Input Data Synchronization Scheme Based on Redundancy for IMA System (이중화 IMA 시스템의 입력 데이터 동기화 방안)

  • It is feasible to develop a fault tolerant system through module level redundancy on the Integrated Modular Avionics (IMA). However, its great implementation complexity is one of important challenges when asynchronous hardware environment is naturally assumed. To solve this problem, Physically Asynchronous Logically Synchronous (PALS) on IMA has been proposed. But, it has adaptation problem by not addressing specific architecture for IMA system. In the paper, we propose how to synchronize the input data on the IMA system under primary/secondary redundancy architecture by referring to existing PALS. In the proposed scheme, we introduce window frame by considering rate monotonic scheduling and analyze the adequate the synchronization time. Finally, we verify the feasibility of the proposed design pattern through the systematic experiments.

Design of USN Communication Protocol Using Individual Chaotic Systems (개별 혼돈 시스템을 이용한 USN 통신 프로토콜 설계)

  • In the construction of USN environment, the implementation of a safe sensor network using wireless communications can be said to be the most important factor in the entire system. Although USN communication uses wireless communications to enhance accessability and non-contact capability, this results in the security vulnerability, thus endangering the system. In this regard, we propose a security protocol that can be effectively applied to USN, a multi-sensor network. The proposed protocol is a method using an individual chaotic system, and it is a security protocol to synchronize the main chaotic system mounted on each sensor and prepared key values into the initial values, and to communicate with the use of the synchronized values as symmetric keys. The communication protocol proposed in this paper is expected to yield good results as a new method to resolve security problems of USN and program capacity limitations of sensor nodes if subsequent studies continue to be carried out.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a virtual CG - based image production system for a simulator camera. The video production system proposed in this study is designed to synchronize the virtual camera of the graphic tool with the simulator camera at the shooting site and the CG application image editing, And can be easily and easily performed through a graphic tool by being controlled virtually through a control interface. Blaze Knights, an animation created by Dongseo University, was used to illustrate the superiority of the research results by comparing the progress and the amount of work before and after the application of the system. According to the results of the research, the CG artist's work efficiency is increased, while the physical constraint is minimized when the scene of the CG application image is minimized.   • The role of sound in producing 3D animation clip is one of the important factor to maximize the immersive effects of the scene. Especially interaction between video and sound makes the scene expressions more apparent, which is diversely applied in video production. One of these interaction techniques, the out-focussing technique is frequently used in both real video and 3D animation field. But in 3D animation, out-focussing is not easily implemented as in music videos or explosion scenes in real video shots. This paper analyzes the sound data to synchronize the depth of field with it. The novel out-focussing technique is proposed, where the object's field of depth is controlled by beat rhythm in the sound data.

  • In this paper, we design a mobile camera processor to support the MIPI CSI-2 and DPHY specification. The lane management sub-layer of CIS2 handles multi-lane configuration. Thus conceptually, the transmitter and receiver have each independent buffer on multi lanes. In the proposed architecture, the independent buffers are merged into a single common buffer. The single buffer architecture can flexibly manage data on multi lanes though the number of supported lanes are mismatched in a camera processor transmitter and a host processor. For a key issue for the data synchronization problem, the synchronization start codes are added as the starting for image data. We design synchronization logic to synchronize the received clock and to generate the byte clock. We present the verification results under proposed test bench. And we show the waves of simulation and logic synthesis results of the designed processor.

Design of the Recovery Scheme for the Bidirectional Synchronization System on Mobile Environments (모바일 환경에서 양방향 동기화 시스템을 위한 회복 기법의 설계)

  • It is possible to synchronize the spatio-temporal data with a server using a wireless network. These data has the benefit to be up-to-date and able to service to the user efficiently. However, the mobile devices or the wireless network are very vulnerable to various hard or soft failures. If an failure occurs during a synchronization process, the spatio-temporal data which is synchronizing could be inconsistent state. In this paper, we propose the recovery scheme to solve the problem caused by the errors which occur during the synchronization on mobile environments. The proposed scheme writes the log records for the synchronization process into the both local storages of the server and the mobile client. When the errors arise, the data which are synchronizing are recovered using the written log records. Also, we design and implement the proposed recovery scheme on the synchronization system.

  • In general DGPS system, the correction message is transferred to users by wireless modem. To cover wide area, many DGPS station should be needed. And DGPS users must have a wireless modem that is not necessary in standalone GPS. But SBAS users don't need a wireless modem to receive DGPS corrections because SBAS correction message is transmitted from the GEO satellite by L1 frequency band. SBAS signal is generated in the GUS(Geo Uplink Subsystem) and uplink to the GEO satellite. This uplink transmission process causes two problems that are not existed in GPS. The one is a time delay in the uplink signal. The other is an ionospheric problem on uplink signal, code delay and carrier phase advance. These two problems cause ranging error to user. Another critical ranging error factor is clock synchronization. SBAS reference clock must be synchronized with GPS clock for an accurate ranging service. The time delay can be removed by close loop control. We propose uplink ionospheric error correcting algorithm for C/A code and carrier. As a result, the ranging accuracy increased high. To synchronize SBAS reference clock with GPS clock, I reviewed synchronization algorithm. And I modified it because the algorithm didn't consider doppler that caused by satellites' dynamics. SBAS reference clock synchronized with GPS clock in high accuracy by modified algorithm. We think that this paper will contribute to basic research for constructing satellite based DGPS system.

  • In this paper, we propose a group playback synchronization method using adaptive synchronization delay time by the bit rate of media to synchronize a play position of streaming media between mobile smart devices. This method consists of streaming server-side and client-side synchronization algorithms based on synchronization delay time which includes connection time, control packet transmission time, streaming data buffering time, and synchronization processing time. We implement the Android media player application with synchronization support using the proposed algorithms and present the result of performance evaluation.

  • Transcoding proxy strategy has been widely used as a means to reduce the delay in retrieving Web pages over wireless mobile data service networks. However, this strategy has the serious drawbacks of being a potential point of failure or a bottleneck of the service. We developed a distributed proxy server system in which multiple proxy servers are installed at geographically dispersed locations and share the workloads among them by serving mobile hosts only within assigned regions. A new handoff message protocol to enable handoffs between proxies as the mobile hosts move between regions is proposed. According to the proxy server handoff protocol, a client agent at the mobile horst requests a proxy server to start handoff processing by which two proxy servers synchronize distilled data belonging to a HTTP session that must be maintained across the handoff. Also, we introduce the architecture of the proxy server and the client agent that handles the proxy server handoff. Finally, we evaluate the proposed system through performance test.

Timeline Synchronization of Multiple Videos Based on Waveform (소리 파형을 이용한 다수 동영상간 시간축 동기화 기법)

  • Panoramic image is one of the technologies that are commonly used today. However, technical difficulties still exist in panoramic video production. Without a special camera such as a 360-degree camera, making panoramic video becomes more difficult. In order to make a panoramic video, it is necessary to synchronize the timeline of multiple videos shot at multiple locations. However, the timeline synchronization method using the internal clock of the camera may cause an error due to the difference of the internal hardware. In order to solve this problem, timeline synchronization between multiple videos using visual information or auditory information has been studied. However, there is a problem in accuracy and processing time when using video information, and there is a problem in that, when using audio information, there is no synchronization when there is sensitivity to noise or there is no melody. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a timeline synchronization method between multiple video using audio waveform. It shows higher synchronization accuracy and temporal efficiency than the video information based time synchronization method.
