This study explored the issues of industrial mathematics in online news articles and online forums in Korea and the US by using text mining and compared the results. Text data about industrial mathematics were collected from news articles of Naver, a major portal site, and postings and replies on Clien as resources of Korea, and from news articles by the New York Times and CNN as well as postings and replies on Reddit as resources of the US. Structural topic modeling analyses were performed, the major results of which were as follows. First, news articles in Korea mainly dealt with the necessity of industrial mathematics and government support. On the contrary, the news articles in the US focused more on various fields where industrial mathematics fields were utilized. Second, in Korea, the same number of issues with different topics were discussed in news articles and online forums, whereas in the US more issues were covered in news articles than in online forums. It was suggested academic implications for researchers and practical implications for the government for settling industrial mathematics in Korea.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to identify research trends related to ESG by domestic and overseas researchers so far, and to present research directions and clues for the possibility of applying ESG to Korean companies in the future and ESG practice through comparison of derived topics. Research design, data and methodology: In this study, as of October 20, 2022, after searching for the keyword 'ESG' in 'scienceON', 341 domestic papers with English abstracts and 1,173 overseas papers were extracted. For analysis, word frequency analysis, word co-occurrence frequency analysis, BERTopic, LDA, and OLS regression analysis were performed to confirm trends for each topic using Python 3.7. Results: As a result of word frequency analysis, It was found that words such as management, company, performance, and value were commonly used in both domestic and overseas papers. In domestic papers, words such as activity and responsibility, and in overseas papers, words such as sustainability, impact, and development were included in the top 20 words. As a result of analyzing the co-occurrence frequency of words, it was confirmed that domestic papers were related mainly to words such as company, management, and activity, and overseas papers were related to words such as investment, sustainability, and performance. As a result of topic modeling, 3 topics such as named ESG from the corporate perspective were derived for domestic papers, and a total of 7 topics such as named sustainable investment for overseas papers were derived. As a result of the annual trend analysis, each topic did not show a relatively increasing or decreasing tendency, confirming that all topics were neutral. Conclusions: The results of this study confirmed that although it is desirable that domestic papers have recently started research on consumers, the subject diversity is lower than that of overseas papers. Therefore, it is suggested that future research needs to approach various topics such as forecasting future risks related to ESG and corporate evaluation methods.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to provide information for other journals as well as the continuous development of distribution science research by confirming the globalization performance of the Journal of Distribution Science (JDS), the main journal of KODISA. Research Design, Data, and Methodology: A total of 863 papers published in JDS from 2011 to 2021 searched by scienceON were divided into 4 periods and analyzed under the headings of submission system, standardity, collaboration, and degree of achievement of publication goals. SPSS 24.0 and R 4.1.1 package were used to perform the publication frequency analysis, crosstab-analysis, keyword frequency analysis, and LDA topic modeling were performed. In addition, trend analysis with weight applied to each word was performed. Results: It was found that the ratio of English-written papers, which is the indicator of a journal's starndardity, is continuously increasing, and the ratio of overseas authors, which is the indicator of collaboration, is also continuously increasing. It was confirmed through keyword trend analysis by period and LDA topic modeling results - which were weighted to confirm the degree of achievement of the journal's publication goal - that the articles published by the journal has been in agreement with monthly research topic proposed by JDS. Conclusion: By examining the five criteria for globalization, it can be concluded that JDS's efforts for globalization are achieving significant results and providing effective directions for other academic journals. However, in order for JDS to become a top academic journal, it was suggested that efforts should be made to establish a system for collaborative research by domestic and foreign authors, as well as to provide a clear definition for the monthly research topics and classification of sub-topics.

The aim of this study is to identify the research topics and suggest an information literacy curriculum by analyzing research articles on information literacy. For this purpose, we applied the topic modeling technique to 97 scientific articles and identified the core contents of information literacy education, such as media literacy, information literacy instruction, and the use of information resources. Based on the analysis results, we suggested an information literacy curriculum by considering the Big 6 model, information literacy standards of American Association of School Library, and Association of College and Research Libraries's information literacy competencies. This study is significant in that it considered 'use of information resources' and 'information ethics' to suggest information literacy education.

This study examines a Korean elementary school EFL teacher's practice of teacher-based assessment (TBA), a subject which has been little researched despite the authorities' strong call for its implementation. The classroom interactions for TBA were observed and audio-recorded in eight fifth-grade classes between March and June 2010. Additionally, the teacher and students were interviewed in a semi-structured way. The results showed that the teacher used three types of TBA: assessment of individual students on different topics, assessment of the entire class on the same topic, and assessment of individual students on the same topic. Due mainly to time constraints during class time and classroom management issues, the teacher preferred implementing the first two types of TBA. During the practice of the types, the teacher provided prompts or posed questions in ways that elicited responses which were short in length and easy. Although the third type of TBA was perceived by both the teacher and students as helping students enhance their EFL proficiency and was the most favored by the students, it was viewed by the teacher as having the potential of causing classroom management difficulties. Based on the findings, a number of implications are suggested.

