본 연구는 우리나라 이동전화고객의 서비스 전환(번호이동)에 영향을 미치는 요인에 대한 실증 분석을 다루고 있다. 실증 분석을 위해서 본 연구에서는 이동전화 번호이동제가 도입된 2004년 1사분기부터 2007년 2사분기까지 총 14개 분기의 시계열 자료를 활용하였다. 종속변수로는 이동통신 3사의 분기별 번호이동자수를 이용하였으며 설명변수로는 이동통신사의 가입자 유치비용 및 전환비용과 더불어 수요특성을 감안한 대기수요효과, 추세효과, 구조변화효과 등을 고려하였다 분석 결과 각 사업자별 번호이동 유입자수에 영향을 미치는 요인이 상이함을 확인할 수 있었다 구체적으로 SKT로 이동해오는 고객 수는 SKT의 가입자 유치비용, KTF에서 오는 대기수요 등이 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, KTF로 이동해오는 고객 수는 번호이동고객이 느끼는 전환비용, SKT로부터의 대기수요 등의 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다. LGT에는 LGT의 유치비용과 추세의 영향을 크게 받는 것으로 나타났다.

We study factors that affect consumers' switching behaviors among service providers in Korean mobile telecommunications service market. For empirical analysis, quarterly time series data from the first quarter of 2004 through the second quarter of 2007 were used. We chose the number of switchers to each mobile service provider in each quarter as dependent variables. Independent variables include acquisition costs per subscriber, which play the role of subsidy to mobile handset, switching costs, time trend, structural change effect, and waiting demand effects. Through the empirical analysis, we found that each provider's churn-in customers are affected by different factors. Specifically, the number of churn-in customers into SK Telecom is explained mainly by SK Telecom's customer acquisition costs and waiting demand from KTF, while the number of customers switching into KTF is better explained by switching costs from the previous service provider and waiting demand from SK Telecom. Those who chose LG Telecom as their new provider, on the other hand, were mainly attracted by LG Telecom's high subscriber acquisition cost.

In this paper, a home location register (HLR) for CDMA mobile communication system (CMS) is introduced. It stores the mobile station (MS) subscribers locations and supplementary service information. Call processing procedures for HLR are developed to receive and store subscriber's location coming from mobile exchange (MX) during the location registration, and to transfer subscriber's location and supplementary service information to the MX during the mobile-terminated call setup. For fast call processing by increasing database access speed, a memory-resident database management system is devised. For Easy and secure HLR operation, administration and maintenance functions and overload control mechanisms are implemented. Designed HLR hardware platform is expandable and flexible enough to reallocated software blocks to any subsystems within the platform. It is configurable according to the size of subscribers. An authentication center (AC) is developed on the same platform. It screens the qualified MS from the unqualified. The calls to and from the unqualified MS are rejected in CMS. To authenticate the MS, the AC generates a new authentication parameter called "AUTHR" using shared secret data (SSD) and compared it with the other AUTHR received from the MS. The MC also generates and stores seed keys called "A-keys" which are used to generate SSDs. The HLR requirements, the AC requirements, software architecture, hardware platform, and test results are discussed.

이 논문에서는 제한수신시스템의 일반구조 및 암/복호화에 사용되는 키의 안정성을 위한 키관리 메카니즘 그리고 시스템 성능 향상을 위한 키 계층 구조의 개선에 대해서 살펴본다. 또한 시스템 성능 분석을 위한 기본 개념으로 큐잉 이론(queuing theory)을 설명하고, 디지털 방송 유료화 서비스의 실현 및 시스템 성능 향상을 위한 시스템 최적화 방안으로서 몇 가지 산정된 자료를 기초로 하여 최적의 키 생성 및 전달 주기, 최적의 키관리 주기에 따른 최대/최소 키 전달 시간, 과금 데이터처리를 위한 전용선의 용량 및 시스템 용량을 산정 한다.

