THE M/G/1 FEEDBACK RETRIAL QUEUE WITH TWO TYPES OF CUSTOMERS

  • In M/G/1 retrial queueing system with two types of customers and feedback, we derived the joint generating function of the number of customers in two groups by using the supplementary variable method. It is shown that our results are consistent with those already known in the literature when ${\delta}_k\;=\;0(k\;=\;1,\;2),\;{\lambda}_1\;=\;0\;or\;{\lambda}_2\;=\;0$.

초등학교 수학과 학생평가 실태 분석 (A Study on the Student Assessment of Elementary School Mathematics)

  • The purpose of this study is to diagnose the current states and the problems of student assessment of Elementary School Mathematics. For that purpose, this study conducted a survey and had the individual interviews. The surrey items consisted of the six main parts: questions about the development of assessment tools, the method to assess, the grading, the special supplementary courses, the opening of learning effect, and the follow-up guidances. The results of this study are as the follow First, elementary teachers depended heavily on internet sites for developing assessment problems. Second, elementary teachers made use of a performance assessment, a unit assessment, and a term examination at ordinary times. Third, unit assessment was largely referred for grading by elementary teachers. Fourth, in selecting the students for the special supplementary courses, both criterion-referenced assessment and norm-referenced assessment were considered. After finishing the special supplementary courses, additional tests were usually taken. Fifth, elementary teachers took a negative attitude in opening of learning effect. specialty opening of test paper to parents of students was done under 30%. Sixth, fellow-up guidances were the most through the classroom guidances. but consulting with parents of students was not frequently conducted by teachers.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the focus of key issues - the view, the trouble, supplementary measures and future divection research, and commercialization${\cdot}$ popularization on natural dyeing. Delphi tests were performed with 36 professional in the academic, the industrial, and the art world. Questionnaire of 1round composed of open-ended question related the view, the trouble, supplementary measures and future divection research and commercialization${\cdot}$popularization. And a 5 point Likert Scale was used to evaluate them in 2 and 3 round. Results of this study and the order of importance in the focus of key issues are as following: The trouble are immoral business ability, using of excessive mordant and lack of standardization. Supplementary measures and future divection research are dyer education, choosing stuff on natural dyeing and consumer education${\cdot}$publicity. And commercialization${\cdot}$popularization are the development of brand, the production of specific goods by regional groups, high-grade articles and the certification system in quality.

부부간 커뮤니케이션 유형에 관한 연구 (Husbands and Wives Communication Styles in Marital Interaction)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate communication styles in married couples. The subjects are a total of 301 couples living in Seoul. The main results are summarized as follows: 1. The styles of marital communication are consisted of 5 factors which are reproachful attitude, rational attitude, concessive attitude, unilateral attitude, and unconcerned attitude. 2. The styles of marital communication are classified into 5 styles in husbands which are arbitrary style, obeident style, authoritarian style, unconcerned style, and respectful style, and in wives, 4 styles which are arbitrary style, obeident style, unconcerned style, and respectful style. 3. The husband's arbitrary style and wives' unconcerned style are differently perceived by husbands and wives. 4. The relations of marital communication styles are classified into 3 relations which are supplementary relation, antagonistic relation, and equal relation. 5. In the case of equal relation and supplementary relation in comparison with antagonistic relation, husbands satisfy more with their wives' communication. And in the case of antagonistic relation in comparison with supplementary relation, husbands and wives want more to change of spouses' communication. 5. The relations of marital communication styles are affected in husbans by education, in wives by age, and family life cycle.

