지하철 역사에서 실내 내비게이션 서비스를 위한 KAI-R 시스템 (KAI-R: KAIST Railroad Indoor Navigation System for Subway Station)

  • 급속히 늘어난 스마트폰의 보급은 인간의 라이프 스타일 변화에 영향을 미치고 있으며, 스마트폰 기반 위치정보는 실내외 공간에서 다양한 편의성 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 환경을 마련하고 있다. 특히, GPS 정보가 제공되고 있지 않은 지하공간의 경우에서 위치 기반 서비스가 제공된다면 정보약자와 교통약자를 위한 길 찾기와 길 안내 등 많은 편의를 제공할 수 있다. 그러나, 지하철 역사에서 길 안내 서비스 구현은 측위 정확도를 확보하는 것은 여전히 어려운 과제이다. 본 연구는 지하철 역사에서 실내 내비게이션을 위해 선행되어야 하는 모든 과정을 하나의 시스템에서 수행할 수 있도록 융합 측위 알고리즘과 함께 연속 측위에서 사용하는 새로운 보행자 걸음 인식기법을 개발하고, 평가하고 있다.

지하철 역사 내 벽면녹화가 생리심리학적 스트레스 완화에 미치는 영향 (Reduced Physio-psychological Stress Responses to the Green Wall in Subway Station)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the response of the human body to stress induced by wall recording of subway stations in the city center. The experiment was conducted as a simulation exercise, and six images were selected and produced based on Subway Line 2, a representative underground space in Seoul. The study participants included 24 male and female college students. A three-minute experiment was conducted, during which the participants were shown the control image and green wall image once each. To measure psychological status, the following measurement indicators were used: Semantic Differential, Positive Affect and Negative Affect Schedule and State-Trait Anxiety Inventory. Physiological changes were investigated by tracking participants' heart rate and blood pressure. Results showed that parasympathetic and sympathetic nerves were activated in the presence of the green wall in the subway station. The psychological evaluation analysis revealed that negative affect toward underground space decreased, while positive affect increased. This study found that the green wall in subway stations has a stable effect on the human body, both psychologically and physiologically. In the future, green walls in underground spaces can be used to reduce psychological stress and increase physiological relaxation.

서울시 지하철역 주변 환경이 고령자의 통행량에 미치는 영향 분석: COVID-19 기간을 중심으로 (An Analysis of the Impact of the Surrounding Environment of Subway Stations on Elderly's Subway Use in Seoul during the COVID-19 Pandemic)

  • 코로나바이러스감염증-19(COVID-19) 유행은 우리 사회에 큰 영향을 미쳤다. 고령자의 경우 COVID-19에 취약하고 통행 제약이 크므로, 지하철의 교통카드 자료를 이용해 COVID-19가 역별 고령자의 통행량에 미친 영향을 연구하고자 한다. 이를 위해 COVID-19 발생 전후 3개년간의 고령자 하차통행량과 지하철역 주변 환경 관련 변수 사이에 다중선형회귀분석을 시행하여 서로 비교하였다. 분석 기간 전체에서 지하철 환승 노선 수, 하천 유무, 전통시장 면적, 한방병의원 수, 문화시설 수, 대형상업시설 수 등이 고령자의 통행량에 긍정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, COVID-19 이후 대중교통 관련 변수와 종사자 수, 실내 여가시설의 영향은 감소하고 야외 시설, 전통문화 관련 시설의 영향은 더 커지는 것으로 분석되었다. 이러한 결과는 서울시 고령자의 통행에 팬데믹으로 인해 분명한 변화가 있었음을 시사하며, 향후 고령자에게 더 안전하고 접근성 있는 환경을 만들 근거가 될 것으로 보인다.

  • 지하철터널에서 화재가 발생하면, 열차는 가장 가까운 정거장으로 대피하여 승객들을 하차시켜야 한다. 실제로 대구지하철 화재사고가 이러한 방식으로 대응 하였으나 큰 인명 피해를 초래하였다. 지하철 정거장의 화재배연시스템은 열차화재에 대응할 수 있도록 설계되어 있지 않기 때문에 화재열차의 정거장 진입시 예상치 못한 피해를 유발할 수 있으며 피해방지를 위한 정거장 선로부의 배연계획 수립이 필요하다. 본 연구의 목적은 정거장 선로부의 열차화재시 효율적인 배연방식을 연구하고 승객의 피난 동선 확보를 위해 상층부로의 역류 방지대책을 축소모형실험에 의하여 수립하는 것이다.

