Dense $0.95(Na_{0.5}K_{0.5})NbO_3-0.05LiTaO_3$ (NKN-5LT) ceramics were developed by conventional sintering process. Sintering temperature was lowered by adding $Na_2CO_3$ as a sintering aid. The electrical properties of NKN-5LT ceramics were investigated as a function of $Na_2CO_3$ concentration. When the sample sintered at $1000^{\circ}C$ for 4 h with the addition of 1 mol% $Na_2CO_3$, electro-mechanical coupling factor $(k_p)$ and piezoelectric coefficient $(d_{33})$ of NKN-5LT ceramics were found to reach the highest values of 0.43 and 190 pC/N, respectively.

Two modifications of the ${\alpha}\;and\;{\beta}$ forms of propyl mercaptan nickel(II) cluster, [$Ni_6(SCH_2CH_2CH_3)_{12}$], have been synthesized and their crystal structures have been determined by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. The alkyl groups are away from $Ni_6$ ring in $\alpha$ form whereas they are near to the Ni atom in $\beta$ form. The distance of Ni-H in $\beta$ form [2.576(5) $\AA$] is much shorter than that in $\alpha$ form [3.101(2) $\AA$]. In the crystal lattice of $\beta$ form, the whole structure forms a flower shape.

Let R be a commutative ring with identity 1, n ≥ 3, and let 𝒯_n(R) be the linear Lie algebra of all upper triangular n × n matrices over R. A linear map 𝜑 on 𝒯_n(R) is called to be strong commutativity preserving if [𝜑(x), 𝜑(y)] = [x, y] for any x, y ∈ 𝒯_n(R). We show that an invertible linear map 𝜑 preserves strong commutativity on 𝒯_n(R) if and only if it is a composition of an idempotent scalar multiplication, an extremal inner automorphism and a linear map induced by a linear function on 𝒯_n(R).

A comprehensive experimental and numerical study has been conducted to understand the influence of $CH_{3}Cl$ addition on $CH_4/O_2/N_2$ premixed flames under the oxygen enrichment. The laminar flame speeds of $CH_4/CH_{3}Cl/O_2/N_2$ premixed flames at room temperature and atmospheric pressure are experimentally measured using Bunsen nozzle flame technique, varying the amount of $CH_{3}Cl$ in the fuel, the equivalence ratio of the unburned mixture, and the level of the oxygen enrichment. The flame speeds predicted by a detailed chemical kinetic mechanism employed are found to be in excellent agreement with those deduced from experiments. Even though the molar amount of $CH_{3}Cl$ in a methane flame is increased, temperature at the postflame is not significantly varied, but the calculated heat release rate and emission index of NO are largely decreased for the oxygen enhanced flame. The function of $CH_{3}Cl$ as inhibitor on hydrocarbon flames becomes weakened as the level of the oxygen enrichment is increased from 0.21 to 0.5.

지진에 대한 경각심이 높아지는 가운데 고속철도 시스템의 지진 취약성을 분석하는 것은 지진피해 사전대응분석을 위해 필수적이다. 고속철도를 이루는 구조물은 400km/s 정도까지 속도를 낼 수 있는 고속열차의 직진성을 유지하기 위해 주로 교량, 터널 등으로 구성되어 있다. 이러한 구조물의 지진에 대한 취약도는 각 구조물의 단면을 분석하여 해석적 또는 수치적 방법으로 구할 수도 있으나, 고속철도 전체 시스템을 이러한 방법으로 분석하기에는 그 대상이 넓어 많은 연구 노력이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 이런 해석적 방법이 아닌 경험적 방법을 사용하여 고속철도 시스템 전체의 일반적인 지진 취약도 곡선을 개발하였다. 연구에 활용한 대상 지진 사례는 규모 6.6 2004년 니가타 지진으로, 이 지진은 진앙 인근 부근을 지나는 고속철도에 심각한 피해를 초래하였다. 본 연구에서는 고속철도에서의 계기진도 및 피해 사례를 수집하였고, 통계분석을 통해 각 피해 정도에 따른 피해 확률을 결정하였다. 그 후, 최대우도추정법을 사용하여 계기진도를 함수로 하는 초과피해 확률을 로그정규누적분포함수로 추정하였다. 이러한 취약도 곡선을 분석한 결과, 장주기 성분의 계기진도인 주기 3초의 응답스펙트럼(SA_T3.0)이 로그정규누적분포함수의 표준편차가 가장 작게 나타나고 오차의 표준편차 또한 작게 나타나 터널 및 교량 등 고속철도 시스템의 피해 확률을 추정하는데 가장 적합한 계기진도로 판단되었다. 이는 장주기 성분의 지진파가 터널 및 교량 등의 피해에 큰 연관성이 있기 때문으로 유추된다. 개발된 취약도 곡선으로부터 보통 이상(DL > 1)의 피해에 대해 SA_T3.0 = 0.1g일 때 2%의 피해확률을 예측하였으며, SA_T3.0 = 0.2g일 때 23.9%의 피해확률을 예측하였다.

Invertible transformations over n-bit words are essential ingredients in many cryptographic constructions. Such invertible transformations are usually represented as a composition of simpler operations such as linear functions, S-P networks, Feistel structures and T-functions. Among them T-functions are probably invertible transformations and are very useful in stream ciphers. In this paper we will characterize a secure trinomial on ${\mathbb{Z}}_{2^n}$ which generates an n-bit word sequence without consecutive elements of period $2^n$.

The concept of sub-independence is based on the convolution of the distributions of the random variables. It is much weaker than that of independence, but is shown to be sufficient to yield the conclusions of important theorems and results in probability and statistics. It also provides a measure of dissociation between two random variables which is much stronger than uncorrelatedness. Inspired by the excellent work of Jin and Lee (2014), we present certain characterizations of gamma distribution based on the concept of sub-independence.

We aim at deriving Gauss's second summation theorem for the series $_2F_1(1/2)$ by using Euler's integral representation for $_2F_1$. It seems that this method of proof has not been tried.

In this paper, weighted Bloch spaces $\mathcal{B}_q$ are considered on the open unit ball in $\mathbb{C}^n$. In this paper, we will show that every Bloch function in $B_q$ induces a bounded linear functional on $L^1_a(\mathcal{B})$.
