In the calendar and the advertising catalog, the surface is usually coated by coating polypropylene film. The delamination failure of coating film depends on surface roughness and quality of the substrate paper. In this paper, the mechanisms of delamination failure between the coating film and the paper is investigated by using the root cause analysis as one of techniques of reliability evaluation. The papers used in failure analysis are three kind products made by two domestic and one foreign companies. It found that the main causes of delamination failure between the coating film and the paper were the creation of microvoids caused by shape of filler and their growth caused by contraction of paper.

The purpose of this study is to identify how users react with the search options and bibliographic information during search reformulation on the online catalog. Two online catalogs(N0TIS system and Dynix system) were selected and undergraduate students were recruited as the participants for this study. The study shows that the search options and bibliographic information affected the type of the query reformulation and the re-choice of the search options during search.

As the level of maunfacturing system automation increases, the issues of modeling and simulation of AMS(Automated Manufacturing System) are becoming more important. Proposed in this paper is the JR-Net(Job Resource relation-Net) modeling framework which naturally mimics the process of designing an AMS by FA(Factory Automation) engineers. Its main purpose is to provide a modeling tool which facilitate modeling work of AMS for FA engineers unfamiliar with simulation modeling. The proposed modeling scheme is based on the extensive observation that typical AMSs are built from the set of 'standard' components(or catalog items). As an application of the proposed model, two real examples of FMS('G7'FMS model plant, RPI FMS) are modeled by JR-Net, and in case of FMS model plant, a simulation program development procedure using JR-Net modeling results is explained. Finally, simulation result of FMS model plant is analyzed.

Hydraulic systems of injection molding machine are modelled and simulated with AMESim which is a commercial program. Detail models of hydraulic components are simulated and simulation results are evaluated with maker's test results in catalog. Sub system models which is divided according to functional operation are made and its analysis results shows how design parameters work on operational characteristics like cylinder speed, cylinder displacement, pressure, flow rates at each node and so on. Total circuit model is also made and analyzed. The prediction made by simulation will be used design of hydraulic systems of injection molding machine.

It is necessary to construct equipment catalog in ship outfitting design and offshore plant design. The three-dimensional CAD data of equipment take on different level-of-detail depending on the purpose. Equipment suppliers provide CAD data with high complexity while ship designers need CAD data with low complexity. Therefore, it is necessary to simplify CAD data. However, it takes much time to simplify them manually. To resolve the issue, a system for automatically simplifying the 3D CAD data of equipment was developed. This paper presents the architecture of the system and the implementation details. In addition, experiment result using the prototype system is explained.

The purpose of this paper is to investigate the three aspects of the construction and common use of old document DB in the foreign countries: i) the processing of old documents, ii) the problem and improvement of DB systems of old documents. and iii) the common use of old document DB. Results from this research are as follows: The National Library of Korea(NLK) copied old documents in the foreign countries from 1982 to 2006 and published the brief catalog. The Reogang Publishing company issued four volumes catalogs of old document in Japan. The National Research Institute of Cultural Heritage(NRICH) investigated old books and published some catalogs of several organizations in Japan. America. France. and all. The National Institute of Korean History(NIKH) investigated old archives and published some catalogs of several organizations in Japan. The characteristics of the Korean Old and Rare Collection Information System(KORCIS) of the NLK, the Old Books Cultural Heritage in Overseas System of the NRICH. and the Korea History DB System and MF Catalog/ Image System of NIKH were described in the DB systems of old documents, the problems of DB systems were checked over and some alternatives were suggested. In the common use of old document DB, KORMARC format and description rules(draft) for archives should be revised to adopt a new standard such as KS editions. and all the institutes involved should thoroughly follow the standards. when creating bibliographic records and digitizing texts. It is necessary to educate and train the specialists of old documents. A government organization should be established to supervise all the procedures of developing technology for sharing digitized resources. using contents. and cooperating with the related internationl organizations and institutes.

This paper describes design and implementation of the system that is used to efficiently retrieve music information at a digital music library. Unlike typical music information retrieval systems, this system allows the user to sing a part of the melody through the microphone which he/she wants to find rather than using title, composer or the subject catalog to search. The system then recognizes the musical notes information through the signal processing of the sounds of the entered melody, and the intervals contour is created based on this information and used as a search pattern. By running the proposed notes string search algorithm that uses the musical notes information processed with the user input, and it produces the approximate search results. Therefore, users are able to retrieve and appreciate the music whenever he/she can sing any portion of the desired music.

In this study, an ILL request system was implemented using Z39.50 item order extended service. ILL requests in this system are initiated by users through a gateway acting as a Z39.50 origin for searching remote catalog databases. When users initiate a request while searching OPACs of other libraries, an extended service request PDU for item order is first sent to the home library which subsequently generates an ILL protocol message to be sent to the target library. This approach enables users to request an item online while searching. and at the same time allows the home library to retain control over the ILL transaction.

The purpose of this study is to propose a W3C standard, DCAT, to manage and service dataset that is becoming increasingly important as new knowledge information resources. To do this, we first analyzed the class and properties of the four core classes of DCAT. In addition, I modeled and presented a system that can manage and service various data sets based on DCAT in digital library. The system is divided into source data, data set management, linked data connection, and user service. Especially, the DCAT mapping function is suggested in dataset management. This feature can ensure interoperability of various datasets.

In There are inventoried 308 eclipsing systems among 1,158 multiple systems listed in Tokovinin (1997, 2007)'s multiple system catalog. Their characteristics of (O-C) variations for 83 systems among the 308 systems, which have timings of minimum lights enough to see the trends of their period changes, were investigated with the Kreiner, Kim and Nha (2001)'s recent database of times of minimum lights of eclipsing binaries. It is found that the (O-C) variations for 39 systems, corresponding to 47% of the investigated 83 systems, does not show any anticipated light-time effects (hereafter LITE) at all. Among the rest 44 systems 7 systems with apsidal motion also have a single LITE. Only 6 systems have a single LITE or double LITEs. The rest 31 systems show a secular variation superposed on a single or double or more LITEs or very complicated variation patterns. Some possible explanations for their diverse differentiation of variation are discussed.
