  • This study examined the effects of the mother-child relationship and marital satisfaction on the subjective well-being of mothers with young children. The subjects consisted of 237 mothers with young children. Data were analyzed by means of multiple regression analysis, T-test and one way ANOVA. The results included that 1) There were clear differences in terms of the mother's level of education, her monthly income in household, and job satisfaction when it came to the subjective well-being of mothers. 2) The mother-child relationship and marital satisfaction were both positively correlated with the cognitive and affective factor (positive affects) of subjective well-being, whereas there were negative correlations with regard to affective factors (negative affects) of subjective well-being. 3) The mother-child relationship and marital satisfaction accounted for 32.5% of subjective well-being. More specifically, marital satisfaction was the most influential variable when it came to determining the level of life satisfaction (which is also a cognitive factor of subjective well-being), whereas the mother-child relationship was the most influential variable when it came to the affective factor of subjective well-being.

  • This study was to identify dimensions of subjective knowledge and to test the structural model of the effect of subjective knowledge on information search and evaluation rules for apparel products. A questionnaire was administered to 668 females living in Seoul, Taejon, and Cheongju, and the data were analysed by using LISREL 8. The results of this study were as follows: First, consumers' subjective knowledge regarding apparel products consisted of five factors; Style knowledge, Fashion Knowledge, Store Knowledge, Fabric/Management Knowledge, and Brand knowledge. Those factors were influenced by the experience related with apparel products. Second, the subjective knowledge influenced information searches. That is, internal search was significantly influenced by fashion knowledge and store knowledge, while external search was significantly influenced by fashion knowledge and fabric/management knowledge. Third, the subjective knowledge had indirect effects on evaluation rules via search activities (e.g., internal and external), suggesting that the internal search was mediated in relationship between subjective knowledge and compensatory rule, while the urtemal search was mediated in the relationship between subjective knowledge and noncompensatory rule. Therefore, this study implies that subjective knowledge plays an important role to explain consumers' decision making processes such as information search and evaluation.

The purpose of this study was to confirm the effect of psychological resources such as self-esteem, self-efficacy, GRIT, and resilience on the subjective career success and subjective well-being in dental hygienists. Methods: From November 12, 2020 to December 30, 2020, an online survey was conducted on 650 dental hygienists, and data from 630 were analyzed. For the analysis, independent two-sample t-test and one-way ANOVA were performed, and the confirmatory factor analysis and measurement model, construct validity, construct reliability, convergent validity, and discriminant validity were confirmed. This was verified using a structural equation model. SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0 were used for the statistical analyses; p<0.05 were considered statistically significant. Results: The final model fit was found to be suitable. There was no significant difference in subjective career success with respect to the personal characteristics and career characteristics, except for total career and number of turnovers. There was no significant difference in subjective well-being according to personal characteristics and career characteristics. Psychological resources such as self-esteem, self-efficacy, GRIT, and resilience were significant for subjective career success (p<0.05, R2=0.637). Subjective career success was significant for subjective well-being (p<0.05, R2=0.378). Among the psychological resources, self-esteem had both direct and indirect effects on subjective well-being (p<0.05).
