This paper aimed to reveal the needs and intentions of the people with developmental disabilities through AAC for supporting their independent living in the community and furthermore to contribute to realizing an inclusive community. From August 7 to September 11, 2020, trained researchers conducted 1to1 interviews(AAC) with 74 people recommended by specialized institutions. Data were analyzed by frequency-analysis, Chi-square-analysis and T-test using SPSS 25.0. As a result, the creation of community-level conditions(ex. housing and employment) and job aptitudes and preferences are important for the independent living and expectations and desires for social participation were high. It is different from the previous survey results through agents. It means the policy for the developmentally disabled should be based on their needs and aim for 'living in the community as a community member'. Based on these results, the implications of supporting decision-making for the ordinary lives of people with developmental disabilities were suggested.

Project Management Information System (PMIS) is a special purpose information system that is created to provide useful information for project managers and participants to make effective and efficient decision making during projects. The use of PMIS is increasing in project based industries such as construction, defense, manufacturing, software development, telecommunication, etc. It is generally known that PMIS helps to improve the quality of decision making in project management, and consequently improves the project management performance. However, it is unclear what are the difference of PMIS impacts between industries, and still need to be studied further. The purpose of this study is to compare the impact of PMIS on project management performance between industries. We assume that the effects of PMIS will be different depending on the industry types. Five hypotheses are established and tested by using statistical methods. Data were collected by using a survey questionnaire from those people who had experience of using PMIS in various project related industries such as construction, defense, manufacturing, software development and telecommunication. The survey questionnaire consists of 5 point scale items and were distributed through e-mails and google drive network. A total of 181 responses were collected, and 137 were used for analysis after excluding those responses with missing items. Statistical techniques such as factor analysis and multiple regression are used to analyze the data. Summarizing the results, it is found that the impacts of PMIS quality on the PM performance are different depending on the industry types where PMIS is used. System quality seems to be more important for improving the PM performance in construction industry while information quality seems more important for manufacturing industry. As for the ICT and R&D industries, PMIS seems to have relatively lesser impact compared to construction and manufacturing industries.

Strategic Environmental Impact Assessment (SEA) is a decision-making process taking into account the environmental impact, economic and social impact of policies, plans, and programs at the higher stage prior to the project plan for promoting sustainable development. In this study, we analyzed the process and criteria for selecting appropriate alternatives when establishing development plan in SEA. First, the criteria for estimating changes in ecosystem services following the implementation of development project of industrial complex were presented. Second, alternative evaluations were conducted through an analysis of ecosystem service scenarios to explore suitable alternatives in Anseong. As a result, the environmental quality of selected area as the existing project site deteriorated according to the implementation of the project, and the dimensional reduction technique confirmed that the change in ecosystem service factors in project area was the optimal location. In addition, the results of the scenario assessment to explore suitable alternatives in Anseong City showed that the existing site had large capacity in terms of water quality control services (scenario 1), scenario 2 in terms of preconditioning services, and scenario 3 in terms of water supply services. The guidance of Ecosystem service assessment is expected to be available in decision-making of large-scale strategies (e.g., SEA) and projects by presenting more quantitative criteria for determining the adequacy and location feasibility of development plans and policy plans. This is expected to require various support, including legislation and revision of related laws, believed to be supported by advanced research.

Objective: Machine learning algorithms excel at leveraging big data to identify complex patterns that can be used to aid in clinical decision-making. The objective of this study is to demonstrate the performance of machine learning models in predicting postoperative complications following anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF). Methods: Artificial neural network (ANN), logistic regression (LR), support vector machine (SVM), and random forest decision tree (RF) models were trained on a multicenter data set of patients undergoing ACDF to predict surgical complications based on readily available patient data. Following training, these models were compared to the predictive capability of American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA) physical status classification. Results: A total of 20,879 patients were identified as having undergone ACDF. Following exclusion criteria, patients were divided into 14,615 patients for training and 6,264 for testing data sets. ANN and LR consistently outperformed ASA physical status classification in predicting every complication (p < 0.05). The ANN outperformed LR in predicting venous thromboembolism, wound complication, and mortality (p < 0.05). The SVM and RF models were no better than random chance at predicting any of the postoperative complications (p < 0.05). Conclusion: ANN and LR algorithms outperform ASA physical status classification for predicting individual postoperative complications. Additionally, neural networks have greater sensitivity than LR when predicting mortality and wound complications. With the growing size of medical data, the training of machine learning on these large datasets promises to improve risk prognostication, with the ability of continuously learning making them excellent tools in complex clinical scenarios.
Recently, it is emphasized that the approach towards the development of smart cities as a driving force of sustainable economic growth of the city. Governments and municipalities are expected to expand the support for the smart city industry promotion, as the needs for smart city technology and service development, and investment for smart city industry increases. In order to promote the smart city policy as the driving force for the growth, it is necessary to understand the tendency of service development and its application. Governments and municipalities need a credible reference for their decision making on which smart city policy should be prioritized for the revitalization of the local economy by deploying certain smart city services according to the local industrial conditions. This study will analyze the trends of smart city services and suggest a reference data for decision making for the promotion of smart city industry.

