and upsetting time of 4 sec. 2. Quantitative ralationship was identified between heating time($T_1$, sec) and tensile strength (${\sigma},\;kgf/mm^2$) of the friction welded joint and the relation equation is $\sigma$=52.62$T_1{^{0.06}}$. 3. Through AE test, quantitative relationship was confirmed between heating time($T_1$, sec) and total AE(N, counts) during welding, and the relation is computed as follows ; N=30413.6$e^{0.06T1}$. 4. It was confirmed that the quantitative ralationship exists between the tensile strength of the welded joints and AE cumulative counts. And the relation is computed as the following ; ${\sigma}$=16.37(ln N)- 116.4. 5. When ONZ=36500-41500 counts by $OT_1Z$=3~5sec, it was identified by experiment that the range of welded joint tensile strength is 55.6-57.7kgf/$mm^2$/ whose joint efficiency is more than 100%, and it was experimentally confirmed that the real-time nondestructive quality(strength) evaluation for the friction welded joints could be possible by acoustic emission technique.

이형 하부다이아프램으로 보강된 각형 CFT 기둥-보 접합부의 내진성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on Seismic Performance for CFT Square Column-to-Beam Connections Reinforced with Asymmetric Lower Diaphragms)

  • Most of existing beam-to-column connections are reinforced symmetrically because of reverse action cause by earthquake but in the weak-earthquake region like Korea connections reinforced asymmetrically can be used. Specially, the connections between CFT(Concrete Filled Tube) column and H-shape beam can be applied by simplified lower diaphragm. The tensile capacity of Combined Cross Diaphragm for upper reinforcing was tested by simple tension test and four types for lower reinforcing; Combined Cross, None, Horizontal T-bar and Vertical Plate were tested by ANSI/AISC SSPEC 2002 loading program. Horizontal T-bar and stud bolts in vertical flat bar transmit tensile stress from bottom flange of beam to filled concrete. All test specimens were satisfied 0.01 radian of inelastic rotational requirement in ordinary moment frame of AISC seismic provision. As the results of parametric studies, simplified lower diaphragms demonstrated an outstanding strength, stiffness and plastic deformation capacity to use sufficient seismic performance in the field.

마찰용접에 의한 드릴 생산에서의 AE에 의한 실시간 품질평가에 관한 연구 (Study on Real-Time Weld Quality Evaluation by Acoustic Emission for Production of Drills by Friction Weldiing)

  • A study off riction welding of high speed steel(SKH 51) bar for blade side to carbon steel(STC 3)bar for shank side was carried out experimentally through tensile test, hardness test, microstructure, and acoustic emission (AE) test. So, this paper deals with optimizing the welding conditions and the real-time quality (strength) evaluation of friction weleded joints by acoustic emission technique. The results obtained are summarized as follows: (1) For friction welded joints of SKH 51to STC 3 steel bars, the total upset (U) increases linearly with an increase of heating time (t sub(1)). (2) The determined optimum welding conditions are heating time (t sub(1)) 7-9 sec, upsetting time (t sub(2)) 5 sec, heating pressure(P sub(1)) 12 kg sub(f)mm supper(2), upsetting pressure (P sub(2)) 15 kg sub(f) mm supper(2) and rotating speed (n) 2, 000 rpm, resulting in a computed relationship between the tensile strength of the joint .sigma. (kg sub(f) mm supper(2)) and the heating time t sub(1) (sec) as the following. sigma.=2.39t sub(1)

Experimental Characterization of Dynamic Tensile Strength in Unidirectional Carbon/Epoxy Composites

  • This study aims to characterize the dynamic tensile strength of unidirectional carbon/epoxy composites. Two different carbon/epoxy composite systems, the unidirectional T700S/2500 and TR50S/modified epoxy, are tested at the static condition and the strain rate of $100\;s^{-1}$. A high-strain-rate test was performed using a tension-type split Hopkinson bar technique with a specific fixture for specimen. The experimental results demonstrated that both tensile strength increase with strain rate, while the fracture behaviors are quite different. By the use of the rosette analysis and the strain transformation equations, the strain rate effects of material principal directions on tensile strength are investigated. It is experimentally found that the shear strain rate produces the more significant contribution to strain rate effect on dynamic tensile strength. An empirical failure criterion for characterizing the dynamic tensile strength was proposed based on the Hash-in's failure criterion. Although the proposed criterion is just the empirical formula, it is in better agreement with the experimental data and quite simple.

