The Effect of Reflected Appraisals on Selfie Behavior and the Moderating Effect of Hoped-for Self (자기에 대한 타인 평가 인식이 셀피행동에 미치는 영향과 희망자기의 조절효과)

  • Selfie behavior, the act of taking a picture of oneself and distributing it on social media, has become increasingly popular. Researching how to communicate with others in a social context and express hoped-for self through selfies is essential for studying consumers in the digital age. This study investigates the effects of reflected appraisals on selfie expectations and selfie behaviors. Additionally, the interaction effect of hoped-for self on the relationships between reflected appraisals and selfie expectations was tested. A web-based survey was conducted on consumers above the age of 20 who have engaged in selfie behavior in the past month. A total of 495 responses were collected from a panel of online survey firms. The survey results were analyzed using confirmatory factor analysis by AMOS 21.0 and bootstrap analysis by SPSS Macro process Model 4 and 7. Results indicated that reflected appraisals influenced selfie behavior, which was fully mediated by selfie expectations. Furthermore, the effect of reflected appraisals on selfie behavior was moderated by hoped-for self. The results will serve as a theoretical basis for understanding the psychological expectations in which selfie behavior is formed in a social context and can be applied in psychotherapy and marketing in practice.

A Study of the Effect of Family Strength on School Adjustment among Adolescents and the Mediating Effect of Social Support - Focus on Middle School Students of the Gyeongnam Region - (가족건강성이 청소년의 학교적응에 미치는 영향 및 사회적 지지의 매개효과 - 경남지역 중학생을 중심으로 -)

  • This study focused on adolescents who are studying in middle schools of the Gyeongnam region, aims to provide methods for improving school adjustment among adolescents through the enhancement of family strength. It will examine the effect of family strength on adolescents' school adjustment verify the mediating effect of social support in the influential relationships of school adjustment. The summarizations, obtained in this study are as follows: First, an analysis of the results of the effect of family strength on social support demonstrated that family strength had a positive effect on social support. That is, as family strength was higher, social support increased. Second, an analysis of the results of the effect of family strength on school adjustment show that family strength would have a direct effect on school adjustment, which is positive. Where family strength was higher, school adjustment of adolescents was also higher. Third, the results of the effect of social support on school adjustment when controlling family strength demonstrate that social support would have a positive effect on school adjustment, however, family strength did not predict school adjustment. Therefore, the complete mediating effect of social support in the relationship between family strength and school adjustment was identified. In conclusion, it was identified that family strength had an indirect effect on school adjustment, but not a direct effect. Therefore, it is indicated that indirect intervention through the social support system as well as direct intervention for the improvement of adolescents' school adjustment is required. In addition, it was confirmed that family strength and social support would be more important variables than control variables, which reflect the characteristics of adolescents and family in terms of school adjustment. Therefore, the recognition that the responsibility in adjusting to school is the common role of families, schools, and community going beyond the individual responsibility of adolescents is needed.

Protective effect of injinhotang and its components on acetaminophen-induced hepatoxicity in rats (인진호탕(茵陳蒿湯)의 조합에 따른 간 보호 효과)

  • Acetaminophen, which causes acute liver min in humans and animals, has made useful inducer of hepatoxicity for studying hepatopreventive drugs. Injinhotang is known as one of the hepatopreventive drugs. However, its mechanism of recovery of hepatoxicity treated with acetaminophen is poorly understood. this study was performed to observe the antioxidative effect of injinhotang extract and its several combination groups. The results were obtained as follows:1. In the study on free radical scavenging effect in vitro(the suppressing effect on peroxidation of linoleic acid on concentration, the scavenging effect of DPPH radical, inhibitory effect of superoxide in xanthine-xanthine oxidase system and the inhibitory effect on lipid peroxidation reaction by hydroxy radical in H2O2-Fe2+system, injinhotang have more effect than its components groups relatively. 2. In the study on antioxidants system in vivo(the level of serum LPO, the level of hepatic LPO, catalase, GSH, GST), only injnhotang has a significant effect. 3. In the study on hepatotoxicity(GOT, GPT, $\gamma$-GTP, ALP, LDH, b ilirubin), only injinhotang has a significant effect. These results suggest that injinhotang has the protective effect on acetaminophen-induced hepatoxicity. The mechanisms of these are supposed to be involved in antioxidant and three drugs' cooperative synergy effect.

