The pathogenesis of IgA nephropathy and acute poststreptococcal glomerulonephritis is not fully understood. In the past, acute poststreptococcal glumerulonephritis was the most common cause of gross hematuria in children, but now IgA nephropathy is the most common one. We experienced two cases of acute poststreptococcal glomerulonephritis superimposing to IgA nephropathy in boys Case 1 had upper respiratory infection before elevation of anti-streptolysin O, generalized edema, gross hematuria and proteinuria. The complement levels were normal. Electron microscopic findings of renal biopsy at ten days after onset showed a few big subepithelial 'humps' and localized heavy subendothelial and mesangial deposits. Immunofluoroscopic findings revealed predominant IgA deposition in the mesangium. The electron microscopic findings were diagnostic of acute poststreptococcal glomerulonephritis On the other hand, immunoflorescence microscopic findings were compatible to IgA nephropathy. In case 2, the renal biopsy which was done 2 years after onset showed only finding of IgA nephropathy. To our knowledges, there has been kw reports of acute poststreptococcal glomerulonephritis superimposing to IgA nephropathy which was confirmed by renal biopsy. We report two cases of acute poststreptococcal glomerulonephritis superimposing: to IgA nephropathy with a brief review of the literatures.

In this paper, an effective procedure is presented for the local recovery of displacements and stresses in multilayered composite panels, which incorporate the local refinement using mesh superposition. The mesh superposition method is used to refine the global coarse mesh by superimposing refined mesh to the localized zone of interest without transition zones. The finite element model used is a solid element based on the Hellinger-Reissner variational principle. The a posteriori computation of the through-the-thickness distributions of displacements and stresses is achieved using a predictor-corrector procedure. The procedure utilizes the superconvergent stresses and nodal displacements of the finite element patch. The element patch is generated by locally superimposing a refined local mesh to the coarse global mesh.

The purpose of this study is to help understanding of abstract patterns and to play a guideline's role in the development of designs and the prediction of trends for present and future fashion designers and textile designers. The summary of this study's results is like followings. Formative characteristics of abstract pattern in 2000's fashion are Impromptu, Anti-mechanism, Superimposing, Disorder. First, Impromptu is rebounce against uniformity, mechanism, man-created beauty Second, Anti-mechanism represents unfinishing, unbalance, inaccuracy and relates with each traditional of nation or ethnic group. Third, Presupposing transparency Superimposing offsets each patterns. So Their images are ambiguity, ununiformity, unequality, incompletion, uncertainty and so on. Fourth, Disorder breaks and ignores physical balance, rule, order and so on. These images represent uncertainty, freedom, naturality. From this result, I can interpret that these images are representing of humanism reacting about uniformity, mechanism, man-created beauty, completeness of modernism since the Industrial Revolution.

By employing the concept of superimposing the induced current on partial scattere roled as a secondary source, matrix Green's function was derived. The procedure in the way of derivation presented here was based on the equivalence principle and the induction theorem and applying moment methods to the resulting electric field integral equation. As examples, the induced current on scatterers consisted of wire/plate conductor, the input impedance and gain patterns of corner reflector antenna were calculated. And computing times required for solving matrix equation were compared with those of conventional method.

The purposes of this study were to develope some techniques which can be used in the landscape simulation process using PC based computer grahics. As a result, a couple of utilities were programmed in AutoLISP language. The one(DSLINE.LSP) is to digitize 2-dimensional structuer forms in the interactive mode considering error handling, and the other one (IMPOST.LSP) is for superimposing and visualizing the digitized plan data to 3-dimension solids & surfaces referring to topographic elevations of meshes in digital terrain model. By applying utilities to present site, the followings may be described. 1) The utility DSLINE.LSP for digitizing simplified building structure form were proved to be easy to input data of polygons including orthogonal edges by handling user coordinates system and checking invalid intersection and default colsing. 2) IMPOST.LSP utility for superimposing and visualizing tool were proved to be more complicated and speedy in calculating process compared with a practical application of modeling tool before rendering process in landscape simulation of built environment on topographic relief, on specially mesospace level of assessment.
The objective of this research was to compare the precision of scanning the digital abutment impression and gypsum model according to 3-dimensional superimposing different skills. There were made with the abutment impression and gypsum model of a maxillary 1st premolar, blue light scanner scanned to obtain the stereolithography (STL) file. After the same process was performed 10 more times without moving them on the scanner table about the abutment impression and gypsum model, respectively (n=11, per types). By superimposing the date of scanning the abutment impression and gypsum model used with no control and best-fit-alignment skills, 10 color-difference maps and root mean square (RMS) data were obtained. The independent t-test was performed to compare RMS data between the each other groups (${\alpha}=0.05$). In the scanning abutment impressions, $RMS{\pm}SD$ of no control, best-fit-alignment showed $6.86{\pm}0.94$, $5.04{\pm}0.24$. in the scanning gypsum model, $4.98{\pm}1.16$, $3.39{\pm}0.07$, all groups showed a significant difference (P<0.001). Trough the this study's result, not only best-fit-alignment but no control is used with digital dental computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM) research and clinical part.

Sound manipulation is to control sound field using multiple sound sources for appropriate purposes. In linear acoustics, a sound can be constructed by superimposing several fundamental sound fields such as a planewave and sphere shape sound field. That is how we manipulate sound field. In this paper, we introduce the theory of sound manipulation and its applications from the examples of the generation of fundamental sound field: a circle, a ring shape sound field and a planewave field.
We have developed an active front steering system(AFS) with a planetary gear train, which can vary the steering gear ratio according to the vehicle speed and improve vehicle stability by superimposing steering angle. We conducted vehicle tests showing that co-operated control of AFS with ESP can improve vehicle stability by direct control of tire slip angle and that steering reaction torque during AFS intervention can be compensated by torque compensation using electric power steering.

The trend of the regulations on environmental issues are getting tight. Responding to this trend new technologies such as moving electrodes, wide pitch and pulsed power supply are also introduced in the electrostatic precipitator(EP) systems. The introduction of wide pitch and moving electrodes enhances the system performance of the EPs by improving air-flow and by improving the ash reentrainment on rapping. The power supplies for the EPs developed up to date include thyristor-based dc or intermittent type, SMPS(switching mode power supply) type and the pulsed-power supply type. The use of the pulsed ones is known to improve dust-collecting efficiency of high resistivity ash and reduces back corona occurrence in the collecting plate. There are two kinds of pulsed-power supplies; one with pulsed transformers and the other with direct dc switching devices. The latter uses rotary spark gap switches or semiconductor switches. Both have the merits and demerits: the spark gap switches are simple and robust but has short life time, hence, high maintenance cost, whereas the semiconductor switches have long life time but are costly. In this study, A high voltage power supply with superimposing voltage pulse on dc source was developed for EPs. This study describes circuit topology, operating principle of the scheme, and analysis of experimental results on Dong-Hae Power Plant. The pulsed power supply consists of a variable dc power supply with ratings of 60kV, 800mA and pulse generator which is made of high voltage thyristor-diode switch strings, an LC resonant tank and a blocking inductor. The pulse generator generates variable pulse-voltage up to 70kV using a high frequency resonant inverter with a variable dc source. Two prototypes were built and tested on 250MW DongHae power plant to verify the possibility of the commercial use and the normal operation in the transient states.
