붕괴방지 수준을 고려한 국내 고층 아파트의 성능기반 내진설계 (Performance-Based Seismic Design of High-rise Apartment Buildings in Korea Considering Collapse Prevention Level)

  • The objective of this study is to apply performance-based seismic design to high-rise apartment buildings in Korean considering collapse prevention level. The possible issues during its application were studied and the suggestions were made based on the findings from the performance-based seismic design of a building with typical residential multi-unit layout. The lateral-force-resisting system of the building is ordinary shear walls system with a code exception of height limit. In order to allow the exception, the serviceability and the stability of the ordinary shear wall structure need to be evaluated to confirm that it has the equivalent performance as the one designed under the Korean Building Code 2009. The structure was evaluated whether it satisfied its performance objectives to withstand Service Level and Maximum Considered Earthquake.

경력개발시스템 경력단계별 수술실 간호사 업무수행능력 비교 (Comparison of Nursing Performance by Career Levels in a Nurse Career Ladder System)

  • Purpose: This study was to compare nursing performance by career levels in a career ladder system. Methods: This survey was conducted with 140 OR staff nurses. Ten unit managers evaluated their own staff with a performance evaluation tool composed of 51 items. Data were analyzed by frequency, t-test, one-way ANOVA, ${\chi}^2$-test, and ANCOVA. Results: In career level CN II, nursing performance showed differences by personal characteristics. However, there was no significant difference in level CN III. CN IIIs' nursing performance was significantly higher than CN IIs' in all domains. Nursing performance of CN III was significantly higher than CN IIs' in 5 to 10 years of clinical experience. Although there was no significant difference in other clinical experience groups, CN IIIs' scores were always higher than CN IIs' Conclusion: The results indicate that nursing performance improves with career ladder advancement. Organizations should encourage advancement to higher levels and eliminate obstacles.

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the RFID recognition performance by level of water. A 13.56 MHz RFID management system for packaged liquid food logistics is consisted of antenna, reader, passive type tags, and embedded controller. The tests were conducted at different level of water, distances between tag and antenna, and position of attached tags. To analyze the RFID recognition performance, maximum recognition distances for a container and recognition rates for a logistics made of 27 containers were measured and analyzed. The maximum recognition distance for a container was different depending on position of attached tags, and attached tag at upside position showed a good performance. But, the recognition rate of 27 containers showed a good ability for attached tags at front side position, 30~35 cm distance to antenna, and water level 1. Therefore, to manage packaged liquid food logistics using RFID system, position of attached tag, distances between tag and antenna, and level of water should be considered.

MRO e-Marketplace의 지배구조와 구매업무성과에 관한 종단적 연구 (A Longitudinal Study on the Effects of the Governance Structure of MRO e-Marketplace on Purchasing Performance)

  • This study focuses on MRO e-Marketplace and attempts to research how companies select the structure of e-Marketplace governance and how it influences purchasing performance. Furthermore, a longitudinal study is conducted to analyze the dynamic relationship between variables in our research model. The research gives the following results. First, as the utilization level of e-Marketplace increases, the level of relational exchange between purchasing company and e-Marketplace increases. The increased utilization level enhances purchasing efficiency rather than reducing purchasing price. Secondly, as the level of relational exchange between purchasing companies and e-Marketplace increases, system integration increases, whereas supply externality decreases. Accordingly, system integration improves purchasing efficiency, whereas the low supply externality does not help lower purchasing price. Third, compared to the initial growth stage, the stable stage of e-Marketplace has the significantly increased level of relational exchange and purchasing efficiency through system integration, rather than the reduction of purchasing price by supply externality.

System-level Function and Architecture Codesign for Optimization of MPEG Encoder

  • The advanced in semiconductor, hardware, and software technologies enables the integration of more com- plex systems and the increasing design complexity. As system design complexity becomes more complicated, System-level design based on the If block and processor model is more needed in most of the RTL level or low level. In this paper, we present a novel approach fur the system-level design, which satisfies the various required constraints and an optimization method of image encoder based on codesign of function, algorithm, and architecture. In addition, we show an MPEG-4 encoder as a design case study. The best tradeoffs between algorithm and architecture are necessary to deliver the design with satisfying performance and area constraints. The evaluations provide the effective optimization of motion estimation, which is in charge of an amount of performance in the MPEG-4 encoder module.

