The purpose of this study was to reveal the effect of COP variable of support feet on relative reach distance and composite score of active feet during YBT. 29 adults in their 20s(age: 24.4±3.0 yrs, height: 171.0±10.5 cm, weight: 72.1±12.1 kg, leg length: 88.2±5.8 cm) participated in the study. Using YBT, relative reach distance and composite score of active feet were calculated, and COP variables of support feet were measured on left and right support feet. Multiple regression analysis was used to determine the effect of COP variables of support feet during YBT on relative reach distance and composite score. As a result of the study, during YBT, when supporting right feet, the influence of AP COP velocity, ML COP velocity and COP velocity in posterolateral direction was significant, and when supporting left feet, the influence of AP COP velocity, ML COP velocity in posteromedial direction improved relative reach distance and composite score.
In this paper, we study the structure of the Daegyupyo (大圭表, Large Gnomon) of the early Joseon dynasty. A Gyupyo (圭表, Gnomon that is Guibiao as pronounced in Chinese) is composed of a Pyo (表, Biao as pronounced in Chinese) making a shadow and a Gyu (圭, Gui as pronounced in Chinese) measuring its length. It is known that the Daegyupyo with the 40-feet height was constructed between the sixteenth to seventeenth year of the King Sejong reign (1444 - 1445) on the basis of the record of Yuanshi (元史, the History of the Yuan Dynasty). By analyzing historical documents such as Joseonwangjosillok (朝鮮王朝實錄, the Annals of the Joseon Dynasty), Yuanshi, and Jegaryeoksangjip (諸家曆象集, a work written by Sunji Lee), we found a possibility that the Ji (池, a pond) on the Gyu was located in the north side of the Pyo. This structure is different from that in previous studies, but is in a good agreement with that of the 40-feet Guibiao remaining in Dengfeng (登封) of China. Regarding to the Hoengyang (橫梁, cross-bar), we suggest that it was set up by double 5-feet supporting arms apart from the north tip of the Pyo in the radial direction. The 3:4:5 ratio in a rectangular triangle was used to place the Heongyang on the top of the Pyo at a distance of 4-feet (3-feet) in the vertical (horizontal) direction. We also discuss the structural problem when the Hoengyang is positioned apart from the top of the Pyo by supporting arms. In conclusion, we think that this study should be useful in restoring the Daegyupyo of the Joseon dynasty.
This paper treats the implementation of a statically stable control system for a biped walking robot with 10 degrees-of-freedom. Statically stable walking of a biped robot can be realized by keeping the center of mass (COM) inside the sole of the supporting foot (or feet) during single-support or double-support phases. We predetermined five static positions for walking based on the COM method. The positions can be represented by the length of the gait, the width between the feet, the height of the foot and two parameters in the hip movement. With the five parameters, we calculated the position trajectory. And we got the angular trajectories of 10 joints from the posit ion trajectory using the position tracking control and neural network. By tracking the angular trajectories, the robot can walk maintaining stability. We implemented walking of a biped robot throught the above ...

For autonomous navigation, a legged robot should be able to walk over irregular terrain and adapt itself to variation of supporting surface. Walking through slope is one of the typical tasks for such case. Robot needs not only to change foot trajectory but also to adjust its configuration to the slope angle for maintaining stability against gravity. This paper suggests such adaptation algorithm for stable walking which uses feedback of reaction forces at feet. Adjusting algorithm of foot trajectory was studied with the estimated angel of slope without visual feedback. A concept of virtual slope angle was introduced to adjust body configuration against slope change of the supporting terrain. Regeneration of foot trajectory also used this concept for maintaining its stable walking against unexpected landing point.
