  • In this paper, a 15kW grid-connected battery charging and discharging system was proposed. AC regenerative device which consisted of an inverter using IGBTs and LCL filter transferred surplus power to grid. Phase locked loop(PLL) was used to resolve three-phase unbalance. AC regeneration function is able to improve the rate of energy use and the cost savings of energy is expected.

  • Recently most companies require various type of energy sources, in order to be more energy efficient in their plant due to the increasing current oil price. So, the multi-national companies are shaping ideas how to reduce energy costs and use substitute energy. The purpose of this study Is to attempt to save energy by making more valuable high pressure steam through TVR(Thermal Vapor Recompressor) from the surplus low pressure steam of HRB(Heat Recovery Boiler) in sulfuric acid plant.

  • This work proposes a theoretic framework for the performance assessment of an access point in the IP network that accommodates MD (Machine Data) and HD (Human Data). First, we investigate typical resource allocation methods in LTE for MD and HD. After that we carry out a Max-Min analysis about the surplus and deficiency of network resource seen from MD and HD. Finally, we evaluate the performance via numerical experiment.

  • Adipocyte development has an impact on human health issues mainly through the association of obesity with Type II diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension and cardiovascular disorders. Obesity results from excessive food intake and reduced energy expenditure, and such surplus energy is stored in adipose tissue.

  • Body weight is maintained at a relatively constant level over days and months despite variability in food intake and physical activity. To achieve energy homeostasis, the hypothalamus receives information related to energy surplus or shortage from the periphery and controls food intake and energy expenditure. Leptin, an adipocyte derived hormone, is a principal mediator that signals the brain about the stored energy status. Increased leptin signaling in the brain prevents excess energy stores by suppressing food intake and increasing energy expenditure. In addition, insulin and nutrients themselves, such as glucose and free fatty acids, also regulate food intake.

  • Consumers have become increasingly more aware of food safety issues, as a consequence of s number of food scandals. Most of these scandals have been related to livestock products. However, most consumers still believe that it is possible to produce safe food at low prices, while a small group of consumers is willing to pay a price surplus for special quality. Organic standards, especially for livestock products, have very few definitions of process quality, and even fewer of these definitions that influence product quality. This paper work to organic milk production and marketing trends in Korea.

  • The study was performed in order to develop high efficient Electrode Gas Welding with additional solid wire by means of a surplus heat source. This technique can be reduced welding heat input in the weldments, welding speed can be increased over 30%, and mechanical properties can be more excellent than traditional method.

  • This paper was discussed N-balance of the republic of Korea. About 397Kg N/ha was inputted into the chemical fertilizer, animal feed, precipitation and nitrogen fixation. About 15kg N/ha was outputted from the Korea. The amount of N surplus was 397kg N/ha and loaded into environment. This causes the problem of water, air and soil pollution. It should take measures to improve the situation, such as depending more on selfsufficient feed and using nutrient cycling functions of soils.

  • We consider a compound Poisson risk model in which the premium rate changes when the surplus exceeds a threshold. The explicit form of the ruin probability for the risk model is obtained by deriving and using the overflow probability of the workload process in the corresponding M/G/1 queueing model.
