Purpose: This ethnography is aimed at describing the health care seeking behavior of elderly details in their socio-cultural context. The research question is 'under what conditions did elderly informants decide to use certain professional health care services and how do they make use of all the available resources?' Method: 10 sessions of fieldwork were conducted in the two agricultural villages between Sep. 1999 and Oct. 2002. The data for this paper came from participant observation with 14 informants. In the process of analysis I used proxemic and taxonomic techniques. Result: Informants decided to use a certain health care system according to their folk definition of illness. They prefer to use the health services where they felt more comfortable and free. They wished to be care from intuitive and holistic healers. Social network and having health resources was also important factor. Conclusion: We need more comprehensive research model to reach a plausible explanation. Combined qualitative-quantitative research is needed to get practical data to develop effective health care systems for the elderly.

Power distribution system planning for maximum customer satisfaction and system efficiency requires accurate forecast of future demand in service area. Spatial load forecasting method provides a more accurate estimation of both magnitudes and location of future electrical load. This method considers the causes of load growth due to addition of customers and per capita consumption among customers by land use (residential, commercial and industrial). So the land-use study and it's preference for small area is quite important. This paper proposes land-use preference estimation method based on fuzzy logic. Fuzzy logic is applied to computing preference scores for each land-use and by these scores the customer growth is allocated in service area. An simulation example is used to illustrate the proposed method.

The purpose of this study is to present the form of Korean policeman's headgear which is endowed with traditional Korean characters and a creative property that has distinctive from other headgears. The investigation was carried out through the researh of policeman's headgears in foreign countries such as United Kingdom France Belgium Italy germany and Japan. The dom-estic investigation was carried out through the Focused Group Interview and analysis on the domestic policeman's service and headgear. Lastly the research into the characteristic of Korean traditional headgear's from was carried out. Consequently two types of policeman's head-gear hat and cap were newly developed and the system of practical use was suggested. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Through the use of traditional and formal elements of Korean ancient headgears korean policeman's headgears were improved in distinc-tion and dignity. 2. Through the use of unisexual form police-man's headgears were improved in uniformity. 3. Through the use of transformal accessories policeman's headgear were improved in simplified system. 4. Through the use of newly formed and lighten weighted materials policeman's head-gears were improved in functionability.

The information about land use presents future development and vision being the basis of nation development; therefore, it is necessary to more active research that can detect wide land use and changes for the information and efficient management about land use. In this study, we wished to analyze effectively land use changes to Ansan city that is fast changing land use by the latest national land development and urbanization. this study executed land-cover classification using 4 year's Landsat TM images including Ansan city, and efficiently could manage the result of land-cover changes through Arc/Info GRID analysis. Especially, by using change detection system that is developed in this research, we could variously detect land-cover changes, and query and search easily past land-cover changes of pixels that correspond to specific region.

In this paper, we propose an indoor positioning system that makes use of the attenuation model for IEEE 802.11 Channel State Information (CSI) in order to determine its distance from an Access Point (AP) at a fixed position. With the use of CSI, we can mitigate the problems present in the use of Received Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) data and increase the accuracy of the estimated mobile device's location. For the experiments we performed, we made use of the Intel 5300 Series Network Interface Card (NIC) in order to receive the channel frequency response. The Intel 5300 NIC differs from its counterparts in that it can obtain not only the RSSI but also the CSI between an access point and a mobile device. We can obtain the signal strengths and phases from subcarriers of a system which in turn means making use of this data in the estimation of a mobile device's position.

