  • In the existing robot programming methods, off-line method becames important role of programming because of improvement of hardware and software of PC. The purpose of this study is to develop practical robot programming system for polishing task using PC. In the first place, we have investigated the existing robot programming systems, and derived the requirement of this programming system from the existing systems. And we have decided the structure of this system. After that, we have developed this system. Using Windows software, this programming system has man/machine interface function. So users can use easily and quickly.

웹 기반의 로봇 프로그래밍 교육 지원 시스템 개발 (Development of Web-based Robot Programming Education Supporting System)

  • 기존의 프로그래밍 교육은 방법상의 문제로 그 효과에 한계를 나타냈다. 이에 본 연구에서는 웹 기반의 로봇 프로그래밍 지원 시스템 개발을 통해 기존 프로그래밍 교육의 문제점을 극복하고 궁극적으로 창의력과 문제해결력을 신장시킬 수 있는 가능성을 탐색하였다. 개발된 시스템은 인터넷이 지원되는 PC 또는 PDA만 갖추면 별도의 HW, SW 없이도 로봇 프로그래밍 학습을 할 수 있도록 해준다. 서버에 연동된 여러 종류의 로봇을 서로 다른 프로그래밍 언어로 제어할 수 있으며, 한글 키워드를 이용한 프로그래밍도 가능하다. 개발된 시스템은 기존 프로그래밍 교육의 문제점을 극복하는 데 도움을 줄 것으로 평가되었다. 특히, 컴퓨터에 대한 이해와 활용 능력이 우수한 집단과 초, 중급 프로그래밍 단계의 학습자가 개발된 시스템을 보다 긍정적으로 평가했다. 또한 로봇을 활용하는 프로그래밍 교육과 한글 프로그래밍 기능은 초등학생들에게 긍정적인 반응을 얻을 수 있었다.

Blockly webc 프로그래밍 융합 학습시스템 (Blockly webc Programming Convergent Learning System)

  • 프로그래밍 교육은 컴퓨터 관련학과 뿐만 아니라 공학과 자연과학분야에 걸쳐서 모두 요구되고 있다. 더욱이 최근에는 초등학교와 중등학교에서도 소프트웨어 교육의 중요한 부분으로 프로그래밍 교육이 강조되고 있다. 프로그래밍 능력은 국가의 경쟁력을 이루는 필수적인 요소로 이해되고 있어, 이를 위한 학습시스템이 요구되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 구글에서 개발한 Blockly graphic 툴을 이용해서 웹상에서 실행하는 webc 프로그래밍 융합 학습시스템을 구현하였다. 또 학습시스템 안에는 문제 중심의 학습에 이용할 수 있는 초보자용 문제세트가 내장되어 있다. 이 문제세트는 20여년 동안 현장에서 검증받은 문제들로 학습자들이 최단 시간 내에 초보를 탈출할 수 있게 해주는 문제세트 들이다. Blockly webc 프로그래밍 융합 학습시스템은 이미 개발된 Simple Visual Language2 프로그래밍 학습시스템과 함께 초보자를 위한 프로그래밍 학습시스템으로 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대된다.

NC파트 프로그래밍을 위한 전문가시스템 (An Expert System for NC Part Programming (ESPP-1))

  • An expert system for NC part programming of NC lathe (ESPP-1) is developed as a part of Computer-Adied Manufacturing system. Conventional computer-assisted part programming system essentially requires an NC part programmer who is an expert in NC part programming. But the developed ESSP-1 can allow an inexperienced person to make an excellent NC data for the NC Lathe without any problem, since the system has a knowledge base composed of EIA and ISO NC code, feed rate, spindle speed, machining coordinates selection, and tool selection etc., which were directly evoked from some skilled NC part programmers, and referenced some machining handbooks. This paper discusses the algorithm of the expert system for NC part programming of the NC lathe (ESPP-1) and the performance comparisons between the developed expert system and the conventional system.

Fuzzy programming for improving redundancy-reliability allocation problems in series-parallel systems

  • Redundancy-reliability allocation problems in multi-stage series-parallel systems are addressed in this study. Fuzzy programming techniques are proposed for finding satisfactory solutions. First, a multi-objective programming model is formulated for simultaneously maximizing system reliability and minimizing system total cost. Due to the nature of uncertainty in the problem, the fuzzy set theory and technique are used to convert the deterministic multi-objective programming model into a fuzzy nonlinear programming problem. A heuristic method is developed to get satisfactory solutions for the fuzzy nonlinear programming problem. A Pareto optimal solution is found with maximal degree of satisfaction from the interception area of fuzzy sets. A case study that is related to the electronic control unit installed on aircraft engine over-speed protection system is used to implement the developed approach. Results suggest that the developed fuzzy multi-objective programming model can effectively resolve the fuzzy and uncertain problem when design goals and constraints are not clearly confirmed at the initial conceptual design phase.

선반용 대화형 프로그래밍 시스템(I) (Conversational Programming System for NC Lathes (I))

  • A conversational programming system for turning processes was studied to enhance the user friendliness of a NC Lathe by adopting man-machine interface functions through Delphi programming tool under the Windows 95 environment. Functions of tool collision checking were developed through zone limitation algorithms. Final shape of workpiece was generated by means of tree structure algorithm. Shop floor programming performance was incorporated in the developed CAM module. In order to increase flexibility of the man-machine interface, graphic based programming tools have been developed. A NC turning machine equipped with an open architecture PCNC was used as a test bed of the system. Performance of the system was verified through case studies.

  • An Enhanced Shopfloor Oriented Programming(AESOP) system is developed as a programming utillity of the CNC turning machine. The developed system is specially designed to give a beginner the convenience for CNC part programming with graphical interaction between a machine operator and the AESOP system. The combination of process-oriented cycles and various contour programming as well as an immediate tool path verification support the easiness and swiftness of a part program generation in the shopfloor. Since the AESOP system has been designed to operate on the basis of MS-Windows in the PC-embedded CNC system, it is also useful for the training of the part programming by utilizing provailing personal computers in the educational department.

  • With the progress in process automation, it becomes necessary that a robot should have various sophisticated capabilities. A robot programming language is a tool that can give a robot such capabilities without any change in robot architecture. Especially a task level automatic programming system enables a robot able to perform a job intelligently. Therefore anyone who is not an expert on welding or robot programming can easily use it. In this research, basic automatic welding program is combined with workspace information, which makes users do an arc welding job automatically.
