A 7-year-old spayed female Somali-cross cat was admitted with a 4-week history of anorexia, vomiting, weight loss, and lethargy. The cat was diagnosed with hepatic lipidosis. With intensive care and nutritional support via a nasogastric feeding tube for 3 weeks, the clinical signs of hepatic lipidosis were improved. However, skin lesions were found in the left and right scapular regions during the treatment that were suspected to be due to feline skin fragility syndrome (FSFS). Intensive wound healing therapy with granulated sugar, laser therapy, and a surgical flap was conducted. Skin lesions improved uneventfully without other clinical signs or recurrence of any skin lesion for a year. To our knowledge, this is the first report of a good prognosis in a hepatic disorder and concurrent FSFS.

The selective catalytic reduction (SCR) reaction of promoter catalysts was investigated in this study. A pure anatase type of TiO$_2$ was used as support. Activation measurement of prepared catalysts was practiced on a fixed reactor packing by the glass bead after filling up catalysts in 1/4 inch stainless tube. The reaction temperature was measured by K-type thermocouple and catalyst was heated by electric furnace. The standard compositions of the simulated flue gas mixture in this study were as follows: NO 1,780ppm, NH$_3$1,780ppm, $O_2$1% and $N_2$ as balance gas. In this study, gas analyzer was used to measure the outgassing gas. Catalyst bed was handled for 1hr at 45$0^{\circ}C$, and the reactivity of the various catalyst was determined in a wide temperature range. Conversion of NH$_3$/NO ratio and of $O_2$ concentration was practiced at 1,1.5 and 2, respectively. The respective space velocity were as follows . 10,000, 15,000 and 17,000 hr-1. It was found that the maximum conversion temperature range was in a 5$0^{\circ}C$. It was also found toi be very sensitive at space velocity, $O_2$ concentration, and NH$_3$/NO ratio. We also noticed that the maximum conversion temperature of (W, Mo, Sn) -V$_2$O$_{5}$/TiO$_2$ catalysts was broad. Specially WO$_3$-V$_2$O$_{5}$TiO$_2$2 catalyst appeared nearly 100% conversion at not only above 30$0^{\circ}C$ ut also below 25$0^{\circ}C$. At over 30$0^{\circ}C$, NH$_3$ oxidation decreased with decrease of surface excess oxygen. In addition, WO$_3$-V$_2$O$_{5}$TiO$_2$ catalyst did not appear to affect space velocity, $O_2$ concentration, and NH$_3$/NO ratio.ratio.
Tumor angiogenesis, growth and metastasis are three closely related processes. We therefore investigated the effects of barbigerone on all three in the B16F10 tumor model established in both zebrafish and mouse models, and explored underlying molecular mechanisms. In vitro, barbigerone inhibited B16F10 cell proliferation, survival, migration and invasion and suppressed human umbilical vascular endothelial cell migration, invasion and tube formation in concentration-dependent manners. In the transgenic zebrafish model, treatment with $10{\mu}M$ barbigerone remarkably inhibited angiogenesis and tumor-associated angiogenesis by reducing blood vessel development more than 90%. In vivo, barbigerone significantly suppressed angiogenesis as measured by H and E staining of matrigel plugs and CD31 staining of B16F10 melanoma tumors in C57BL/6 mice. Furthermore, it exhibited highly potent activity at inhibiting tumor growth and metastasis to the lung of B16F10 melanoma cells injected into C57BL/6 mice. Western blotting revealed that barbigerone inhibited phosphorylation of AKT, FAK and MAPK family members, including ERK, JNK, and p38 MAPKs, in B16F10 cells mainly through the MEK3/6/p38 MAPK signaling pathway. These findings suggested for the first time that barbigerone could inhibit tumor-angiogenesis, tumor growth and lung metastasis via downregulation of the MEK3/6/p38 MAPK signaling pathway. The findings support further investigation of barbigerone as a potential anti-cancer drug.