Background: The flexible flatfoot is characterized by a flattening of the foot arch due to excessive bodyweight. The use of shoe insoles or taping methods has been identified as effective in realigning the navicular or calcaneus bones and addressing supination in pronated feet. Objects: This study aimed to analyze the difference between the arch taping attachment method, introduced in a previous study, and a novel taping method designed to provide support to the inner aspect of the heel bone in cases of flexible flatfoot. Methods: A navicular drop test was performed to discriminate flexible flatfoot. To analyze the differences in pressure distribution during walking for each taping method, the subjects underwent testing in the barefoot state with no attachments. The procedure included a sequence of arch taping and heel taping. Subsequent analysis of pressure distribution during walking utilized the GaitRite® system (GAITRite Gold, CIR Systems Inc.). Results: Arch taping and calcaneus taping significantly reduced the integrated pressure over time and peak pressure on the medial side of the midfoot for both feet compared to the barefoot state. Conclusion: The findings of this study suggest that supporting the inside of the heel through calcaneus taping, without direct stimulation to the longitudinal arch and navicular bone, is an effective intervention for flexible flatfoot.
Since it's introduction in the late 19 century, the railway has taken an important role as people's feet and has conducted a stable management due to it's exclusive position for a long time. However, the competitions with other transportation devices such as cars and airlines are making it's previous position more or less weaker. In 1998, celebrating 100th anniversary, Korea Railway established the Customer Satisfaction Service Charter for the purpose of overcoming this competitive weakness, and as well to enhance it's service quality. The main purpose of this article is to depict and review the effectiveness of Customer Satisfaction Service Charter that has been adapted for a decade, and to suggest some effective supporting system that can make the charter to function more efficiently, and that would lead to the better realization of customer satisfaction service.
The distribution of the pressure between the sole of a feet and a supporting surface can reveal the information about the structure and fonction of the foot and the posural control of the whole body. In particular, the measurement of the vertical contact forces between the plantar surface of the foot and the shoe insole is of great importance to reveal the loading distributio patterns incurred from a particular shoe midsole design. In order to investigate the plantar surface pressure distribution, an insole-type sensor with a piezoelectric material is developed and tested. The present paper describes a new method to completely reduce both the shear force and pyroelectric effects that are normally caused from piezoelectric materials.
This study tries to find out the resonable improvement method of the export logistics system for fresh agriculture products. Export logistics system improvement of fresh agriculture products rationalized the export network covering the export and import of fresh agriculture products from producers to end customers and realized cost reduction and profit maximization. We are also operating our very own comprehensive logistics system that maximizes customer satisfaction. Supporting the entire logistics process starting from the collection, unloading, sorting, packaging, customs clearing, and information up to comprehensive logistics services, the export logistics system of fresh agriculture products realized a comprehensive transport system that uses 12 feet cool container. We have successfully reduced logistics costs through efficient operation in the export logistics system of fresh agriculture products.

The “Changzu”(footbinding)was an old chinese traditional custom practiced during more the thousand years and was applied to only woman. It prevents young girl’s foot from growing when she is 3 to 8 years old by big toe and forcing her to were the lotus shoe called LIANXIE. In china, the feet and shoe had special symbolic meaning other than usual simple of supporting body and protecting the foot, they are symoblic aspects of implication interal new meaning. In this study was investigate the internal meaning symbolized by Changzu from various perspectives such as religious, aesthetic, and group unconsicous aspects. In conclusion, the Changzu is a symbol that representing a dilemma which on one hand women would like to attract man physically while on other hand woman should be chaste and modest morally. And aiso it is group image representing groups unconsicous desire to preserving the artificial identity bestowed upon Chines woman by Chines man.
Foot, as a supporting base of human body, Is very important and has essential role during standing and walking those are our everyday physical movements. So lots of researches about the foot have been done for clinical purpose and ergonomic needs. Most of those researches are related to pressure distribution between the soles of the feet. Usually force plate or pressure sensor is used to obtain proper characteristic data from foot. But these expensive devices are not easy to attach to the sole of the subjects and it is unnatural for the subject to move with these devices. As one of method of measuring foot, gridded sole image is used. But the obtained image is very hard to be recognizable because of the image is composed with the ...
