In this paper, we discuss about De Morgan's view on the development of algebra according to following distinctions: arithmetic, universal arithmetic, symbolic algebra, significant algebra. De Morgan thought that the differences between arithmetic and universal arithmetic lie in the usage of letters and the immediate performance of computation. In his viewpoint, universal arithmetic is a transitional phase, in which absurd phenomena occur, from arithmetic to algebra and these absurd phenomena call for algebra. The feature of De Morgan's view on the development of algebra is that symbolic calculus which consist of symbol system without symbol's meaning is acquired, then as extended meanings are furnished to symbols, symbolic calculus become logical so significant calculus is developed. For example, Single algebra is developed, as an extended meaning is furnished to a symbol -1, and double algebra is developed, as an extended meaning is furnished to a symbol $\sqrt{-1}$. According to De Morgan, a symbol system is derived from the incompleteness of a prior symbol system.

This study was conducted to find out the successive habitual practice of dietary life and all the educational tasks for the purpose of activating with female college students in Korea and Japan. The reesults are as follows. Housewives in both countries prepare ${\ulcorner}the\;same\;menu{\lrcorner}$ for dinner about 65%. ${\ulcorner}The\;rate\;of\;domestic\;manufacturing\;of\;preservated\;food\;{\lrcorner}$ is superior in Korea. ${\ulcorner}Goch'ujang{\lrcorner}$ is made by the 92% of Koreans, ${\ulcorner}Doenjang{\lrcorner}\;89%,\;{\ulcorner}Ganjang{\lrcorner}\;48%,\;{\ulcorner}Oiji{\lrcorner}\;44%\;and\;{\ulcorner}Kimchi{\lrcorner}\;40%.\;{\ulcorner}Umeboshi{\lrcorner}$ is made by the 65% of Japanese, ${\ulcorner}Rakkyo-Zuke{\lrcorner}\;37%,\;{\ulcorner}Kajitsu-syu{\lrcorner}\;40%,\;and\;{\ulcorner}Miso{\lrcorner}$ 27%. Two countries' common seasonings are ${\ulcorner}Ganjang{\lrcorner},\;{\ulcorner}Salt{\lrcorner},\;{\ulcorner}Chemical\;condiment{\lrcorner},\;{\ulcorner}Sugar{\lrcorner},\;{\ulcorner}Pepper{\lrcorner},\;{\ulcorner}Doenjang${\lrcorner}\;and\;{\ulcorner}Vinegar{\lrcorner}$. Koreans use the traditional seasonings, and in addition flavoring vegetables and oil which is Korea's own characteristic. Japanese use western seasonings frequently besides traditional seasonings. ${\ulcorner}Mother's\;representative\;food{\lrcorner}$ as home dish are conscentrated on each count's native food. ${\ulcorner}Kimch'i\;lyu{\lrcorner}$ is made by the 42% of Koreans, ${\ulcorner}Doenjangchigae{\lrcorner}\;39%,\;{\ulcorner}Dakgangjong{\lrcorner}\;31%,\;and\;{\ulcorner}Saongsonmaeuntang{\lrcorner}\;19%.\;{\ulcorner}Misoshiru{\lrcorner}$ is made by the 83% of Japanese, ${\ulcorner}Nishime{\lrcorner}\;76%\;and\;{\ulcorner}Nikujaga{\lrcorner}$ 38%. Korea has more diverse kinds of food. People eat out ${\ulcorner}when\;they\;have\;special\;home \;events{\lrcorner},\;{\ulcorner}when\;they\;would\;like\;to\;do{\lrcorner},\;and\;{\ulcorner}when\;they\;are\;going\;out{\lrcorner}$, It means that to eat out is one of the daily dinning styles. Therefore, for those who are engaged in eating house business it is necessary to form their righteous view of evaluation. Koreans learn more various items of table manner than Japan, which are the symbols of dietary culture. ${\ulcorner}Carriage{\lrcorner}\;and\;{\ulcorner}Eating\;politely{\lrcorner}$ are common items. The extent to which ${\ulcorner}people\;practice\;table\;manner{\lrcorner}$ and to which ${\ulcorner}people\;think\;of\;it\;as\;being\;worth\;practicing{\lrcorner}$ are high in Japan than Korea.