For front, aspect of terror may have to prepare indeed even chemical terror or rocket and small size missile and radioactivity terror because is predicted to become various. Furthermore, when see motion of every countries about nuclear engineerses' bringing round and illicit sale of plutonium, our country may have to prepare in terrorism which is expected thus. So that can finish international event successfully because the United States of America supports great manpower and budget since New York's World Trade Center terror and when see that is considering terror prevention countermeasure, we operate temporarily bursting tube state complete charge team such as terror by each field specialist such as a concern interested including special CBR complete charge moving team among 2002 World Cups soccer game period ahead of international event, must consider safety countermeasure. Specially, biology weapon of chemical weapon and cholera etc. 13 kinds of 5000ton that North Korea plans CBR terror society confusion that North Korea that to terror support nation as well as nuclear weapons development suspicion is defending South Korea communization strategy as real condition that is amplified as well as is saving production brand gets imprinted uses CBR terror at normal times, when see that is planing powerlessness communization unity using CBR weapon at time of war, must operate until bias 2002 World Cups international event finishes cooperation safety countermeasure utensil safely under closer talk between the South Korea ${\cdot}$ Japan ${\cdot}$ North Korea. As for us which must serve 2002 World Cup successfully to accomplish perfectly preparedness of CBR terror firstly, all inhabitants knows well CBR protection trick, and secondly, CBR existing formation that solidify realignment CBR complete charge moving team which of course is consisted of CBR specialist compose and keeping immediate going out attitude operating, by third, that expand CBR individual protection equipment and CBR evacuation equipment and establish individual and group protection attitude naturally, supplement as there is main room that actualize CBR pollution patient's slogan countermeasure by fourth, and develop standard model for CBR terror provision by fifthBecause constructing infra of CBR safety establishing CBR preparedness that utilize it, must minimize damage and contribute inhabitants' life and property protection.
The Zic family is a group of genes encoding zinc finger proteins that are highly expressed in the mammalian cerebellum. Zic genes are the vertebrate homologue of Drosophila pair-rule gene, odd-paired(opa), which plays important roles in the parasegmental subdivision as well as in the visceral mesoderm development of Drosophila embryos. Recent studies on human, mouse, frog, fish and ascidian Zic homologues support that Zic genes are involved in a variety of developmental processes, including neurogenesis, myogenesis, skeletal patterning, and left-right axis establishment. In an effort to explore possible functions of Zic proteins during vertebrate embryogenesis, we initially examined more detailed expression pattern of zebrafish homologue of zic3(zic3z). zic3z transcripts are detected in the neuroectoderm, neural plate, dorsal neural tube, and brain regions including eye field during early embryonic development. Marker DNA studies found that zic3z transcription is modulated by BMP, Wnt, and Nodal signals particularly in the dorsal and vegetal neuroectoderm at gastrula. Interfering with zic3z translation with zic3z-specific morpholino causes abnormal brain formation and expansion of the optic stalk cells. Retinal ganglion cells(RGCs) undergo abnormal neuronal differentiation. These findings suggest that zic3z defines the dorsal and vegetal neuroectoderm to specify brain formation and retinal neurogenesis during early embryonic development.
The tubes in a heat exchanger, such as a steam generator (SG), are subjected to crossflow, and interaction between tubes and supports can happen, which can cause fretting wear of tubes. Although many experiments and models have been established, some detailed mechanisms are still not sufficiently clear. In this work, more attention is paid to obtain the regulation of impact and sliding in the complex process and many factors, such as excitation forces and clearances. The responses and contact forces were analyzed to obtain clear understanding of the influences of these factors. Room temperature tests in the air were established. The results show that the effect of clearance on the normal work rate is not monotonous and instead has two peaks. The force ratio can influence the normal work rate by changing the distribution of contact angles, which can result in higher sliding in the contact process. Fretting wear tests are conducted, and the wear surfaces are analyzed by a scanning electron microscope (SEM) and energy dispersive X-ray spectrometer (EDX). The results of this work can serve as a reference for impactsliding contact analysis between AVBs and tubes in steam generators.
