  • This paper introduces that the lathe optimize for main and sub spindle's synchronous in Opening-CNC. In view of optimal design, the mathematical modelling and the frequency domain analysis of spindle's system are performed. For the compensation of synchronous error in compounded manufacture process, the optimization method of motor drive's control parameter and the related parameter is proposed. By the experiment in prototype machines using the server/client program, the validity of the proposed method is verified.

  • The Synchronous inductance in Synchronous Reluctance Motor is an element that is proportional to torque. the exact value must be found for controlling and the performance development of motors. In this paper, the inductances that are obtained by the Finite Element Method and AC standstill Test are compared each other. When controlling the direct torque. the fast response characteristics has been carried out with the inductace by the AC stanstill Test. To test the proposal controller, A Synchronous Reluctance Motor has been designed and manufactured and the adequacy of the proposal control are confirmed thought simulations and experiments.

  • In this study, a novel rotor position sensorless estimation method of an interior permanent-magnet synchronous motor is proposed. A square-wave pulsating voltage signal is injected in the estimated synchronous reference frame. This signal is interpreted in the stationary reference frame regardless of the estimated rotor position. Thus, assuming that the position error is nearly zero is unnecessary because the variables in the estimated synchronous reference frame are not used. The rotor position can be exactly calculated from two voltage references and three sampled current feedbacks in the stationary reference frame. The proposed method is easy to implement and helps enhance the bandwidth of the current controller. The validity of the proposed method is verified by simulations and experiments.

  • The MOSFET synchronous rectification in the Active-Clamp Forward converter is presented. The Active-Clamp Forward converter has little dead time during the off time of the main switch and it is suitable for the MOSFET synchronous rectification comparing to the other Forward converter topologics. Using the MOSFET synchronous rectification on the Active-Clamp Forward converter with 3.3[V] output and 500[kHz] switching frequency, the improvement of efficiency is achieved comparing with the conventional Schottky barrier diode rectification.

  • This study investigates the dynamic characteristics of Synchronous Reluctance Motor (SynRM), with segmental rotor structure, using finite element method in which the moving mesh technique is considered. The focus of this paper is the efficiency of on-line parameter identification system for position sensorless control of a SynRM considering saturation and iron loss. Comparisons are given with angle of the observer and those of proposed FEM & Preisach model of synchronous reluctance motor, respectively. The position sensorless control using identified motor parameters is realized, and the efficiency of the on-line parameter identification system is verified by experimental results.

  • This paper provides experimental results of an excitation control system of the synchronous generator on board ships in accordance with rules of classification society to make sure its performance. The experiment compares and reviews control results between PID control and fuzzy logic control applied to change of loads of the generator in order to make sure to satisfy the rules of classification society. Both of them are written by Labview program. In case of PID Control, this paper firstly adjusts the gains by ultimate sensitive method and the gains is more tuned by engineer's experience. And the fuzzy logic controller uses Mamdani method to make membership function for error between reference voltage and measuring voltage, differential error rate and output voltage. This paper is to make sure the experimental results of the proposed excitation control system applied to actual small synchronous generator with PID control and fuzzy logic written by using Labview program and it is proved on stability and improvement through experiments.

  • The output voltage of a synchronous generator is regulated constantly by field current control of excitation system. Synchronous generator exciter has two type, first one is Drop control type by thyristor and second one is exciter current control type through power output by PWM control. Control method of the second one prevails, but when the power devices have a breakdown, output voltage of the generator rises rapidly. This exciter must have a protection circuit and system is complicated, so reliability is poor Excitation control type which is drop control type control only 10% of the power, so it can be improved precision. When a trouble come to the controller, output voltage of a generator don't rise excessively and the voltage rise about 10%, so it has a excellent reliability. This paper prove stability of the digital AVR.

  • In this paper, we propose cascade-form velocity controller for a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM). The proposed controller consists of a sliding-mode controller (SMC) for the inner current control loop and a model-predictive controller (MPC) for the outer velocity control loop. With SMC, we can ensure that the current tracking error always converges to zero in finite time. The SMC is designed to track the desired currents. Additionally, with MPC, we can obtain the optimal velocity control input which minimizes the cost function. Constraint conditions for input and input variation are included in the MPC design. The simulation results are included to validate the performance of the proposed controller.

  • Terminal voltage of the Automatic Voltage Regulator(AVR) of brushless synchronous generator is generally being controlled by PID Control way in shore and ship field. However, in case of changeable large load on power system, PID control method is deficiency to respond output voltage with settling time. Hence, taking into consideration this situation, it is required new control method. In this thesis, we propose Fuzzy Logic Control(FLC) which has more optimal robust control way in order to respond varying values of terminal voltage to the brushless synchronous generator through simulation of MATLAB/SIMULINK and prove Fuzzy logic control more optimal compared with PID control.