Recently, rapidly increa~ing internet Websites are providing us with the new kinds of multimedia infonnations without borders acting as the center for exchanging informations. Such new media infonnations through the internet passes infonnations via light on the monitor and provides the various infonnations, with the differentiation from the traditional printing media, it can be searched with electronic commands in limited space. In the process of adapting the new technologies, new media has successfully responded to the fast change and the development of its needs by experiencing the trials and errors, steadily establishing the stable position with its new infonnation transferring and exchanging methods. The representative hompage of websites of information lransfonnations means the first page containing no lower directories and consist of titles, icons, symbols and addresses and can design them in consideration of graphical process, planning, contents and others. Such hompages are very important since the graphical images shows its visual expressions deciding the total meanings of the hompages. In this research, we have analyzed the relationships between its overall colors and text colors from randomly picked hompages of websites in the internets of various areas. Generally, the homepages are designed with graphical expressions in personal way and the feedbacks and responses of such may differs, but this can be used as reference materials for the analysis of new media in objective way. Also, it can be used as the base informations for arrangement and planning of designs with the characteristics of graphics and Graphical User Intertilces in the backhlfound which are implemented over internet.

An apparatus for continuous measurements of sorption isotherm of dried food was manufactured to shorten the time required for equilibration. The apparatus was so designed that the temperature, air velocity and relative humidity in the experimental chamber could be controlled. The use of dynamic stream of conditioned air with a velocity of 0.2m/sec, instead of static atmosphere, allowed a faster equilibration of dried filefish muscle at $25^{\circ}C$. The mean time necessary for the equilibration of dried filefish muscle at the water activity of a given state to a higher water activity was about 45 hours. The monolayer moisture content of dried filefish muscle calculated from BET-equation was 0.092 kg water /kg dry matter at $25^{\circ}C$.

This study investigated the effects of the 'Meeting With Scientists' program on children's stereotypical images of scientist. To do those, 36 children of a fifth grade class participated in the program for one month. The program consisted of two main activities:(l) participating in scientists' lectures and exchanging e-mail with them; and (2) visiting web sites about scientist and science, and exchanging e-mail with scientists at the sites. The results of the study can be summarized as follows: First, after participating in the program, children showed the significant decrease of several stereotypical items, such as facial growth of hair(bald hair beard), symbols of research, and age of the scientist. Second, the most popular source of the images was the visual media at the pretest but the source was changed to the visiting and participating scientist's lecture, and internet at the posttest. The latter items appeared a significant difference between the pretest and the posttest, The results indicate that the program is effective to decrease of children's stereotypical physical image of scientist.

Recently, many papers have been proposed in order to improve the OFDM system performance in T-DMB DOCR (Digital On Channel Repeater), by using removing the feedback signal so that the transmitter power can be increased or by using the equalizer to remove ICI. Despite these efforts, however, signal quality at the receiving terminal has not been improved because of constellation smearing in T-DMB DOCR. In this paper, in order to suppress constellation smearing, we propose an effective equalizer algorithm that can improve system performance. We perform adaptive channel estimation and non-coherent decision directed noise cancellation method that can estimate the channel subsequently during data symbols period in the frequency domain. So we can obtain better quality of the signal at the receiving terminal. In order to secure QoS(Quality of Service) required in T-DMB handsets, we evaluate SNR and BER in T-DMB DOCR(Digital On Channel Repeater) and verified by simulation. In this simulation results, this system is satisfied the performance of BER=$10^{-5}$ at less than SNR=14 dB at the receiver after compensation of phase noise -18 dBc.

The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the effect of customer acceptance of servicescape on customer satisfaction focusing in theme park service. In particular, the degree of usefulness and ease of use perceived for servicescape will ultimately have the impact on customer satisfaction through the process of service co-creation and shared values creation. In order to demonstrate this structural influence relationship, a survey of 247 undergraduate and graduate students taking service management course was conducted. The customer's acceptance of the servicescape affects the co-creation activities of the service. It creates value and contributes to the improvement of satisfaction. Looking at the results of this study in detail, it is necessary to take into consideration the usefulness of the theme park employees' clothes and symbols, etc. in servicescape, and the convenience of the facility itself is important. This servicescape reveals that customers should be comfortable with the use of real-time information on the site and that customer satisfaction can be improved by creating new shared value. This study has been limited to the theme park service which has a large-scale service field and the distribution status of many customers in real time, so it is limited to apply to the other services with detail reinterpreting.

