Two 6'-substituted dobutamine analogues (1, 2) were synthesized from the coupling reaction of dopamine with the corresponding ketones. The ketone (8) was obtained from 4-nitrosalicyladehyde via 6 synthetic steps while the ketone (12) was prepared from 2-methyl-5-nitrobenzoic acid via 7 synthetic steps. Another synthetic attempts were also reported.

This paper introduces two different current differencing buffered amplifier (CDBA)-based synthetic floating inductance circuits. Both configurations use a grounded capacitor. They are fully integrable and provide the advantages of electronic tuning.

The BINSYN program package, recently expanded to calculate synthetic spectra of cataclysmic variables, is being further extended to include synthetic photometry of ordinary binary stars in addition to binary stars with optically thick accretion disks. The package includes a capability for differentials correction optimization of eclipsing binary systems using synthetic photometry.

외부 자기장이 spin-flip field보다 작은 조건 하에서 마이크로 사이즈로 패턴된 synthetic antiferromanet의 ferromagnetic resonance frequency를 표현할 수 있는 이론식을 유도했다. 또한 유도된 이론식을 통해 synthetic antiferromagnet의 기하학적, 자기적 성질이 ferromagnetic resonance frequency가 미치는 영향에 대해 연구했다.

For the purpose of reducing defects (cracking) in topping concretes cast as artificial greening layer base, synthetic macro fibers were mixed. The flexural strength of synthetic macro fiber mixed topping concretes was tested via comparing its performance with current topping concrete. According to the results of the testing, topping concrete with adjusted mixing ratio after mixing with 1kg of synthetic macro fiber showed approximately 15% higher flexural strength compared to the current topping concrete.

The physical properties of NR-SBR and NR-BR blends were studied. 1. In blending, tensile strength decreased with increase in synthetic rubber contents. It was most effective when the ratio of NR/Syn. R is 75/25. 2. Tensile strength decreased with order of NR, SBR and BR and modulus after aging is proportional of synthetic rubber contents. 3. Elongation is less influenced by synthetic rubber ratio that on the other hand, the decrease of elongation is proportional to synthetic rubber contents after aging. 4. Hardness decreased with increase in the synthetic rubber contents and on the other hand, the hardness increased after aging.

Mex67p/Tap are evolutionally conserved mRNA export factors. To identify mutations in genes that are functionally linked to mex67 with respect to mRNA export, we used a synthetic lethal genetic screen in Schizosaccharomyces pombe. Three synthetic lethal mutants were isolated and mutations in these mutants defined separate complementation groups. These mutants exhibited the accumulation of poly A$\^$+/ RNA in the nucleus, with a decrease in the cytoplasm under synthetically lethal conditions, suggesting that the mutations cause an mRNA nuclear export defect. In addition, the S. pombe genes that were found to be involved in mRNA export did not suppress the synthetic lethality of these mutants. These results indicate that the isolated mutants contain mutations in new genes, which are involved in mRNA export from the nucleus.