In order to elucidate the possibility of artificial production of p. ferulae by solid-state culture, the optimization of culture conditions was carried out. When $NH_4H_2PO_4$ and $CaCO_3$ were used in the cultures using test tube with 30 g of Populus sawdust at $25^{\circ}C{\pm}1$ in the dark, the favored mycelial growth was observed with $1\%$ of $NH_4H_2PO_4$ and the production of polysaccharide was 7.85 mg/100 mg of mycelium with $1\%$ of $CaCO_3$. The mixtures of $80\%$ of Populus Sawdust and $20\%$ of rice bran at $60\%$ of water content were determined to be optimal for the production of fruiting bodies in the sawdust culture. When three treatments containing various ratios of garlic powder were conducted, yields of fruiting bodies were drasti[ally higher than those of Synthetic mixture without garlic powder The highest yield (143 g/bag) was obtained with $7\%$ garlic powder. The yield of synthetic mixture containing $7\%$ of garlic powder was $83\%$ higher than that of Sawdust culture. The reason why garlic powder did support growth was not clear but it is possible that garlic powder might contain effective components for the formation of fruiting body. The optimal synthetic mixture composition consisted of cotton seed $77\%$, lime $6.4\%,\;K_2HPO_4\;0.2\%,\;KH_2PO_4\;0.2\%,\;CaHPO_4\;0.2\%$, corn flour $4\%$, wheat flour $5\%$, and garlic pow-der $7\%$.

The structural vehicles are steel members of square or circle tube with definite shape. These members support various components and absorb impact energy to protect passengers during accidentswhen crash happen. Structural members need to be lightweight and stable. In this study, we do an impact simulation of a CFRP square member using finite element analysis program Ls-Dyna in order to predict fracture shape and energy absorb feature of CFRP member. Also, we make square member shape of CFRP and do an impact experiment. We compare the analytical and experimental results and consider the fracture shape and energy features of CFRP members.
In this study, we proposed new forming process for a porous ceramic body with unique pore structure. h tubular-type porous NiO-YSZ body with radially aligned pore channels was prepared by freeze-drying of aqueous slurry. A NiO-YSZ slurry was poured into the mold, which was designed to control the crystallization direction of the ice, followed by freezing. Thereafter the ice was sublimated at a reduced pressure. SEM observations revealed that the NiO-YSZ porous body showed aligned large pore channels parallel to the ice growth direction, and fine pores are formed around the outer surface of the tube. It was considered that the difference in the ice growth rate during the freezing process resulted in such a characteristic microstructure. Bilayer consisting of dense thin electrolyte film of YSZ onto the tubular type porous body has been successfully fabricated using a slurry-coating process followed by co-firing. It was regarded that the obtained bilayer structure is suitable for constructing electrode-support type electrochemical devices such as solid oxide fuel cells.
Enteral nutritional support has been used via tube feeding for dysphagic stroke patients. We performed long and short term trials to evaluate the effects of commercial enteral nutritional supports on nutrition and health in stroke patients (mRS = 3~5) and quality of life in their caregivers. For a long term study, we recruited chronic (${\geq}$ 1 yrs) stroke patients (n = 6) and administered them 6 cans/day (1,200 kcal) of the commercial enteral formula N for 6 months according to IRB-approved protocol. We collected peripheral blood at 0, 2, 4 and 6 months. For a short term study, we recruited acute (${\leq}$ 3 months) stroke patients (n = 12) and randomly administered them two different commercial enteral formulas, N or J, for 2 weeks. We collected their blood at 0, 4, 7 and 14 day of the administration. Blood samples were analyzed to quantify 19 health and nutritional biomarkers and an oxidative stress biomarker, malondialdehyde (MDA). In order to evaluate quality of life, we also obtained the sense of competence questionnaire (SCQ) from all caregivers at 'before' and 'after trials'. As results, the enteral formula, N, improved hemoglobin and hematocrit levels in the long term trial and maintained most of biomarkers within normal ranges. The SCQ levels of caregivers were improved in the long term treatment (P < 0.05). In a case of the short term study, both of enteral formulas were helpful to maintain nutritional status of the patients. In addition, MDA levels were decreased in the acute patients following formula consumption (0.05 < P < 0.1). Most of health and nutrition outcomes were not different, even though there is a big difference in price of the two products. Thus, we evaluate the formula N has equal nutritional efficacy compared to the formula J. In addition, long term use of enteral formula N can be useful to health and nutrition of stroke patients, and the quality of life for their caregivers.
