SRM의 가변 속도 제어를 위한 스윗칭 기법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Switching Strategy of SRM for Variable Speed Control)

  • This paper describes a switching strategy for variable speed control and low torque ripple of Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM). The main advantage of this strategy is simple control. Therefore it can be constructed easily. And a design principle of SRM is represented for the proposed switching strategy. The proposed switching method is tested by simulation and experiment on various SRM type. As a result, The SRM drive with the proposed scheme is effective in reducing the torque ripple and variable speed control.

  • This paper proposes a regeneration braking algorithm for Brushless DC (BLDC) motor system. The unipolar switching method has a limitation about the regeneration braking when the BLDC motor is operated in the low speed region. The proposed algorithm alternatively utilizes the unipolar and bipolar switching method to implement the regeneration braking for overall speed range. The bipolar switching method is used when the BLDC motor is operated in the low speed region. The switching transition point is determined by analyzing the unipolar and bipolar switching during the regeneration braking. The effectiveness of proposed algorithm is verified by using the experimental results.

  • In this paper, recent researches on new and renewable energy have been conducted due to problems such as energy exhaustion and environmental pollution, and new researches on high efficiency and high speed switching are needed. Therefore, we compared the efficiency by using high speed switching devices instead of IGBT which can't be used in high speed switching. The experiment was performed theoretically by applying the same parameters of the high speed switching devices which are the Cool MOS of Infineon Co., SiC C3M of Cree, and GaN FET device of Transform, by implementing the DC-DC boost converter and measuring the actual efficiency for output power and frequency. As a result, the GaN FET showed good efficiency at all switching frequency and output power.

  • 본 논문에서는 고속 FPGA 설계를 위한 논리 수준의 조합회로 합성 알고리듬을 제안한다. FPGA는 현장에서 직접 제작이 가능하고 제작 시간이 짧으며 제작 비용이 저렴하므로 초기 prototype 시스템의 제작에 자주 사용되고 있으나, ASIC 칩에 비해 지연시간이 크고 집적도가 떨어지는 단점이 있다. 제안된 알고리듬은 회로의 지연시간을 줄이기 위해 critical path를 분할한 후 분할된 회로를 동시에 수행하는 구조의 회로를 생성한다. MCNC 표준 테스트 회로에 대한 실험에서 제안된 지연시간 최적화 알고리듬이 기준 알고리듬에 비해 지연시간이 평균 19.1% 감소된 회로를 생성함을 보였다.

  • OFDM/FH 시스템 등 고속 호핑을 요구하는 통신 시스템에서는 빠른 스위칭 속도와 낮은 위상잡음을 갖는 주파수 합성기가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 PLL 주파수 합성기와 DH-PLL 주파수 합성기의 위상잡음과 스위칭 속도를 비교하고, OFDM/FH 시스템에 미치는 영향을 분석하였다. DH-PLL 주파수 합성기는 기존의 PLL 주파수 합성기에 비해 회로의 복잡도와 많은 전력 소모를 갖지만, 빠른 스위칭 속도를 갖고 있다. 일정한 루프필터 대역 하에서 위상잡음과 스위칭 속도가 반비례 관계를 갖고 있는 기존의 PLL 주파수 합성기와는 달리 DH-PLL 주파수 합성기는 매우 빠른 스위칭 속도와 낮은 위상잡음을 동시에 얻을 수 있다. 결과적으로 동일한 호핑 속도 요구를 만족해야 하는 경우 DH-PLL 주파수 합성기는 기존의 PLL 주파수 합성기보다 더 빠른 스위칭 속도와 더 적은 SNS손실을 얻을 수 있어 OFDM/FH 시스템 성능을 향상시킬 수 있다.

  • This paper presents the implementation and experimental investigation of sensorless speed control for a variable-speed PMSM(Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor) in super-high speed compressor operation. The proposed control scheme consists of two different sensorless algorithms to guarantee the reliable starting operation in low speed region and full torque characteristics using the vector control in high speed region. An automatic switching technique between two control modes is proposed to minimize the speed and torque pulsation during the switching instant of control mode. A testing system of 3.3㎾ PMSM has been built and 90% load test results at 7000r/min are presented to examine the feasibility of proposed sensorless control scheme.

  • Direct torque control (DTC) scheme provides a very quick torque response without the complex field-orientation block and inner current regulation loop. DTC is known as an appropriate scheme for high power induction motet drives because it can be used at lower switching frequency. There are two major drawbacks with the application of DTC schemes : one is large current harmonics due to flux drooping in a low speed range, the other is that the inverter switching frequency is varying according to motor parameters and operating speed. Switching devices in the power electronics drives should be supported for relatively high switching frequency. In this paper, a P-type fuzzy controller to realize the variable switching sector scheme and a PID-type fuzzy switching frequency regulator are adopted. A meaningful contribution of this paper is to propose a simple realization scheme of the fuzzy switching frequency regulator. Simulation results show the effectiveness of those propositions.

Improvement of Switching Speed of a 600-V Nonpunch-Through Insulated Gate Bipolar Transistor Using Fast Neutron Irradiation

  • Fast neutron irradiation was used to improve the switching speed of a 600-V nonpunch-through insulated gate bipolar transistor. Fast neutron irradiation was carried out at 30-MeV energy in doses of $1{\times}10^8n/cm^2$, $1{\times}10^9n/cm^2$, $1{\times}10^{10}n/cm^2$, and $1{\times}10^{11}n/cm^2$. Electrical characteristics such as current-voltage, forward on-state voltage drop, and switching speed of the device were analyzed and compared with those prior to irradiation. The on-state voltage drop of the initial devices prior to irradiation was 2.08 V, which increased to 2.10 V, 2.20 V, 2.3 V, and 2.4 V, respectively, depending on the irradiation dose. This effect arises because of the lattice defects generated by the fast neutrons. In particular, the turnoff delay time was reduced to 92 nanoseconds, 45% of that prior to irradiation, which means there is a substantial improvement in the switching speed of the device.

  • The good features of a switched reluctance motor(SRM) are appreciated by the appliance manufactures. And it is spread into a commercial and industries market. The few disadvantage of the motor is higher torque ripple and noise. This paper proposes an instantaneous torque control scheme to control a speed precisely. It adapts phase-locked loop (PLL) technique to control speed precisely. In this control scheme, the phase detector signal of the PLL regulates the switching dwell angle flexibly and the loop filter's signal controls adaptively the instantaneous switching voltage. Experimental results show that drive performance is good with low torque ripple.

이선현상을 포함한 고속철도차량의 전도성 잡음 해석 (Analysis on Conductive Noise of High-Speed Train Including Pantograph Detachment)

  • In high-speed train, the EMI is generated by pantograph detachment and switching device of motor-block. Especially, the conductive noise flows through rail as return feeder influences unintended results to sub-station, transformer, etc. These phenomena were investigated by PSIM circuit analysis tool and each part of railway system is modeled by circuit elements and switching devices. Consequently, the distorted wave in return feeder current occurs by the high speed switching frequency, and the overvoltage is applied by the pantograph detachment. Also the distortion of return current is high in starting point and it decreases from the proximity of a starting point ro the end of terminal.