  • 콘크리트충전 강판(CFT)기둥과 H-형강 보 접합부의 기존 보강 방식은 상 하 동일 다이아프램 형태로 처리하는 것이 일반적이지만, 우리나라와 같은 중 약진지역에서는 하부플랜지에 인장 발생률이 적으므로 하부측을 단순화시켜 경제적인 접합부를 만들 수 있다. 우선적으로 본 논문에서는 단순인장실험을 실시하여 인장거동을 파악하고, 그 결과를 확장 적용하여 하부측 단순화의 타당성을 검증하였다. 본 실험에서는 상부에 복합십자형 다이아프램(Combined Diaphragm)을 하부에는 네 가지 형식 즉, 복합십자형, 무보강, 수평 T-bar, 수직 Plate를 다아아프램으로 제작한 실대크기의 실험체를 ANSI/AISC SSPEC-2002 가력 프로그램(AISC,2002)에 따라 반복가력실험을 하였다. 하부다이아프램에 사용된 수평 T-bar와 수직 Flat bar의 스터드 볼트는 횡력에 의해 하부다이아프램에 인장력이 가해질 때 보 플랜지의 인장력을 내부 콘크리트에 전달하기 위함이다. 각각의 실험체는 하부 인장시 내력의 차이가 조금 있었으나 모든 실험체가 AISC에서 규정하고 있는 합성보통모멘트 골조인(AISC,2002) 0.01rad의 비탄성회전 능력을 발휘하였다. 하부 접합부의 거동을 분석한 결과, 단순화된 하부다이아프램은 내력과 강성뿐만 아니라 소성 변형 능력이 우수하며 현장에 사용하기에 충분한 내진성능을 나타냄을 입증하였다.

Built-up H형강의 소재특성 및 용접성능에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Material Properties and Welding Performance of Built-up H-beam)

  • 단면을 자유롭게 제작할 수 있는 Built-up H형강(BH)의 사용이 점점 증대하고 있다. 본 연구는 BH의 규격화를 위한 기초연구로 SM490, SM520 강재의 항복강도, 인장강도, 연신율, 샤르피 흡수에너지 등의 소재특성을 확인하였다. 또한 single-SAW 및 tandem-SAW를 활용하여 6개의 BH 공시체를 제작하였으며, 공시체에서 매크로시험편, T바 인장실험체를 채취하여 용접성능을 확인하였다. 소재특성시험 결과 국내산 SM490, SM520 강재의 특성은 모두 KS를 만족하였으며, 용접성능실험 결과 BH의 용접부는 충분한 용접성능을 갖추었다고 판단할 수 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서 사용된 국내산 SM490, SM520 강재는 BH의 소재로 적합한 것으로 판단되며, single-SAW, tandem-SAW는 충분한 용접성능을 발휘하는 것으로 사료된다.

국산 SPS5 스프링강의 마찰용접에 관한 연구 (A Study on Friction Welding of Localized SPS5 Spring Steel)

  • This thesis studied whether friction welding of SPSS, localized torsion bar material could be accomplished or not. And then optimum welding conditions were examined and leaded through tensile, impact, torsion and hardness test after postweld heat treatment of the actual field condition. Obtained results were as follows; Linear relationship was existed between heating time and total upset, and a quadratic equation model could be made between tensile strength and heating time. Optimum welding conditions with fine structure were as follows in case total upset(U)=8.5mm; the number of rotations(n)=2,000 rpm, heating pressure($p_1$)=80MPa, upset pressure($p_2$)=200MPa, heating time($t_1$)=4sec, upset time($t_2$)=3 sec.

연약지반 표층처리공법 설계정수(지지력계수$N_c$, 인장력$T_i$) 산정방법에 관한 고찰 (A Study on Determining the Design Parameter ($N_c$, $T_i$) of the Surface Reinforcement Method for Soft Ground)

  • This study, as basic research which was intended to develope the surface reinforcement method using reinforcement material which is applicable to very soft ground in Korea, was aimed at proposing the design parameter for the surface ground improvement method. To that end, a wide width tensile test using geotextile, geogrid and steel bar (substitute for bamboo) and 25 kinds of the laboratory model tests with the end restraint conditions of the reinforcement that comprises the constrained and partially constrained (3 types) conditions were conducted. And the result indicated that the modulus of subgrade reaction or $N_c$ value (5.3) apparently overestimated the bearing capacity of very soft ground such as dredged ground. Moreover, as a result of model test by partially constraining the preload of 23.0kgf using geotextile, the effect of bearing capacity($q_1$) appeared to be the largest till the loading stress was $0.4tf/m^2$ due to cohesion, while it reached 75% of the maximum bearing force after $0.4tf/m^2$ due to increase in the effect of bearing capacity($q_2$) caused by the tensile force of the reinforcement. Such results tended to have appeared constantly or very similarly with each other, irrespective of the type of reinforcement (geogrid, steel bar) and constraint conditions.