This paper proposes the design of a novel distributed message management scheme using a message-oriented management and analysis tool (MOMAT) for naval combat system (NCS) middle-ware. If a message is not guaranteed real-time of the NCS with each node, it causes the loss of data and decreases the reliability of systems. To solve these problems, improved message management schemes are proposed. Message management schemes are considering a real-time user management scheme and a real-time traffic management scheme. The proposed schemes are simulated with a developed simulation tool, data publisher, and subscriber connected through nodes in middle-ware. The simulation results show improved results in terms of message round-trip time (RTT), End-to-End delay, and throughput.

본 논문에서는 기존의 가입자가 직접 전력량을 조절하는 수동수요반응과는 달리 정해진 시간에 자동적으로 전력량 소모를 줄이는 자동수요반응 시스템을 제안하였다. 제안된 시스템은 SEP 2.0을 기반으로 동작하며 수요반응 관리 프로그램과 수요반응 서버, 수요반응 클라이언트로 구성된다. 수요반응 관리 프로그램은 가입자에게 전력사용현황을 알려주고 관리자에게는 수요반응 이벤트를 생성 및 취소할 수 있게 한다. 수요반응 서버는 수요반응 관리 프로그램에서 수신한 수요반응 이벤트를 SEP 2.0을 통해 수요반응 클라이언트로 전송하고 수요반응 클라이언트가 주기적으로 전송하는 미터링 데이터를 데이터베이스에 저장한다. 그리고 수요반응 클라이언트는 수신한 수요반응 이벤트에서 수요반응 이벤트 시작시간과 지속시간, 감소레벨을 추출한 뒤, 특정 기간 동안 전력소모를 감소시킨다.

The mobile telecommunication sector is increasingly gathering way becoming a key area for the economic development in Uzbekistan. One way to promote competition among providers is the introduction of a number portability service. This paper estimates subscriber's willingness to pay (WTP) for the MNP service in the mobile communication market in Uzbekistan. Consumer valuation was estimated using a conjoint analysis. Since number portability had not been introduced at the time of the study, stated preference data from the conjoint survey was used. Results indicate that currently subscribers do not attach a lot of importance to the MNP service, while price and service quality are most valuable components. The results of this study provide important implication for mobile network operators and policy developers on potential MNP implementation.

본 론문은 packet 교환 방식의 computer 통신망인 KORNET 개발에 판한 4편의 논문중 제1부로서 KORNET의 전체적인 개요와 network management center(NMC)의 개발에 관하여 기술하였다. NMC는 operator dialogue를 통하여 network내 여러 소자의 상태를 감지 하고 가입자와 network의 운용을 담당하며 routing의 관리를 담당하는등 network의 중추적 기능을 구행한다 본 KORNET의 구현에 있어서 통신 protocol은 CCITT의 권고사항을 충실히 따랐으며 NMC의 응용 software인 operator interface, prinary/secondary부, session layer차 packet level adaptor는 자체적으로 개발하였고, packet, link 및 physical level protocol은 Data Goner각사에서 개발한 XODIAC X.25를 응용하여 개발하였다.

This study analyzes strategy and main contents between each business market by mobile phone Number Portability. And, grasps what each mobile company customer satisfaction factors is effected on mobile phone Number Portability and estimates relative importance about the factors and understand counter strategies by these factors. Concretely, this paper searched the important quality factor by frequency analysis, factor analysis, regression analysis and path analysis etc. And The sample data is subscriber using mobile communication service of the existing mobile communication company (SKT, KTF, LGT)

As needs for telecommunications services diversify, an increasingly wide range of telecommunications services is becoming available in the market. Any subscriber can find a service to satisfy his/her telecommunication requirements and competition between providers to retain heavy users is increasing. Service price reductions are one retention strategy, although price reductions for one service can affect the individual-level usage for other services. Price reductions can also be imposed on a service provider by regulation. For these reasons, understanding how price reductions affect service usage is of growing importance to the telecommunications industry for purposes of pricing and tariff development. In this paper, we develop an individual-level usage model for telecommunications services and analyze the effects on usage of a price reduction. We apply the model to age-stratified aggregate traffic data for a Korean mobile telecommunication service provider. Finally, we develop a model to support a market segmentation and price reduction strategy.
