  • KAERI (Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute) has been performing the project named PEFP (proton engineering frontier project). PEFP has been performing the project of a high power proton accelerator. Control system for 20 MeV proton accelerating structure has developed. We use the EPICS(Experimental Physics and Industrial Control System) tool kit as a foundation of the control system. EPICS is adopted for control systems which have OPI(OPerator Interface) and IOqlnput Output Controller). We have performed the PEPF control system on SUN workstation host computer. In this paper, we present the vacuum monitor, RFQ, and DTL Turbo pump control system.

  • Ship's positino data obtaining method is ine of the very important factor innavigation . Nowadays, GPS(Global Positioning System) using the earth orbiting satellites are equipped and operated for the position finding. Because it provides more precise position information than other equipments and is very convenient for navigator. In this study, it is designed to develop the GPS simulator for everybody being able to proactise the GPS operating skill like as navigation planning, navigation calculating etc. And also, it can be operated with personal computer without real GPS receiver. This simulation system is based on the real GPS receiver system and built by the visual basic 5.0 program. And it displays the ship's position and navigating information and plots the ship's moving track on the screen in real time according as initial setup data-main engine's rpm, rudder angle, depature position and waypoint.

  • This paper describes a new bike system for the postural balance rehabilitation training. Virtual environment and three dimensional graphic model is designed with CAD tools such as 3D Studio Max and World Up. For the real time bike simulation, the optimized WorldToolKit graphic library is embedded with the dynamic geometry generation method, multi-thread method, and portal generation method. In this experiment, 20 normal adults were tested to investigate the influencing factors of balancing posture. We evaluated the system by measuring the parameters such as path deviation, driving velocity, COP(center for pressure), and average weight shift. Also, we investigated the usefulness of visual feedback information by weight shift. The results showed that continuous visual feedback by weight shift was more effective than no visual feedback in the postural balance control It is concluded this system might be applied to clinical use as a new postural balance training system.

  • This paper proposes a real-time geometric correction system based on a projector to project digital images onto deformable surface. Markers use to trace lots of corresponding points would spoil the projected image when the projector projects a digital image onto the surface because they leave marks on the surface. In addition, it is difficult to build a real-time geometric correction system since bottlenecks occur through the process of the geometric correction for projecting images. In this paper, we use invisible infrared markers and a vertex shader of GPU using Cg TookKit of NVIDIA in order to eliminate disadvantage and bottlenecks in the process of markers recognition so that it is possible to project natural correction images in real-time. As a result, this system overlays an interactive virtual texture onto the real paper by using the geometric transformation. Therefore, it is possible to develop variation of AR(Augmented Reality) based on digital contents systems.

PC용 중소형 S/W개발을 위한 graphic user interface tool kit

  • S/W의 구성은 기능을 실제로 수행하는 계산처리부와 사용자와 정보를 주고받는 User Interface부로 크게 나누어 볼 수 있다. 대부분의 S/W는 그 기능의 충실도와 아울러 편리한 사용법이 잘 어울려야 제역할을 할 수 있다. 따라서 편리한 User Interface를 만드는 일은 훌륭한 기능을 제공하는 것과 마찬가지로 S/W 개발자들이 지향해야 할 목표중 하나라 하겠다. 그러나 편리한 User Interface를 만드는 일은 전체 시스템개발 기간중 상당한 부분을 차지한다. 특히 CAD/CAM관련 S/W와 같이 사용자와 정보를 Graphic으로 주고받는 경우에는 User Interface의 구성이 더욱 더 어려워지며, 개발기간중 User Interace가 차지하는 비중은 더욱 커지게 된다. GUI는 최근들어 상당히 각광을 받고 있는 분야이며, 상당수의 GUI가 개발되어 있고, 이중 Unix용의 X-Window MS-DOS용의 MS-WINDOWS 3.0이 널리 사용되고 있다. 그러나 이러한 Window System들은 매우 다양한 기능을 제공하고 있음에도 불구하고, GUI자체의 덩치가 매우크고, S/W개발자가 익혀야하는 내용이 너무 복잡하여, 중/소형의 S/W개발에 사용하기에는 적합하지 않다. 본 연구에서는 GUI(Graphic User Interface)부분을 계산처리부와 완전분리하여, 범용성있는 개발용 Tool Kit을 구성함으로써 S/W개발자는 계산처리부만을 만들면되는 방안을 제시하고 있다. GS-GUI는 Menu처리부, Mouse/Keyboard입력처리부, Text/Graphic출력처리부로 나뉘어진다. Menu처리부는 Menu File로 주어지는 Menu Tree를 Pop-Up형태로 보여주며 User가 Menu를 선택할 수 있도록하며 선택된 Menu Item에 대한 Action Code를 계산처리부로 넘겨준다. 입력처리부에서는 Mouse와 Keyboard 어느것으로나 입력이 가능하도록 해준다. 출력처리부에서는 Action Code에 따라 계산처리부에서 계산된 결과를 화면에 보여주기 위한 각종 2D/3D Graphic Routine들이 포함되어있어 계산처리부에서 불러쓰도록 되어있다.

Context Based User Profile for Personalization in Ubiquitous Computing Environments (유비쿼터스 컴퓨팅 환경에서 개인화를 위한 상황정보 기반 사용자 프로파일)

  • We proposed the context based user profile which is aware of its user's situation and based on user's situation it recommends personalized services. The user profile which consists of (context, service) pair can be acquired by the context and the service usage of a user; it then can be used to recommend personalized services for the user. In this paper, we show how they can be evolved without previously known user information so that not to violate privacy during the learning phase; in the result our user profile can be applied to any new environment without any modification to model only except context profiles. Using context-awareness based user profile, the service usage pattern of a user can be learned by the union of contexts and the preferred services can be recommended by the current environments. Finally, we evaluate the precision of proposed approach using simulation with data sets of UCI depository and Weka tool-kit.

  • In this paper, we design and implements editor for education multimedia content authoring based on avatar that use LipSynchro software development kit(SDK). This system automatically generate a movement of Avatar interworking with motion generation engine and phonetic tuning engine. thus, it is able to more excellent educational contents that combine educational multimedia contents authoring tool.

  • The purpose of this present experiments was to simulate the Active noise control system using MATLAB Tool kit. The Least-Mean-Square algorithm is the most applicable one to optimize the ANC systems, even it has tight limitation. This paper shows the influence of choosing step size to the performance of the LMS adaptive filters. In addition to the simulation, this paper describes the method to design the filtered LMS algorithm to get the better performance in Active noise control. It contains the secondary-path modeling to realize the real Active noise control system in the requesting fields.

  • To develop a ubiquitous system, several researches have been tried to apply multi-agent models to design a system. Even though current multi-agent models provide many benefits with ubiquitous system developments, there are still some deficiencies in completely supporting the characteristics of ubiquitous systems such as dynamic formation and termination of mission-oriented organizations and interrelationship between organizations. In addition, existing agent-based models only concern aboutananalysis and design of a system, then place a burden of implementation on developers. Therefore, in this paper, we propose the high-level abstraction model of a multi-agent based ubiquitous system and the development process concerning implementation as well as design of systems. In addition, we implemented a development toolkit, called as CDTK(Community computing system Development Tool Kit), then developed a small community computing system using the CDTK.
