동기릴럭턴스전동기의 전류센서리스 제어 성능 고찰 (Considerations on the Performance of Current Sensorless Control of a Synchronous Reluctance Motor)

  • Some works about the current sensorless control of a synchronous reluctance motor have been presented. However, there is no analysis about the performance and the detuning effect of the current sensorless control. This paper presents the problems and the detuning effect of the current sensorless control of a synchronous reluctance motor by simulation results. In addition, torque limiter is proposed to limit the torque current within the torque limit.

  • The construction of a Synchronous Reluctance Motor (SynRM) is simple and also highly economical because a stator from the existing AC motor can be used. Since the synchronous inductance in the Synchronous Reluctance Motor is an element that is proportional to torque, its exact value must be experimentally or analytically found for accurate control and performance development of the motor. In this paper, direct torque control (DTC) simulation is carried out to maximize the torque of the Synchronous Reluctance Motor and the fast response characteristics with the inductance value by the Finite Element Method (FEM). The response characteristics are compared through the proposed direct torque control and torque response characteristics that are based on the existing PI Control in order to confirm the fast response features. To test the performance of the direct torque controller, the torque response is analyzed with variable speed and load condition.

  • Reluctance torque is generated by the rotor of the rugged construction in Synchronous Reluctance Motor. Its construction is simple, and it is very economic because a rotor in existed AC motor can be used. As the Synchronous inductance in Synchronous Reluctance Motor is an element that is proportional to torque, the exact value must be experimentally or analytically found for controlling and the performance development of motors. In this paper, direct torque control simulation to maximize the torque of the Synchronous Reluctance Motor and fast response characteristics was carried out with the inductance value by the Finite Element Method. For the simulation results, there are torques and fluxs response characteristics when controlling speed.

  • This paper deals with optimum design criteria to minimize the torque ripple of a concentrated winding Synchronous Reluctance Motor(SynRM) using Response Surface Methodology(RSM). The feasibility of using RSM with the finite element method(FEM) in practical engineering problem is investigated with omputational examples and comparison between the fitted response and the results obtained from an analytical solution according to the design variables of stator and rotor in concentrated winding SynRM(6slot). The focus of this paper is the efficiency evaluation on the basis of load condition in a Concentrated Winding Synchronous Reluctance Motor and distributed Winding Synchronous Reluctance Motor.

Magnetic Saturation Effect on the Rotor Core of Synchronous Reluctance Motor

  • This paper presents a study on the design parameters that consider the magnetic saturation effect in a rotor core of a synchronous reluctance motor. Two important design parameters in a rotor are selected to analyze the saturation effect of a synchronous reluctance motor, particularly in a rotor core. The thickness of the main segment, which is the main path of the d-axis flux, and the end rip, which affects the q-axis flux, are analyzed using the d-axis and q-axis inductances. Moreover, the characteristics of torque and torque ripple when magnetic saturation takes place are analyzed. The saturation effect is verified by comparing the reluctance torque between the experiment and FEM simulation.

  • 본 논문에서는 세탁기용으로 사용될 영구자석형 릴럭턴스 동기전동기(permanent-magnet assisted reluctance synchronous motor : PMA-RSM)의 설계와 특성에 대해서 살펴본다. 제안된 PMA-RSM의 특성과 최대 토크 특성을 알아보기 위해서 유한 요소법(finite element method)을 이용 하였다. 저속 구간에서의 충분한 토크를 발생시키기 위해서 회전자의 구조는 릴럭턴스 토크를 만들어내는 돌극 구조와 회전자 내부의 공극에 영구자석을 삽입하는 구조로 구성되어 있다. 전형적인 자속 장벽형(Flux barrier type) 릴럭턴스 동기전동기(RSM : Reluctance Synchronous Motor)와 자속 장벽(Flux barrier)에 자석을 삽입한 경우에 발생되는 현상들에 대해서 비교 분석하고, 또한 제안된 PMA-RSM의 릴럭턴스 토크(reluctance torque)와 자석에 의한 자석 토크(magnetic alignment torque)가 서로 최대가 되는 시점을 시뮬레이션을 통하여 구하며, 그 결과를 이용하여 전동기의 특성, 평균토크 그리고 토크 리플에 대해서 유한 요소법을 통하여 살펴보았다.

  • 본 논문은 직접 토오크 제어 (Direct Torque control, DTC)를 이용한 릴럭턴스 동기전동기 (Reluctance Synchronous Motor, RSM)의 최대 효율 제어에 관한 연구이다. 릴럭턴스 동기전동기의 등가모델 해석에 있어서 철손의 영향을 고려하여 이론적으로 분석하였으며, 최대효율제어를 위하여 토크 전류와 여자전류 사이의 최적 각을 유도하였다. 릴럭턴스 동기전동기의 경우는 자속이 전류에 비례하므로 유도전동기와는 달리 자속레벨을 제어하면서 토오크의 동특성을 유지할 수 있다는 특징을 가지고 있으며, 제시된 연구에서는 릴럭턴스 동기전동기의 이러한 특징을 적용하여 직접 토오크 제어의 장점인 빠른 토오크 응답특성을 유지하면서 최대 효율 제어가 이루어지도록 한다. d/q 릴럭턴스 비가 2.57인 1.0 Kw 릴럭턴스 동기전동기를 이용하여 실험을 통해 제안된 방법들의 정당성을 입증하였다.

  • This paper reports the development of an analysis method in a synchronous reluctance motor (SynRM) using the finite element method (FEM) coupled with the electromagnetic field of the Preisach model, which represents an additional thermal source due to hysteresis loss and a thermal field. This study focused on thermal analysis relative to hysteresis and copper losses in a SynRM.

  • This study investigates the hysteresis phenomena of a Synchronous Reluctance Motor (SynRM) using coupled FEM and Preisach modeling. Preisach's model, which allows accurate prediction of hysteresis, is adopted in this procedure to provide a nonlinear solution. the computer simulation and experimental result for the i$\lambda$loci show the propriety of the proposed method.

  • The paper deals with the control of the synchronous reluctance machine without position senser. A method for the computation of the transformation angle out of terminal voltages and currents is presented. The injection of test signals allows operation at zero speed. Fundamental for this control scheme is the angle estimation method over the whole operating range including field-weakening is discussed in detail. The implementation of the angle estimation method in a rotor-oriented control scheme and practical results are demonstrated.