Objective: The purpose of this study was to understand the research trends of inclusive child-care for young children with disabilities and suggest some implications for future research on inclusive child-care. Methods: There were a total 330 previous research papers about child-care inclusion, which means the practice of educating and caring for children aged 0 to 5 years old with disabilities alongside their typically developing peers at child-care centers. The studies were analyzed in terms of main research topic, subject, and research methods. Results: The major results of this study were as follow. First, a quantitative increase of the research since 2003 and a sharp increase of total research in this area since 2006 were found. Second, as a result of the main topic analysis, recognition and attitude research was the most frequently conducted, followed by the research about child-care programs, teacher and family support, and the effect of inclusive child-care. Third, more than half of the researches were done by teachers. Lastly, quantitative research methods were mainly used. Conclusion/Implications: Based on these findings, this study suggested to extend the research on inclusive child-care effect, intervention programs, non-disabled children, infants, and qualitative research.

Recently, with the technological development of artificial intelligence, related market is expanding rapidly. In the artificial intelligence technology field, which is still in the early stage but still expanding, it is important to reduce uncertainty about research direction and investment field. Therefore, this study examined technology trends using text mining and topic modeling among big data analysis methods and suggested trends of core technology and future growth potential. We hope that the results of this study will provide researchers with an understanding of artificial intelligence technology trends and new implications for future research directions.

Photovoltaic devices are promising candidates as affordable and large-area renewable energy sources, which can replace the fossil-fuel-based resources. Especially, thin film solar cells have attracted increasing research attention, since they have a great advantage of low production cost. From the physical point of view, the photovoltaic devices can provide us interesting questions, how to enhance the light absorption and the carrier collection efficiency. A lot of approaches would be possible to address these issues. We have focused on two major topics relevant to photovoltaic device physics; (1) light management using surface plasmons and (2) junction characterizations aiming at proper interface engineering. Regarding the first topic, we have investigated the influences of Ag under-layer morphology on optical properties of ZnO thin films. The experimental results suggested that coupling between the surface plasmon polaritons at the ZnO/Ag interface and excitons in ZnO should play important roles in reflectivity of the ZnO/Ag thin films, which are widely used back reflector structures in thin film solar cells. For the second topic, we have carried out scanning probe microscopy studies of Schottky junctions consisting of photovoltaic materials. Such a research is very helpful to understand the correlation between the defects (e.g., grain boundaries) and local electrical properties. We will introduce some of the recent experimental results and discuss the physical significance.

Purpose: The purpose of this study is to explore the trends of research related to ethical topics in Korean nursing students. Methods: A total of 131 articles that were published from 2000 to 2020 were analyzed and summarized according to publishing type, research design, subject, data analysis method, main research topic, research variables and instrument. Results: Most studies were journal articles (93.9%) and their most frequent research design was survey (75.7%). The research subjects covered all grades (35.1%) or they were divided between clinical nursing practicum (29.8%) or not (21.4%). The main research topics were biomedical ethics, ethical values, moral judgment and ethics education. Recently, ethical decision making and practical ability in nursing practice were reported. The instruments for measuring variables were limited and the same tools were used several times. Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study, it is suggested that the selection of various research topics and the application of research methods related to ethics for nursing students will continue in response to rapidly changing social phenomena in the future. In particular, it is necessary that research related to ethical and practical ability as well as ethical attitudes and perceptions of nursing students be actively carried out.

The purpose of this study is to explore which areas have been more interested in depression research in Korea through analysis of academic papers related to depression, and then to provide insights that can solve future depression problems. 1,032 papers searched with the keyword "depression" in scienceON were analyzed using Python 3.7 for word frequency analysis, word co-occurrence analysis, BERTopic, LDA, and OLS regression analysis. The results of word frequency and co-occurrence frequency analysis showed that related words were composed around words such as patient, disorder and symptom. As a result of topic modeling, a total of 13 topics including 'childhood depression' and 'eating anxiety' were derived. And it has been identified as a topic of interest that 'suicidal thoughts', 'treatment', 'occupational health', and 'health treatment program' were statistically significant topics, while 'child depression' and 'female treatment' were relatively less. As a result of the analysis of research trends, future research will not only study physiological and psychological factors but also social and environmental causes, as well as it was suggested that various collaborative studies of experts in academia were needed such as convergence and complex perspectives for depression relief and treatment.
