This Paper analyzed simultaneous activities of the time use survey by Korea National Statistical Office to use data mining‘s association rule. The survey of National Statistical Office in 1999 considered general analysis for simultaneous activities. But if we use the association rule, we can found the ratio of particular activities at the same time. And we found the probability that another activities practise if we act one particular activity. Using this association rule of data mining we can do more developed and analytical sociological study.

In this paper, we estimate the proportion of individuals having health insurance in a given year for several small domains cross-classified by age, sex and other demographic characteristics using the data provided by the National Center for Health Statistics(NCHS). We employ Bayesian as well as frequentist methodology to obtain small domain estimates and the associated measures of precision. One of the new features of our study is that we utilize the survey weights along with the model to derive the small domain estimates.

Soswaewon is one of the most representative traditional garden in Korea which has the highest reach of soundscape with the sounds and landscape components. This study aims to find out and to introduce the characteristics of soundscape in Korean traditional garden and to establish the basic data of soundscape research. Literature survey, of ancient poetry, acoustical survey on the sound itself and questionnaire survey to the visitors were carried out to analyse the relationships between the images perceived by the visitors and the characteristics of soundscape components in Soswaewon.

This study is to adjust the focus on the statistical survey about the rates of application for the 2005 Susi second semester admission to Universities in Daegu, Kyungbook. The decrease of population for university admission and the change of paradigm of selecting a field of specialization in university will have an adverse effect on ratios of admission. This is very important to the future of university in Daegu, Kyungbook.

We consider a history of exit poll which is generally used in the election forecasting survey. And we discuss some problems and improving items based on the results of executed in Korea. In addition, we consider the errors due to the insufficient preparation for exit poll and methods to reduce these errors. From this study, we expect the election forecasting will be more accurate.

This study is to analyse whether the senior students' experience of graduation exhibitions would be of any practical use when they are employed by fashion industry. To address this theme, a survey is carried out for 73 fashion designers who participated into the exhibitions. Survey results show the graduation exhibitions are worth Not because skills learned from the experiences are applicable to the industrial practice, but because they provide them self-confidence of finishing four year programs successfully. They responded that graduation exhibitions are most effecive when they requires to utilize knowledges and skills acquired from all across the major subjects.

인터넷 조사는 전통적인 조사방법에 비해 신속하고 저렴하며 멀티미디어를 이용한 고도화된 설문을 사용할 수 있다는 장점이 있는 반면 표본을 확률 추출하는 것이 어렵고, 대표성, 무응답 등의 비표본 오차가 심각하다. 본 연구에서는 비표본 오차 중 무응답 오차를 사례와 함께 정리하고, 인터넷 조사가 새로운 조사 방법으로서 활용될 수 있는 대안을 제시한다.

In this paper. we conducted an empirical study to investigate the design and weighting effects on descriptive and analytic statistics. We compared the regression models using the design-based approach and the generalized estimating equations (GEEs) approach with the model-based approach through the design and weighting effects analysis.

This study was conducted a survey for suggesting direction of improvement of on­site inspections in Korean construction industry. The survey is limited perspective of owners, contractors and construction managers (including supervisors) about existing 'construction field inspection manual' with field inspections (eg. central inspection, central quality safety unit inspection etc.): focusing on stakeholder's perception and actual state of inspections.