Groundwater system Investigation of the Cheonggyecheon watershed Area

  • The groundwater system of the Cheonggyecheon watershed is very complicated because it is influenced by many factors such as pumping out, groundwater leakages into subway stations, civil use of groundwater, and leaking water from water supply and sewage lines. So the characterization and evaluation of the groundwater flow and contaminant transport in the Cheonggyecheon water system is quite a difficult task. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence on the‘groundwater’ below the Cheonggyecheon watershed by the‘maintenance water’on the Cheonggyecheon stream after the restoration. We have so far collected groundwater quality data, hydrogeologic aquifer parameters, and the amount of leakages into subway stations and its influence on the groundwater system. Results show that groundwater level was influenced by the direction and depth of subway tunnel. This study will continue to monitor groundwater quality, a water level fluctuation relation between rainfall and groundwater recharge for further investigation of the groundwater flow system in the Cheonggyecheon watershed.

지하철역의 조립식 임시주거 시공 매뉴얼 개발 연구 (A Development of the Construction Manual for the Prefabricated Temporary Housing in Subway Stations)

  • Following natural disasters, there is a need to develop temporary housing through the rapid installation of mass-produced prefabricated housing. This study has developed a model construction manual for prefabricated temporary housing installable in underground spaces. First, the temporary housing prototype was drawn based on opinion poll results from earlier studies. $4.32m^2$ was calculated as the basic unit of the temporary housing living space for one person. Units included panel type, box type and mixed-type, for a variety of field conditions and scales. In order to enable space expansion and movement desirable to the user, the prototype was combination of panel and box types. The drawn prototype was utilized as the basic design template for producing prototypes and for the manual. Second, the possibility of utilizing subway stations as temporary housing was verified through the production of the prototype, and the construction process was summarized in the manual. The manual was developed in the form of a checklist to provide a guideline for users to build with prefab materials.

  • 본 연구에서는 네트워크 중심성 지표를 사용하여 지하철 네트워크의 개별 노드의 중요성을 분석하고 이로부터 한국 지하철 네트워크의 특성을 분석하였다. 중심성 측도로 매개, 근접 그리고 차수 중심성을 사용하였다. 본 연구에서는 기존에 제안된 매개 중심성 지표와 승객들의 실제 흐름양을 함께 고려한 가중 매개 중심성 지표를 새롭게 제안하였다. 그리고 본 연구에서 제안한 여러 중심성 지표들 사이의 상관관계를 조사함으로서 서울 수도권 지하철과 승객 흐름의 구조적 특성 등을 조사하였다. 아울러 승객들 흐름의 편중 현상을 조사하기 위하여 멱분포(Power-law) 분석을 수행하여 결과 분석의 신빙성을 더하였다.

A Study on Characteristics of Atmospheric Heavy Metals in Subway Station

  • In this study, we investigated the atmospheric heavy metal concentrations in the particulate matter inside the subway stations of Seoul. In particular, we examined the correlation between the heavy metals and studied the effect of the heavy metals on cell proliferation. In six selected subway stations in Seoul, particulate matter was captured at the platforms and 11 types of heavy metals were analyzed. The results showed that the mean concentration of iron was the highest out of the heavy metals in particulate matter, followed by copper, potassium, calcium, zinc, nickel, sodium, manganese, magnesium, chromium and cadmium in that order. The correlation analysis showed that the correlations between the heavy metals was highest in the following order: (Cu vs Zn), (Ca vs Na), (Ca vs Mn), (Ni vs Cr), (Na vs Mn), (Cr vs Cd), (Zn vs Cd), (Cu vs Cd), (Ni vs Cd), (Cu vs Ni), (K vs Zn), (Cu vs K), (Cu vs Cr), (K vs Cd), (Zn vs Cr), (K vs Ni), (Zn vs Ni), (K vs Cr), and (Fe vs Cu). The correlation coefficient between zinc and copper was 0.937, indicating the highest correlation. Copper, zinc, nickel, chromium and cadmium, which are generated from artificial sources in general, showed correlations with many of the other metals and the correlation coefficients were also relatively high. The effect of the heavy metals on cell proliferation was also investigated in this study. Cultured cell was exposed to 10 mg/l or 100 mg/l of iron, copper, calcium, zinc, nickel, manganese, magnesium, chromium and cadmium for 24 hours. The cell proliferation in all the heavy metal-treated groups was not inhibited at 10 mg/l of the heavy metal concentration. The only exception to this was with the cadmium-treated group which showed a strong cell proliferation inhibition. This study provides the fundamental data for the understanding of simultaneous heavy metal exposure tendency at the time of particulate matter exposure in subway stations and the identification of heavy metal sources. Moreover, this study can be used as the fundamental data for the cell toxicity study of the subway-oriented heavy metal-containing particulate matter.

  • The pressure-transient on platform screen doors in side platforms caused by passing trains with various operating conditions have been investigated numerically. The transient compressible three-dimensional flow simulations are performed with actual operating conditions of two trains by adopting moving mesh technique. To achieve more realistic results, the detailed shape of train and the subway station including tunnels connecting the adjacent stations are represented in the computational domain. Numerical analyses are carried out for cases considering arriving/passing/departing train with or without train stopped on the opposite track, and both trains on the move in opposite direction. From the numerical results, the maximum pressure on the platform screen doors, which is predicted in the case of two passing trains, satisfied the design standards for similar stations.