Objectives: This is one of the manuals of East-West integrative medicine, which was created by the Committee on integrative medicine of Chung-Yeon Korean Medicine Hospital. To support clinical decision making and communication in the East-West cooperative treatment of mild cognitive impairment. Methods: Drafting was based on literature review from the MEDLINE, EMBASE, OASIS, and CNKI databases using search terms such as 'mild cognitive impairment', 'mild neurocognitive disorder', 'acupuncture', 'herbal medicine' and 'traditional Chinese medicine'. An amendment reflecting the goal of consultation and detailed treatment contents was made by reviewing the draft and holding discussion with the rehabilitation specialist of western medicine. The committee then agreed to adopt the manual through the process of review and feedback in addition to face-to-face discussions. Results: This manual contains the diagnosis of mild cognitive impairment, the goal of consultation, and the cooperative treatment contents of the East-West medicine for mild cognitive impairment. Conclusions: This manual provides significant information about the decision making process and contents of treatment in one medical institution for East-West cooperative treatment of mild cognitive impairment.
Purpose: Currently, port facility informatization technology is focused on the planning and design phases, so the necessity of research and technology development on the port facility maintenance system based on life cycle-level information is emphasized. Method: Based on the maintenance history data of port facilities and facility operation information, from the perspective of the life cycle of port facilities, the system is configured to enable maintenance decisions for port facilities through analysis of aging patterns, performance degradation prediction models, and risk analysis and proposed a method of expressing information. Result: A function was developed to simultaneously display the SOC performance evaluation and the comprehensive performance evaluation developed in this study, so that mid-to long-term maintenance and reinforcement and facility expansion can be applied and comparatively judged. Conclusion: The integrated port performance system developed in this study induces and supports the risk minimization of port facility management by proactively promoting appropriate repair and reinforcement measures through historical and operational information on port facilities.
Purpose - As the global product network expands through both internationalization and diversification of the multimodal transportation system, corporate strategies have shifted to emphasize the importance of a high value-added international logistics system. To guide policies and strategies to attract relevant industries, this study aims to analyze the location competitiveness of regional logistics distribution center to serve Northeast Asia. Design/methodology - Multi-criteria techniques are considered to offer a promising framework for evaluating decision-making factors. This paper employed an analytic hierarchy process to analyze the hierarchal structure of determinants for selecting the location of a regional logistics distribution center. Adopting both qualitative and quantitative evaluations, this study suggest political implications for a regional logistics distribution center development, such as the direction of political support, service differentiation and infrastructure development. Findings - This study developed a location competitiveness evaluation model, based on the case study of the major port-cities in Northeast Asia. Evaluation model incorporates five factors underpinning 17 components extracted using factor analysis. The results revealed that the logistics factor is the most significant factor for evaluating the competitiveness of a regional logistics distribution center. The remaining factors were market, costs, and services environment. Comparing qualitative and quantitative evaluations, results provide useful insights for a regional logistics distribution center development in Northeast Asia. Originality/value - This study revealed differences between qualitative and quantitative evaluations. The finding implies that prior works on evaluation models of competitiveness has not successfully measured the gap between quantitative data and expert' evaluations. To overcome this limitation, this paper considered both actual data such as actual distance, cost, the number of companies located, and expert opinions.

In order to respond to the complexity and uncertainty of water management due to the climate crisis, K-water established a digital twin water management platform based on our experience in operating ICT infrastructure such as hydrological data sensing and high-quality data management and water management capabilities. In this platform, data from related organizations and real-time observation data in the basin are displayed on 3D topographic domain. Also it is configured to support optimal decision-making through simulation for various situations, displaying and analyzing results, and feedback on them. It is completed to establish the platform for Sunjim river basin. Based on this technologies and experience, K-water is planning to expand this digital twin to 5 major rivers in Korea. Through this, it plans to build comprehensive decision-making system for efficient water management considering various conditions in entire basin. Also it aims to create a new water industrial ecosystem and contribute to secure technological competitiveness cooperating with private companies.
The purpose of this study is to introduce the concept of community resilience to rural society and build an index suitable for the reality of rural areas. Furthermore, by calculating the importance of evaluation factors, it was attempted to present priorities and alternatives for each evaluation factor. By stratifying the derived indicators, a survey was conducted targeting 20 researchers, practitioners, and public officials, three groups of experts working in rural areas who were well aware of the realities and problems of rural areas. In the survey, a pairwise comparison was performed to compare factors 1:1 to calculate the importance, and for rational and consistent decision-making, decisions were made in the 9-grade section. Using the collected data, consistency analysis that can evaluate reliability in the decision-making process and the relative weight of evaluation factors were calculated through AHP analysis. As a result of the analysis, as a result of examining the priority of final importance by summarizing the importance of all evaluation factors, 'Income creation using resources' > 'Population Characteristics' > 'Tolerance' > 'External Support' > 'Social Accessibility' > 'Physical Accessibility' > 'Community Competence' > 'Infrastructure' > 'Leader Competence' > 'Natural Environment' was derived in the order. In the study dealing with urban community resilience indicators, social aspects such as citizen participation, public-private cooperation, and governance were presented as the most important requirements, but this study differs in that the 'income creation' factor is derived as the most important factor. This can be seen through the change in the income difference between rural and urban areas. The income structure of rural areas has changed rapidly, and it is now reaching a very poor level, so it is necessary to prepare alternatives to 'income creation' in the case of rural areas. Unlike urban indicators, 'population characteristics' and 'tolerance' were also derived as important indicators of rural society. However, there are currently no alternatives to supplement the vulnerability by strengthening the resilience of rural communities. Based on the priority indicators derived from the study, we tried to suggest alternatives necessary for rural continuity in the future so that they can be supplemented step by step.
