RC Circuit Parameter Estimation for DC Electric Traction Substation Using Linear Artificial Neural Network Scheme (선형인공신경망을 이용한 직류 전철변전소의 RC 회로정수 추정)

  • Overhead line voltage of DC railway traction substations has rising or falling characteristics depending on the acceleration and regenerative braking of the subway train loads. The suppression of this irregular fluctuation of the line voltage gives rise to improved energy efficiency of both the railway substation and the trains. This paper presents parameter estimation schemes using the RC circuit model for an overhead line voltage at a 1500V DC electric railway traction substation. A linear artificial neural network with a back-propagation learning algorithm was trained using the measurement data for an overhead line voltage and four feeder currents. The least square estimation method was configured to implement batch processing of these measurement data. These estimation results have been presented and performance analysis has been achieved through raw data simulation.

  • This paper suggest away to maintain constant power through trolley wire by transferring increased line voltage to the AC main line while changing the mode from Converter(Forward) to Inverter(Reverse) when the line voltage is increased due to regenerative power when the train stops, This paper suggests a Double Converter DC substation that can create regenerative power when the train stops reusable. We also proposed using a simulation tool, the optimal Thyrister firing angle that can minimize the undershoot and overshoot that occurs when transferring the mode from Converter to Inverter for quality improvement of DC voltage in the Double Converter in the DC substation from the Busan Urban Subway.

  • Currents which are generated at both ends of drive motor by operating brake pedal when subway train is driving, will generate the reviltalization actual effect if they are not used immediately. So there exist rolling stock established Dynamic braking annex for the purpose of stable brake performance in case there are no retrogress train around or no stable wiring voltage.Therefore 55% of entered energy are consumed in subway train. 45% are used in down gradient section or for regeneration energy and among them 25% are used for another train's retrogression through the wiring. So to reduce reviltalization method keeping the existing system, substation's service voltage should be declined about 5%. And then it will ease off excessive wiring voltage rise. And there need energy reduction by flexible service voltage adjustment and study for energy consumption efficiency in the subway.

  • The paper presents methods of determining the capacity and installation positions of regenerative inverters installed in DC 1500V electric railway system. We suggested a method that approximates using parameters related to substations where regenerative inverters are installed, railway lines and operating motor cars, and another that calculates using regenerative power obtained from Train performance Simulation (TPS) and Power Flow Simulation (PFS). We carried out TPS and PFS for Seoul Subway Line $5{\sim}8$, calculating regenerative power and determining substations where regenerative inverters would be installed and the optimal capacity and number of inverters to be installed.

  • Even the case DC circuit Breaker have good quality for interruption of high current like heavy load current, short-circuit current, the verification for small current breaking capability of circuit breaker should be performed. It comes from the reason DC small current breaking failure can be lead to break out second heavy fault condition and in the long run substation shutdown. In this paper, we can find the characteristics of DC small current and international test standard discription about small current breaking and one of the proper solution to get over it.

A Study on the Confirmation of non-flammabikity of the Cast Resin Mold Transformer in Subway Substation (지하철 변전실용 진공주형형 몰드변압기의 난연성 확인에 관한 연구)

  • This dissertationhas confirmed the non-flam mability of cast mold transformer that is increasingly used lately. As a research progress, the investigation has been performed on the installation status and each line of the subway system which have the most mold transformer accidents, and the impediment status of the transformer for rectifier and the high-voltage distribution transformer per each manufacturer. Then, a high voltage mold of the actual mold transformer has been installed in the horiwntal heating furnace and the heat has been applied by the standard heating temperature curve of KSF 2257(Fireproof testing meth od of the construction structures: 1993). Accordingly, the combustibility of the mold transformer based on the test results has been found that 78 minutes has been required for the complete burning per the KSF 2257 combustion test curve and that, after stopping the heat application of the horizontal furnace after ignition, the flame progress has not been made but shown as the self-extinguishing characteristics when the flame progress has been checked. Thus, the non-flammability and self-extinguishability of the mold transformer have been confirmed. The result of this dissertation has indicated that the accident involving mold transformer has been progressed and expanded by the dielectric breakdown or void due to the crack in the mold rather than a fire accident caused by a short-circuit or an overload.r an overload.