This study is intended to understand an implication system and significance in the current community which a body image symbolizes by correlating it with fashion that is on the rise as a principal issue in various fields. For this study, the symbolism of the body image was contemplated in terms of philosophy and art, and then on the basis of it, the symbolism of the body image shown in modern fashion design was analyzed through fashion works. The research results are as follows, 1. The manifestation of sex can be taken as the symbolism of the body image which is expressed in modern fashion design. Recently sexual chaos and vagueness such as homosexuality and bisexuality are expressed through a dress and its ornaments. Though displaying sexual characteristics of male and female as they are exposing a sign or a diagram, decorating a part of body or representing sex in garments, uncertain sex identity in modern society is manifested in dress and its ornaments. It is to deny absoluteness regarding sex and emphasize diversity indwelt in human beings, and after all it shows to pursue the human essence. 2. Another symbolism of the body image is body expression as the human race and an ethnic group. The discriminating situations and the restoration of their status appeared in modern fashion too. Moreover, their cultures and issues came to alter the aesthetic standard of body made from a view of the Western white supremacist. Hereupon, fashion trends like ethnic fashion, Orientalism and African look etc. appear according to this tendency, which represents race and national identity and in addition, which signifies to present transcendental human conception embracing alienated human conception. 3. The symbolism of the body image expressed in a body, and a dress and its ornaments as nature can be considered in terms of the concern on environmental contamination and the respect of echo system. Getting away from reigning over, developing and stamping down nature at their will, the human beings pursue unity with nature, which is described in fashion. They are stressing that natural materials and objects such as animal, plant and soil etc. should activily be introduced into fashion and humans are a communal fate group and should reframe their status in nature at last. 4. The body image shown in a body, a dress and its ornaments as technology is transformed and recreated by modern scientific techniques and medical science to show post human conception namely, forthcoming future human conception as a cyborg which loses individual identity. This presents a perfect future human conception with high level of preternatural power but after all, leaves us a task to seek the meaning of human existence in alienation caused by the loss of human identity and existence. In this manner, the moderns crave for perceiving the identity of a natural human being in the current thoughts tendency of the modern times such as postmodernism, post structuralism, deconstructionism, feminism and so on, which build discussions affecting the art and fashion worlds. The categories, like sexual characteristics indwelt in a human body, racial classifications, the natural environment surrounding human beings and development of science, bring out the importance of the internal and external meaning in today's fashion which a human body contains, and present sew human conception in the coming future society.

The purpose of mathematics education includes two important areas; cognitive area that emphasizes mathematical knowledge and understanding and affective area that stresses mathematical interest and attitude. The purpose of mathematics education is not only in acquiring the contents and knowledge but also rousing up interest and attention toward mathematics. Therefore, effort to accomplish this affective purpose has to be made. Introducing history of mathematics to teaching can be a important method for the students to arouse interest and attention toward mathematics. History of mathematics can help the students who are familiar to only manipulation of the symbols to develop a new way of thinking and mathematical thoughts arousing reflective thinking. According to the survey, although the effect of using mathematics history has been recognized, the mathematics history has neither been developed as teaching materials nor reflected in the courses of study. The purpose of this research is to develop the reading materials into suit for the mathematics curriculum to extract contents of the mathematics valuable in using in elementary mathematics teaching, and to investigate the effect of reading materials using the history of mathematics on learning attitude in elementary school. The way of developing materials in this study is as follows. First, to select the interesting and instructive subject for the elementary students such as the story and life of a mathematician, developmental stages of mathematical theory and calculation currently used and finding the patterns of the rules that requires mathematical thoughts. Second, to classify the selected items according to mathematics curriculum. Third, to reorganize the classified items of the appropriate grade with the reading materials of dialogue pattern in order to draw attention and interest from the students I developed 18 kinds materials in accordance with the above procedure and applied 5 materials among them to one class in 4th grade. Analysing the student's responses, First, using history of mathematics helps the students to arouse interest and confidence on mathematical learning attitude. And the students became better attitude of studying by oneself and attention on class. Second, as know by opinions after lesson, most students have a chance refresh one's thinking of mathematics, want to know the other content of history of mathematics and responded to study hard in mathematics. As a result, the reading materials on the basis of the history of mathematics motivates students for mathematics and helps them become confident in mathematics. If the materials are complemented properly, they will be useful and effective for students and teachers.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the usability of the tablet PC-based Korean high-tech AAC(Augmentative Alternative Communication System) software. In order to develop an AAC software which is appropriate to Korean cultural/linguistic contexts and communication needs of the users, we examined the necessity and ease of use for the communication functions that are required in native Korean communication, such as polite expressions, tense expressions, negative expressions, subject-verb auto-matching, and automatic sentence generation functions, using a scenario-based user testing. We also investigated the users' needs, preferences, and satisfaction for the tablet PC-based Korean high tech AAC using a semi-structured and open questionnaires. The participants of this study were 9 special education teachers, 6 speech therapists, and 6 parents whose children had communication disabilities. The results of the usability testing of the tablet PC-based Korean high-tech AAC software presented positive responses in general, by indicating overall scores of above 4 out of 5 except in tense and negative expressions. The necessity and ease of use in the tense and negative expressions were evaluated relatively low, and it might be related to the inconsistent interface with the polite expressions. In terms of the user interface(UI), there were users' needs for clear visual feedback in the symbol selection and display, consistent interface for all functions, more natural subject-verb auto-matching, and spacing in the text within symbols. The results of the usability testing and users' feedback might serve as a guideline to compensate and improve the function and UI of the existing AAC software.
