정밀 선삭가공에서의 표먼거칠기곡선 예측 (Prediction the surface profile in the single point diamond turning)

  • The achievable machining accuracy depends upon the level of the micro-engineering, and the today's accuracy targets are dimensional tolerances in the order of 10nm and surface roughness in the order of 1nm. Such requirements cannot be satisfied by the conventional machining processes. Single point diamond turning is the one of new techniques which can produce the parts with such accuracy limits. The aims of this thesis are to get a better understanding of the complex cutting process with a diamond tool and, consequently, to develope a predicting model of a turned surface profile. In order to predict the turned surface profile, a numerical model has been developed. By means of this model, the influence of the operational settings-the material properties of the workpiece, the geometry of the cutting tool and the dynamic behaviour of the lathe-and their influences via the cutting forces upon the surface roughness have been estimated.

연삭가공시 온도해석을 통한 열변형 예측 (A Study on the Prediction of Thermal Deformation Using Temperature Analysis in Surface Grinding Process)

  • The thermal deformation of a workpiece during grinding is one of the most important factors that affect a flatness of a grinding surface. The heat generated in one-pass surface grinding causes the convex deformation of a workpiece. Therefore, the ground durfae represents a concave profile. In the analysis a simple model of the temperature distribution, based on the results of a finite element method, is applied. Theanalyzed results are compared with experimental results in surface grinding. The main results obtained are as follows: (1) The temperature distribution of a workpiece by FEM has a good agreement with the experimental results. (2) The bending moment by generated heat causes a convex deformation of the workpiece and it leads to a concave profile of the grinding surface.

Prediction of the Salinization in Reclaimed Land by Soil and Groundwater Characteristics

  • It is becoming more important to utilize reclaimed lands in South Korea, due to the increasing competition for its usage among different sectors. However, the high groundwater level and poor permeability are exposing them to deterioration by salinization. Salinization is difficult to predict because the pattern changes according to various characteristics of soil and groundwater. In this study, the capillary rising time was studied by the water content profile in the soil. The prediction equation of soil salinity was developed based on simulation result of the CHEMFLO model. to enable prediction considering various soil water content and groundwater level. The two terms constituting the equation showed the coefficients of determination of 0.9816 and 0.9824, respectively. Using the prediction equation of the study, the surface salinity can be easily predicted from the initial surface salinity and the salinity of the groundwater. In the future, more precise predictions will be possible with the results of studies on the hydraulic characteristics of various reclaimed soils, changes in water content profile by seasonal and climate events.

Prediction of Vertical Sea Water Temperature Profile in the East Sea Based on Machine Learning and XBT Data

  • 최근 우리나라에서도 인공지능 모델을 이용한 수온예측 관련 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있으나 한반도 주변 해역의 수온을 예측한 대부분의 연구는 주로 해수면 온도 예측에 중점을 두고 진행되었다. 반면 본 연구는 XBT(eXpendable Bathythermograph, 소모성 연직수온측정기) 데이터와 기계 학습 모델(RandomForest, XGBoost, LightGBM)을 사용하여 잠수함 작전 및 대잠전(Anti-Submarine Warfare)에 있어서 군사적으로 중요한 동해의 수직 수온분포를 예측하였다. 동해 특정해역의 해수면부터 수심 200m까지 측정된 XBT 데이터를 이용하여 모델을 학습시키고 절대 평균 오차(MAE, Mean Absolute Error)와 수직 수온분포 그래프를 통해 예측정확도를 평가하였다.

Prediction Model of the Exit Cross Sectional Shape of Workpiece in Round-Oval-Round Pass Rolling

  • A reliable analytic model that predicts the surface profile of the exit cross section of workpiece in round-oval (or oval-round) pass sequence is established. The presented model does not require any plasticity theory but needs the only geometric information on workpiece and roll groove. Formulation is based on the linear interpolation of the radius of curvature of an incoming workpiece and that of roll groove in the roll axis direction when the maximum spread of workpiece is known beforehand. The validity of the analytic model is examined by hot rod rolling experiment with the roll gap, specimen size, design parameter of oval groove and steel grade changed. Results revealed that the cross sectional shapes predicted by the model were in good agreement with those obtained experimentally. We found that the analytic model not only has simplicity and accuracy for practical usage but also saves a large amount of computational time in comparison with finite element method.

  • 이 연구에서는 지하공동의 점진적인 붕락이 지표침하에 미치는 영향을 조사하기 위하여, 주문진산 표준사를 이용하여 모형지반을 구성하였으며, 공동의 심도를 달리하는 6가지 모델에 대하여 실내 모형실험을실시하였다. 여기서 공동의 심도와 붕락구간의 크기에 따른 침하발생양상을 조사하였다. 또한 NCB 방법, 지수함수를 이용한 윤곽함수법 영향함수법 등의 침하예측방법을 이용하여 모형실험으로부터 측정된 수직 및 수평변위를 해석하였으며, 모래지반에 적합한 침하예측방법을 제안하였다.

바람 하중에 의한 크루즈선의 횡경사 예측 및 제어에 관한 연구 (Study on Prediction and Control of Wind-Induced Heel Motion of Cruise Ship)

  • The present study considers the prediction of wind-induced heel of cruise ship and its stabilization. Wind load in ocean exerts on the surface of superstructure of cruise ship, which causes the heel moment on the ship. The calculation of wind load starts from choosing wind speed profile, so that the logarithmic wind profile model is applied in this study. Heel moment by wind load is calculated by adopting approximate formulation and applied to the ship motion analysis in time domain. Motion stabilizers, such as stabilizing fin and U-tube tank, are considered to reduce the heel effect as well as excessive roll motion. From this study, it is expected that the present method can be applied to the prediction and stabilization of the heel motion of cruise ships.

  • 실내촉진실험과 동시에 현장폭로실험을 병행하였기 때문에 연차별 실험계획에 따라 최근 5년차의 현장실험체 분석을 수행하고 모델을 업그레이드하는 과정에서 모델 검증을 위해 준공된 지 30년 가량된 방조제의 배수갑문콘크리트의 염화물 침투프로파일을 분석하였다. Zhang의 연구결과에서 언급된 표면에 가까운 콘크리트내부 염화물 농도를 기본모델의 표면염화물농도 대신으로 적용하였다. 장기간 노출되는 실험체의 염화물 측정자료 분석에서 확산계수의 변화분석을 통하여 Maage의 제안식을 기본모델에 적용하였다. 이렇게 보완된 수정모델을 통하여 예측된 자료와 현장자료를 비교하고, 임계시점, 즉 보수시점을 도출함으로서 본 연구의 제안모델과 유지보수 시스템이 간만대 염화물 침투프로파일 추정과 적정보수 시점 및 비용 예측에 사용될 수 있음을 보였다.