SCM과 SCME채널 모형의 비교와 MIMO 시스템 레벨 성능에 미치는 영향 (SCM and SCME Channel Models and Their Impacts on MIMO System Level Performance)

  • 본 논문에서는 SCM(Spatial Channel Model)채널과 그것의 확장 모형인 SCME(Spatial Channel Model Extended)채널 모형의 차이를 비교하고, MIMO 시스템 레벨 성능에 미치는 영향을 모의실험을 통해 살펴본다. 모의실험은 SCM과 SCME채널 모형을 이용했을 때의 사용자의 개수 변화와 Drifting Time의 변화에 따른 시스템레벨 성능의 변화를 관찰하기 위해 수행한다. Mid-path에 대한 영향으로 SCME 채널 모형이 SCM채널 모형보다 채널 이득의 변화가 크기 때문에 사용자의 변화에 따른 시스템 레벨 성능은 SCME채널이 더 좋다. 그리고, SCM 채널 모형보다 SCME채널 모형이 Drifting영향으로 인해 채널의 변화가 더 크기 때문에 이 영향에 의한 시스템레벨 성능이 SCME의 경우 역시 더 좋아진다.

고성과작업시스템과 운영성과 간 관계: 다수준분석을 통한 종업원성과의 매개역할을 중심으로 (High Performance Work System and Operational Performance: Focusing on a Mediating Role of Employee Performance)

  • 본 연구는 자원기반관점을 기초로 고성과작업시스템-종업원성과-운영성과 간 관계를 실증적으로 검증하고자 하였다. 조직수준의 고성과작업시스템과 개인수준의 종업원 태도 간 실증분석을 위해 위계적 선형모형(hierarchical linear modeling)을 활용한 다수준분석을 실시하여 인과관계의 정확성을 높였다. 이를 위해, 제3차 인적자원기업패널(HCCP: Human Capital Corporate Panel) 데이터 가운데 316개 기업과 7,872명(팀장 923명 포함)의 응답자를 대상으로, 고성과작업시스템이 개인수준인 종업원성과에 미치는 영향을 확인하였다. 이후, 분석수준을 일치시키기 위해 개인수준(종업원성과)과 팀수준(운영성과)의 패널자료를 조직수준으로 집산(aggregation)하여 타당화 검증을 실시하고, 조직수준에서 매개효과를 검증하였다. 그 결과, 고성과작업시스템은 종업원성과(직무만족, 조직몰입, 신뢰)와 운영성과에 각각 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 종업원성과 개별변수의 매개효과 검증에서는 직무만족과 신뢰가 고성과작업시스템과 운영성과 간 관계를 매개하는 것으로 나타났다. 결론에는 연구의 결과, 이론적 시사점 및 한계점을 제시하고 있다.

A two-level parallel algorithm for material nonlinearity problems

  • An efficient two-level domain decomposition parallel algorithm is suggested to solve large-DOF structural problems with nonlinear material models generating unsymmetric tangent matrices, such as a group of plastic-damage material models. The parallel version of the stabilized bi-conjugate gradient method is developed to solve unsymmetric coarse problems iteratively. In the present approach the coarse DOF system is solved parallelly on each processor rather than the whole system equation to minimize the data communication between processors, which is appropriate to maintain the computing performance on a non-supercomputer level cluster system. The performance test results show that the suggested algorithm provides scalability on computing performance and an efficient approach to solve large-DOF nonlinear structural problems on a cluster system.

SSD의 PC적용을 위한 시스템 수준의 환경 구축 (Establishment of System Level environment to apply SSD to PC)

  • In this paper, we propose a establishment of system level environment to exploit PC system with SSD (Solid State Disk) by using TLM (Transaction Level Modeling) method with SystemC language. The reason why we choose this modeling method is that it eases RTL (Register Transfer Level) modeling burdens and we can accurately estimate the performance about different architectural changes. Also, it provides simulation speed which is relatively faster than RTL modeling method. The baseline architectural platform we implemented showed that SSD's internal transfer time is a dominant factor, so we need to improve that part and it is expected to be a good simulator to measure the system's overall performance by exploiting SSD's internal architectures.

철도건널목 지능화시스템 시범 구축 (Pilot Implementation of Intelligence System for Accident Prevention at Railway Level Crossing)

  • The intelligent safety system for level crossing which employs information and communication technology has been developed in USA and Japan, etc. But, in Korea, the relevant research has not been performed. In this paper, we analyze the cause of railway level crossing accidents and the inherent problem of the existing safety equipments. Based on analyzed results, we design the intelligent safety system which prevent collision between a train and a vehicle. This system displays train approaching information in real-time at roadside warning devices, informs approaching train of the detected obstacle in crossing areas, and is interconnected with traffic signal to empty the crossing area before train comes. Especially, we present the video based obstacle detection algorithm and verify its performance with prototype H/W since the abrupt obstacles in crossing areas are the main cause of level crossing accidents. We identify that the presented scheme detects both pedestrian and vehicle with good performance. Currently, we demonstrate developed railway crossing intelligence system at one crossing of Young-dong-seon line of Korail with Sea Train cockpit.