  • 최근 사용자가 주체가 되는 웹 2.0의 교육적 활용에 대한 설계원리가 적용된 학습이 많이 제시되고 있다. 웹 2.0의 많은 요소들 중에서도 블로그는 집단에서 개인 중심으로 변해가는 웹의 경향을 잘 반영한 도구이며 게시판 같은 도구와 달리 개방적이며 정보와 콘텐츠의 생산 및 확산에 쉽게 동참할 수 있는 출발점이 되는 도구이다. 본 논문은 웹 2.0 기술과 교육을 연결시킨 새로운 학습 방법을 고안하려는 차원에서, 대학교육에서의 학습자들이 학습자 중심형 UI/UX 디자인이 적용된 블로그 기반 학습도구를 보조학습 도구로 활용을 할 경우 학습성과에 어떠한 영향을 미치는가에 대한 연구를 목적으로 한다. 연구도구로써 사용자 중심의 설계가 가능한 설치형 블로그를 실험환경에 적용하였으며 이에 따른 설문결과와 학습평가점수, 과제수행점수의 분석을 통해 학습자 중심형 UI/UX 디자인이 적용된 블로그 기반의 보조학습도구가 학습성취도와 학습몰입도에 영향을 준다는 결론을 얻게 되었다.

“병안의 촛불실험” 지도를 위한 새로운 접근 (A New Approach to Teaching “Candle도s Combustion in a Bottle” Experiment)

  • The purpose of this study was to survey the thinking of children, preliminary elementary teachers and elementary teachers in relation to the experiment of candle's combustion in a bottle on the water, to develop some supplementary experiments for the correction of the misconception on this experiment and to propose a new teaching method for this subject-matter The results of this study can be summarized as follows. 1. Most of the answers are related to the simple observation as the extinguishing of candlelight and the water rising in the bottle after a candle's combustion. And it is appeared that all the groups are similarly short of the ability of experimental design to verify the cause and effect. 2. from the results of the developed supplementary experiments, it is concluded that the main cause of the water rising is not the combustion of oxygen, but the expansion of volume and the releasing of air in the bottle in the bottle by heat of candle's combustion. 3. Based on the above results, a new direction for the teaching method of this subject is proposed.

영아의 수유 및 보충식에 대한 조사연구 (A Survey Of Infant Feeding Practices In Seoul, 1991.)

  • A survey of infant practices was conducted to provide information on which to base planned nursing interventions. The subjects were a convenience sample of 168 mothers visiting out - patients departments of five general hospitals and one public health center in Seoul for immunizations or treatment for common colds for their infants from two to 12 months of age. Data collection was carried out from July 8th to September 30th, 1991 using a questionnaire of 84 questions, 31 on the type of feeding, 22 on supplementary feeding and 21 on demographic infer mation. The results are summarized as follows : 1) The type of feeding was primarily artificial feed-ing (63.1%), followed by mixed feeding (22%) and breast feeding (14.9%) of the 59 mothers expecting during pregnancy to breast feed, 54. 2% changed artificial feeding and 30.5% went on to breast feed as they had expected. For mothers expecting to continue breast feeding over seven months. only one infant was being breast fed for over seven months. 2) For the 106 mothers using artificial feeding, 70. 8% hed attempted breast feeding, 64% of them for less than a month. Breast milk had been suppressed by for medication (38.7%) : 34.9% had used no specia] means. 3) The major reasons for replacing breast feeding with artificial feeding were the infants' demand for more milk (47.2% ) and insufficient supply of breast milk (49.3%). 4) Most mixed feeding was started at the age of one to three months (59.5%). Only 34.4% gave an artificial feeding after breast feeding : most (46%) alternated breast feeding with artificial feeding. On the whole, the motive for mixed feeding was the lack of breast milk (70.3%). 5) Many mothers (81.8%) were adding vitamin or mineral supplements to artificial milk and 51.5% were adding something to faciliate digestion. As for the method of sterilizing milk bottles and nipples, 56% had sterilized them together in boiling water from the beginning : 27% were just washing the bottles after boiling only once initially when measuring artificial milk powder, 31. 5% of the mothers over filled the measuring spoon rather than to the level. 6) The mother's occupation was related to her way of feeding. Mothers at home full time did more breast feeding than mothers employed outside the home. (x²=5.72, p=〈0.05). 7) Most mothers began supplementary food, from three to four months (48.8%) : 11.2% began later than seven months. Supplementary food was given between milk feedings by 67.2% of the mothers : 19.2% gave it before a milk feeding. Some mothers(26.4%) made their own supplementary food : 19.2% used ready - made supplementary food products for convenience. Recommendations for nursing interventions included : 1. Prenatal education about the advantages of breast feeding and breast care, and home visits after delivery for counselling related to breast feeding. Correct preparation of artificial feeding methods need to be taught in both pre & postnatal periods. In addition, specific education about supplementary feeding needed. 2. Further research is indicated about the Perceived lack of supply of breast milk and about the effectiveness of nursing interventions to Promote breast feeding.

