  • Recently, in the elevator of the buildings, such as apartment and office building, the visitor monitoring cameras for surveillance, advertising LCD to provide a variety of information, emergency call devices, and safe driving information sensors are installed. A variety of multimedia data from these devices to the central control office, management office, or to guard room are transmitted in real-time. Each sub-systems in the elevator are installed with a separate lines and operated independently and use different management principals, so integrated management for each sub-systems are very difficult. In this study, we develop a new IP-based multi-channel video surveillance system which is integrated surveillance camera, emergency call devices, communications devices, various sensors in the elevator, DVR, ODM, and can manage all devices by two-way communication and integrated interface. And we evaluated the performance of the developed system.

  • We display important test information from radar, telemetry in real time for monitoring and control of guided missile flight test. Clearing test area is the most important thing for safety. Thus, we have to constantly monitor and control ships around the test area. Several maritime surveillance radars are deployed around the test area for that purpose. However, multiple points are displayed for the same target when using multiple surveillance radars and this confuses the test personnel during the mission. In this paper, we suggested a method to solve this problem by analyzing error factor of surveillance radar and comparing the correlation of each radar data.

  • Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) has a global presence with rapidly increasing incidence and prevalence. Patients with IBD including those with ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease have a higher risk of developing colorectal cancer (CRC) compared to the general population. Risk factors for CRC in patients with IBD include long disease duration, extensive colitis, primary sclerosing cholangitis, family history of CRC, stricture, and prior dysplasia. Surveillance colonoscopy for CRC in patients with IBD should be tailored to individualized risk factors and requires careful monitoring every year to every five years. The current surveillance techniques are based on several guidelines. Chromoendoscopy with targeted biopsy is being recommended increasingly, and high-definition colonoscopy is gradually replacing standard-definition colonoscopy. However, it remains unclear whether chromoendoscopy, virtual chromoendoscopy, or white-light endoscopy has better efficiency when a high-definition scope is used. With the development of new endoscopic instruments and techniques, the paradigm of surveillance strategy has gradually changed. In this review, we discuss cutting-edge surveillance colonoscopy in patients with IBD including a review of literature.

  • A real-time surveillance system of the inshore fishing ground was constructed to identify and detect discrete targets, such as illegal fishing vessels. This paper describes measurements made with a combination of sensors, such as radar, CCTV camera, and GPS receivers, for monitoring the fishing activity of small vessels within the fishing limit zones of the inshore waters. The CCTV camera system was used to confirm detection and to classify the type of target. The location of legal vessels distributed in coastal waters was acquired from each GPS system of ships connected to commercial satellite communication network. The surveillance system was networked via LAN to one host PC with the use of electronic navigational charts (ENC) and a radar link. Radar Target Extractor (RTX) for radar signal processing can be remotely accessed and controlled on existing PC via the internet, from anywhere, at any time. Results are presented that demonstrate the effectiveness of the newly constructed fisheries monitoring system for conducting continuous surveillance of illegal fishing vessels in the inshore fishing ground. The identification of illegal fishing vessels was achieved by comparing radar positions of illegal fishing vessels exceeding the warning limits in the surveillance area with GPS position reports transmitted from legal fishing vessels, and the illegal fishing vessels were marked with red symbols on the ENC screen of a PC. The methods to track the activities of all vessels intruding or leaving the fishing limit zones also were discussed.

  • Smart cities are expected to provide residents with convenience via various agents such as CCTV, delivery robots, security robots, and unmanned shuttles. Environmental data collected by various agents can be used for various purposes, including advertising and security monitoring. This study suggests a surveillance map data framework for efficient and integrated multimodal data representation from multi-agents. The suggested surveillance map is a multilayered global information grid, which is integrated from the multimodal data of each agent. To confirm this, we collected surveillance map data for 4 months, and the behavior patterns of humans and vehicles, distribution changes of elevation, and temperature were analyzed. Moreover, we represent an anomaly detection algorithm based on a surveillance map for security service. A two-stage anomaly detection algorithm for unusual situations was developed. With this, abnormal situations such as unusual crowds and pedestrians, vehicle movement, unusual objects, and temperature change were detected. Because the surveillance map enables efficient and integrated processing of large multimodal data from a multi-agent, the suggested data framework can be used for various applications in the smart city.

  • Chronic pancreatitis, a significant risk factor for pancreatic cancer, necessitates monitoring for pancreatic cancer development. Chronic pancreatitis can be broadly categorized into hereditary and sporadic. Given the variability in the risk for pancreatic cancer based on the presence and type of genetic mutations, it is crucial to establish and be aware of guidelines for screening and surveillance tailored to each risk level. In cases of hereditary chronic pancreatitis with PRSS1 mutations, patients demonstrated a high incidence of pancreatic cancer, justifying the rationale for screening and surveillance. However, the incidence of pancreatic cancer is relatively low in hereditary chronic pancreatitis with other genetic mutations and sporadic chronic pancreatitis; thus, precise screening and periodic surveillance are not recommended. For individuals with PRSS1 mutation-related hereditary chronic pancreatitis, surveillance may be considered from the age of 40 years. While computed tomography or magnetic resonance imaging is suitable for pancreatic cancer screening, endoscopic ultrasonography is not recommended because of parenchymal inflammation, fibrosis, and calcification. However, in cases of sporadic chronic pancreatitis where various risk factors for pancreatic cancer coexist, the incidence of pancreatic cancer significantly increases. Therefore, in 5 years after the diagnosis of chronic pancreatitis, the pancreatic cancer incidence has been observed to continuously increase. In such cases, individualized screening tests and surveillance based on the patient's symptoms and specific circumstances must be considered.

  • The agents for security surveillance are not enough for monitoring CCTV system, so the intelligent automatic surveillance system is needed. In this paper, object detection, tracking and abnormal event detection system is implemented for intelligent CCTV system. Each modules are tested on the real CCTV environment and promoted for commercialization. Abnormal event detection module and loitering detection and sudden running detection function and it's detection time is under 1 second which is satisfied level.
