유한요소법에 의한 흡음재 음향특성 연구 및 검증 (Finite Element analysis of Acoustic Behavior of Absorbent Materials with experimental Verification)

  • Acoustic materials are used for the purpose of absorbing noise and reducing transmission of sound into the receiving room. The purpose of this research is to predict the performance of absorbent materials with respect to absorbing behavior and transmission loss as possible as accurately. The performance of the absorbent materials are carried out systematically as follows: The Biot parameter are measured, first. Then using above parameters as input, LMS's SYSNOISE and VIOLINS programs are used to predict absorption coefficient and transmission loss values, which magnitudes are compared with experimental results. As an sample acoustic material, SK SKY VIVA and PET are selected.

  • This study is on acoustic radiation efficiency of a tiffened cylindrical model in water-multi-excitation with phase difference using commercial numerical program ABAQUS and SYSNOISE. When the stiffened cylindrical model is under multi-excitation with phase difference, the surface vibration field is variated with phase difference of excitation. By this different surface vibration field, the acoustic radiation efficiency is also variated with phase difference of excitation.

흡음 외장재 부착에 따른 교량 주변 음향 특성 해석 (Analysis on the Acoustical Characteristics for Arrounding of Bridge by Absortion Panel Attatchment)

  • For the purpose of finding out the acoustical characteristics of exterior materials in bridge, analytical studies are performed with boundary elements method by using the commercial program SYSNOISE. Before analysis, to figure out material property, it was conducted experiments of absorption coefficient for absorptive material. And prediction of pressure were conducted I GIRDER type (before & after installation of absorption panel ) and BOX GIRDER type (before & after installation of absorption panel) The results show that when the absorption panel is installed, environment around bridge can help reduce traffic noise. It was proved to be the effective noise reduction counter-plan for a traffic noise in the bridges.

  • This paper investigates the noise transmission performance of industrial mufflers widely used in ships based on the CAE modeling and simulation. Since the industrial mufflers have very complicated internal structures, the conventional Transfer Matrix Method (TMM) is of limited use. The CAE modeling and simulation is therefore required to incorporate commercial softwares: CATIA for geometry modeling, MSC/PATRAN for FE meshing and LMS/SYSNOISE for analysis. Main sources of difficulties in this study are led by complicated arrangement of reactive elements, perforated walls and absorption materials. The reactive elements and absorbent materials are modeled by applying boundary conditions given by impedance. The perforated walls are modeled by applying the transfer impedance on the duplicated node mesh. The CAE approach presented in this paper is verified by comparing with the theoretical solution of a concentric-tube resonator and is applied for industrial mufflers.

  • CD-ROM Drives Rotating high speed as 10000 rpm cause serious noise and vibration problems. At the high speed, dominant noise is Air Borne Noise produced from high-speed airflow and Structure Borne Noise produced from structural vibration. In this research, vibration and sound characteristics in CD-ROM Drive were studied by the use of experimental analysis and computational simulation. Sound intensity techniques and ODS(Operational Deflection Shape) techniques are applied to identify the acoustic noise source of CD-ROM drive. And Computational simulation using SYSNOISE is conducted for describing the noise behavior.

  • 본 연구에서는 1000Hz 미만의 저주파 대역에서 음향방사 특성을 향상시키기 위한 새로운 형태의 음향 변환기를 연구하였다. 이 음향 변환기는 세 개의 혼을 직렬의 조합으로 연결한 형태를 띄고 있고 설계상에 필요한 계산을 위해 혼 방정식에 근거해 간단한 모델을 개발했다. 음향 발생을 위한 변환기로써 원형판에 얇은 압전체를 붙인 작동기를 사용하였다. 제안된 음향 변환기는 개발된 모델을 통해 설계되었고 실험을 위해 제작되었다. 제안된 음향 변환기의 성능은 실험과 수치해석을 통해 검증하였다 음향 해석 프로그램인 SYSNOISE를 이용한 수치해석과 실험에 근거한 결과는 제안된 음향변환기가 600Hz 미만의 주파수 대역에서 5-30dB의 음압을 발생시키는 것을 보여준다.

  • A PC-based analysis and design system of exhaust muffler is described. It makes use of software packages such as Sysnoise and STAR-CD to calculate transmission loss(TL) and back pressure. The system is applied to redesign a main muffler of passenger car to improve its performance. The effects of design parameters on acoustic and pressure loss characteristics are examined. Taguchi method Is used to determine optimal combination of parameters which affects muffler performances such as TL and back pressure. Three models are chosen and compared in laboratory bench test and engine dynamometer test to prove their performances.

  • This paper proposed a method of reducing a noise in hard disk drive. This method is performed through three parts of procedures. First procedure is sound-oriented experiment, which contains sound intensity techniques and measurements of sound pressure level and sound power. Second is vibration-oriented experiment, which contains FRF(Frequency Response Function) analysis and disk vibration reduction techniques. And the third is computer-oriented simulation, which contains modal analysis and force vibration analysis using ANSYS and sound radiation prediction using SYSNOISE. As these three parts can affect with each other, they should be considered and conducted simultaneously. Through this procedure sound power is measured 2.7 Bels in idle-spinning mode, which is the lowest noise level in the HDD industries.

세탁기 모터다이의 방사음 저감을 위한 설계해석 (The Design Analysis for the Reduction of Radiated Sound from the Motor-die in Washing Machine)

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the dynamic characteristics of a motor-die in washing machine and provide quantitative design information needed for reduction of radiated sound from the motor-die. To perform the design analysis, dynamic characteristics are identified by motor-die modeling and the availability of model is verified by experimental modal analysis. Numerical approach using MSC/NASTRAN and SYSNOISE predicted sound attenuation effects according to the change of design parameters, such as thickness, concentrated mass and rib. The numerical results due to the rib attachment showed the significant noise attenuation effects over 15 dB in the frequency range of 450∼700 Hz.

  • Acoustic modes of internal region of 4-hp scroll compressor are identified by measuring transfer functions between a reference and 84 measuring points. The corresponding acoustic mode-shapes and natural frequencies were calculated by analysis software SYSNOISE. There exist two clearly distinguishable dipole modes of vertical and horizontal direction and a single quadrupole mode in the frequency region of interest. It shows that the natural frequencies of the identified modes are linearly sensitive to suction pressure (Ps) but relatively in sensitive to discharge pressure (Pd) in operating condition.