KSLV-I의 킥모터의 추력벡터제어용 구동장치 시스템은 전기-유압식 서보 구동장치 형상으로 설계되었으며 가동노즐을 구동하는 구동장치, 유압동력을 생성하는 유압동력 생성장치, 유압동력을 구동장치에 전달해 주는 유압동력분배장치와 관성항법장치에서 입력되는 제어신호에 따라 구동장치를 제어하는 제어장치 등으로 구성되어있다. 그중에서 유압동력을 생성하는 장치는 전기모터를 이용하여 유압펌프를 구동하는 EMDP(Electric Motor Driven Pump) 방식을 채택하고 있다. 일반적으로 전기모터는 구동이 편리한 브러시 방식의 직류모터(BDC 모터)를 사용하는데 일정 고도이상에서는 사용이 용이하지 않다. 그래서 고고도에서 사용하기 위해 브러시없는 직류모터(BLDC 모터)를 이용하여 유압펌프를 구동하는 시스템을 개발하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 브러시없는 직류모터를 구동하기 위한 제어기 설계에 대하여 자세히 설명하고자 한다.

Geothermal-energy has been getting popular as a natural energy source for green buildings these days. Public building with gross area more than $3000m^2$, planned after March, 2005, should spend about 5% of total building cost for equipment run by natural energy source (e.g. geothermal, solar heat, solar power, etc) according to renewable energy promotion law in Korea. As a result geothermal-energy using heat pump system is emerging as a effective alternative for realistic and economic plan although design guidelines and construction code for the system is in progress and technical data is far from sufficient. The quantitative analysis on the performance of geothermal-energy using heat pump system is insufficient for appropriate design of it. In this paper, cooling performance of geothermal-energy using heat pump system of residential and retail etc. mixed-use building has been analyzed on the basis of temperature comparison between inlet and outlet of heat exchangers of the operating system. Additionally, dry-bulb temperature and relative humidity have been measured and analyzed together as an index of indoor thermal environment.

본 논문은 버스 승차인원정보를 제공하는 버스정보시스템의 구현을 목적으로 한다. 최근 버스정보시스템의 도입을 통하여 버스 이용자에게 다양한 위치위반 정보를 제공함으로써 편의성을 제공하고 있다. 그러나 쾌적한 버스를 이용하기 위하여 버스 선택을 위한 의사결정에 필요한 정보의 제공이 요구된다. 이를 위하여 승차인원 정보 제공의 필요성을 분석하고 GPS와 RFID 방식의 교통카드를 활용하여 위치 및 승차 인원정보를 수집, 가공하였으며 다양한 정보표시 시스템을 통하여 정보를 제공할 수 있도록 구현하였다. 제안한 시스템은 기존의 버스정보시스템에서 제공되는 버스위치기반 관련 정보와 더불어 버스 이용객의 의사결정을 위한 주요한 요소인 승차인원 정보를 제공함으로써 쾌적한 버스이용과 효율적인 버스 관리의 장점을 제공한다.

The vision system is easy to use the exclusive use as a independent computer system but it is not much popularization by reason of expensive and difficult to adapt to the various fields, because it is easy to the existed computer system, the price is cheap and also it can use to the various measurement purpose which user wanted and programed. The measurement method of the vehicle axle casing nut welding part is that measure the value of the welding part to adapt the actual operation program from using the ratio between the actual length of the standard specimen and the length of image, to measure the ratio between the actual product and the camera image. A defect is found by the assembled visual inspection system. The inspection algorithm which estimates the quality of welded product is developed and also, the software program which processes the automatic test function of the inspection system. We make the foundation of the inspection automatic system and we will help to apply other welding machine.

As video games gain popularity and become a normal part of home entertainment, concern about youth access to inappropriate games continues to grow. Some people have claimed that violent video games influence children's aggressive behavior and that violent video games have some responsibility for violence in the school. In response to people's concerns, the video game industry created a video game rating system in 1995 to help parents decide which video games are appropriate for their children. This study investigated whether parents were aware of the video game rating system and how often they have used it when selecting video games for their children. This study attempted to find relationships among parents' attitudes toward video games, their guidance styles for their children's video game play, and their use of the video game rating system. This study found that most parents have used the video game ratings very frequently when they select video games for their children. But many parents still don't understand the video game rating system. This study showed that parents who had more negative attitudes or less positive attitudes toward video games were more likely to impose restrictions on their children's video game play and to use the video game rating system as a means to restrict their children's access to violent video games.