수학학습부진아 지도를 위한 도움자료의 개발과 효과 분석 (The development of teaching material for stow learners in mathematics and the analysis of its effect)

  • The purposes of this study were to develop an effective teaching material for slow learners in mathematics and to investigate its effect. To achieve the first goal, several pre-used teaching material and the 7th national curriculum for elementary school mathematics were analyzed to set up a framework fur developing new teaching material. Using these developed framework and curriculum data, 370 units of lesson were developed from the 3rd grade to the 6th grade. To investigate the effect of the material, 3 slow learners (2 from the 5th and 1 from the 6th grade) were selected through diagnostic tests. Then supplementary lessons were administered after school to relieve their disability accordingly for seven months. During the lessons(lasted about 40 minutes), teacher observed the subjects in detail and .judged the teaming sequence and the learning pace. Through this observation and the test administered after the treatment, several conclusions were drawn as follow: First, the supplementary lessons using the developed teaching material helped slow learners understand mathematics and solve problems. Especially, the test scores gained on formative evaluation became higher. This might be caused by the material that enabled to relieve the disablement and the teaching method that aimed to give a meaningful mathematical experience. Second, the supplementary lessons affected positively to the affective domain of the slow learners. They convinced themselves to their mathematical ability and became active in their mathematics class. This was observed by researcher and the class teacher in their lessons. Positive attitude toward mathematics and their ability is quite important for mathematics learning especially fur slow learners in mathematics.

FTA 국내보완대책의 평가와 과제: 농·축산업분야를 중심으로 (Evaluation and Tasks of FTA Domestic Supplementary Measures in the Area of Agriculture and Livestock Industry)

  • This study closely examines domestic supplementary measures implemented for Free Trade Agreements (FTA) concerning the agriculture and livestock industry and finds out their problems and put forward improvement measures in terms of their system and contents. The systematic problems with previously established supplementary measures are as follows. First, the existing short and long term measures does not comply with each FTA's special and unique economical, political and legislative purpose. Secondly, they focus on improvements for individual FTAs. They must be holistic and integrative considering all FTAs, thus producing synergy to reach better policy overall. Lastly, FTA policies and the measures must reflect the expanding size and scope of regional economic integration. Problems or concerns in existing supplementary measures include first, flexible financing. The government hands out loans to players in the industry based on assets but these loans must be flexible to market interest changes and must include reduced mortgage rate options. Secondly, rigid standards that trigger direct loss prevention, establishing maximum and minimum loan limits, and developing a comprehensive standard for identifying crops to support are all problems that need to be addressed. Thirdly, education of next and future agricultural generation is paramount in building a competitive workforce. Fourthly, the government must identify industries lacking in performance or short in supply to cease or reducing funding. Last but not least, the government should actively search for new markets for export and produce long term road maps for export growth.

PCR-DGGE as a Supplemental Method Verifying Dominance of Culturable Microorganisms from Activated Sludge

  • To verify the dominance of microorganisms in wastewater biological treatment, PCR-DGGE (denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis) was performed as a supplementary support method for screening of the dominant microorganisms from activated sludge. Results suggest that the dominant microorganisms in activated sludge are primarily responsible for strengthening its effectiveness as a biological treatment system, followed by the non-main dominant microorganisms, whereas the non-dominant microorganisms showed no effects. The degree of microbial abundance present on the profile of PCR-DGGE was in line with the treatment efficiency of augmented activated sludge with isolated cultures, suggesting that PCR-DGGE can be used as an effective supplementary method for verifying culturable dominant microorganisms in activated sludge of coking wastewater.
