디자인에 있어서 단순성이 강조되는 것은 가장 간단한 방식으로 가장 많은 내용을 전달하기를 바라기 때문이다. 일반적으로 단순한 형태는 상징성이 뛰어나고, 조형미의 부각이 용이하기 때문에 심벌마크의 형태에 적용된다. 그러나 선전 광고에 힘쓰지 않는 지방자치구나 기업들이 이렇게 단순한 형태의 심벌마크를 도입한다면 경쟁에서 불리해진다. 소비자들은 단순한 형태의 심벌마크를 여러 개 대하다 보면, 각각의 특징을 기억하지 못한다. 오히려 지각의 심리는 심벌마크의 조형적 공통점만을 기억하여 무리(Gruping)지어 버린다. 본 논문에서는 도봉구청과 원주시의 심벌마크를 조사분석 했다. 피험자들은 실험에서 이들 마크를 유사한 이미지를 가진 마크와 구분하지 못했다. 이유는 심벌마크의 단순성이 다른 이미지들과 동일한 것으로 인지하게 했기 때문이다. 먼저 본 심벌마크에 대한 착오, 기억장애, 그리고 누적되는 오차들은 동일한 이미지 쪽으로 향하고 있음을 입증했다. 제시된 이미지와 지각된 이미지는 다르다. 심벌마크가 단순한 형태를 취한다고 해서 지각된 이미지도 단순한 것은 아니다. 디자이너는 경쟁력 있는 심벌마크를 제작하기 위해서 조형심리에 대한 철저한 이해가 필요하다고 본다.

In this paper, we introduce an encoder design technique of multiple symbol trellis coded modulation for noncoherent continuous phase frequency shift keying (MTCM/NCPFSK) on the interleaved Rician fading channel. To find dominant factors which affects the error probability of MTCM/NCPFSK, we derive the pairwise error probability (PEP) of MTCM/NCPFSK and find that the error probability mainly depends on the effective length of error event and the corresponding squared product distance (SPD) for the small value of Rician parameter K. Using this performance criteria, we search for the optimal encoder of MTCM/NCPFSK for the interleaved Rician fading channel. We also compare that encoder with the encoder designed for additive white Gaussian noise channel.

This thesis is focused on the visitors varied experiences of the current museum architecture. The current trend and periodical development of visitors experiences are discussed by analyzing the factors such as the external symbol scheme, the exhibition space scheme, and the visitors circulation scheme which are involved with a visitors experience and thus classifying the experiences related to each sample museum. Examining and providing logical descriptions on each of the schemes helps comprehend the visitors varied experiences. This research, which deals with thoroughly understanding a museum as an architecture followed by taking visitors experiences into account, is aimed to contribute to improving visitors experiences in the course of designing a museum. The above-mentioned types of combination applied to each museum chosen for the research help understand the following : National museums show predominance of specific visitors experiences. As for the external symbol scheme, most of national museums have adopted the temple type, whereas international museums have equally adopted with the temple type and the showroom type which are characterized by its dedication to function and being in balance between contents and formalities.

본 논문에서는 BWLL 상향링크에 적용할 수 있는 버스트 QPSK 수신기의 동기알고리즘을 설계하였다. 본 논문에서 설계한 버스트 수신기는 디지털 다운컨버터와 정합필터 그리고 동기회로로 구성되어 있다. 동기회로의 경우 심벌 타이밍 복구를 위하여 가드너 알고리즘을 사용하였고 반송파 주파수 복구를 위하여 4승법을 사용하였으며 반송파 위상 복구는 DD알고리즘을 사용하였다. 성능 분석을 위하여 제안된 알고리즘에 대한 시뮬레이션 결과와 VHDL로 코딩되어 FPGA에 구현된 실제회로의 결과를 비교, 분석하였다. 성능분석 결과 주파수 옵셋이 심벌율의 4.7% 까지 동기기가 잘 동작하였다.

본 논문에선 리드 솔로몬 복호기의 2개의 8빗트 심볼 오류정정회로의 에러위치추척기에 대한 새로운 설계법을 제시한다. 본 설계법을 통해 기존보다 빠르고 훨씬 회로량이 줄어든 적화된 2개의 8 빗트심볼 오류위치 축적기를 설계할 수 있었다. 이 리드솔로몬 복호기는 거의 모든 디지털 통신 및 가전기기의 데이터 보존장치로 사용되질 수 있다. 특히 8빗트 동작을 4빗트 동작으로 분화시켜 북호기의 최적화를 이뤘다.

This paper addresses the design and implementation of compensation of rain attenuation for Ka-band satellite communication system complied with DVB-RCS[2]. A structure of rain fade compensation scheme in the Ka-band satellite communication system is presented. Rain fade compensation scheme in this paper is mainly applied into return-link, which is the path through which user terminal transmit the data tn hub system providing a service. Symbol rate and code rate of channel code are used as variable transmission parameter for rain fade compensation. For estimation of channel environment, SNR of the user terminal which is measured by demodulator of hub system is used. Rain fade compensation scheme in the paper changes the symbol rate and/or code rate according to the measured SNR so that it can compensate the attenuation of the signal.

The purpose of this study is to stand assembly the meaning and function of entry space with analysing their social and cultural characteristic. The entry space is the linkable place between inner space and out space, and that is the transition place to be experienced two opposing characteristic. Till now the entry space has not taken effect as symbol needed to the resident and observer, and that has been a tendency to shrink as the minimal sign of entrance. So thus, it is in need of studying the entry space's specific and characterizing structurally as expanded function. For the purpose, this study define newly the meaning, function and composition of entry space in an apartment building, and try to find how to reinforce a resident identity. This study propose justification that the entry space isn't boxing space minimally but enforcing symbol presented clearness of composition and vital character.

This paper introduces an encoder design method of Turbo TCM (Trellis Coded Modulation) with symbol puncturing. TTCM consists of two simple trellis codes in parallel and modulator. To obtain an good encoder, we calculate the free distance by the assumption that the punctured symbol is transmitted from the subset that consist of signals with the same systematic bit at random. We develop a search program to find the component encoder which maximize the free distance. Especially, for 8-PSK with code rate 2/3, we search for the component codes. We find a new encoder which has better BER performance than that of Robertson′s encoder. We verify the results through the simulation."

The purpose of this study is to investigate the hair in aspects of gender and cultural/political ideology, and to confirm the meanings of hair style in modem fashion. There are three zones of social significance such as head hair, facial hair, and body hair, and each of theses zones has both gender and ideological significance. In aspects of gender, opposite sexes have opposite hair norms. And, in sociocultural standpoint, hair is a political symbol of the main protest movements in culture. The contemporary hair styles in fashion design mean that the ＇paying＇ with gender identity, the reflection of changing sexuality, the non-politicism, the fragmentation of style, and the naturalness.