  • This study was performed to provide preliminary data for the development of a useful instrument to measure the effect of sex education. The study was conducted with the voluntary participation of 155 college students enrolled in the course "Sexuality and Relationship" at Y university in Seoul. At the end of that course, they were asked to write freely about the change they had experienced on sexuality. All meaningful statements were elicited and classified into 7 categories; "Change of Knowledge", "Enlightenment", "Change of Attitude on Sexuality", "Buildup of Ability", "Buildup of. Identity", "Change of Emotion", "Change of Behavior:' There were significant changes in the areas of knowledge(28. 6%), enlightenment(27.4%), and attitudes(20.3%) about sexuality among these 7 categories. The Change of Knowledge category consists of 3 areas: "concretion of knowledge", "increase of information", and "correction of misunderstanding." In the category of Enlightenment, total 12 areas are included: "sex role", "erception of lack of knowledge", "importance of family", "life plan", "parent role", "value of life", "equality", "sexual autonomy", "importance of sexuality", "freedom of sexuality", "perception of sexual problem", and "meaning of love." The Attitude Change category consists of 8 areas. These are "being natural", "being progressive", "being sensitive", "being truthful", "being expressive", "being cautious", "being responsible", and "being confident". The category of Buildup of Ability includes 4 areas: "problem solving", "sex education", "relationship", and "communication". The category of Buildup of Identity includes "sexual identity", and "value of sexuality". The Emotional Change category includes 3 areas: "positive feeling", "negative feeling", and "breaking from negative feeling on sexuality". The Behavior Change category includes "sex-related behavioral change". In conclusion, up to now most researches on sex education effect measures only changes of knowledge, attitude, and behavior. But we believe the changes in "Enlightenment", "Buildup of Ability", "Buildup of Identity", "Change of Emotion", should be included in addition to knowledge, attitude, and behavior in the development of an instrument to measure the sex education effects. And the effect of sex education should measure the degree of learning of autonomy, enlightenment, and ability of behavior and so on rather than studying the simple changes in sexuality.enment", "Buildup of Ability", "Buildup of Identity", "Change of Emotion", should be included in addition to knowledge, attitude, and behavior in the development of an instrument to measure the sex education effects.   • Being in Learning-accomplishing rate on mutual cooperation studies of small group by different class, we can find that the sujective class of high group is much more efficient than the compared class of high group and that the subjective class of low group is more efficient than the compared class of low group as times goes. Moreover, in analysis of all directions on mathematical attitude, high group appears to be a great efficient in all areas such as confidence, flexibility, reaction, value, etc. and low group seems to have a little effect, by comparing the subjective class with the compared class. A. The result of a scholastic ability test High group had a great effect in the result of the first (Number and an expression) and second(An equation of a figure) scholastic ability test. As the time of research goes, the difference of average between the subjective class and the compared class has increased. Low group had no effect in the result of the first (Number and an expression) and the second (An equation of figure) scholastic ability test. But the difference of average grade between the subjective class and the compared class proved to be some efficient as time goes. (the first test is 0.94 and the second test is 3.33)We can find that the result of the third test (An exponent and log function) turned out be efficient. B. The change of mathematical attitudeHigh group had a great effect in confidence(+1.21), fiexibility(+1.92), will(-0.06), curiosity(+2.64), reaction(+1.50), value(+1.44). Low group appeared to be a little efficient in comparison between the subjective class and compared class. the average of both the subjective class and the compared class in low group decreased if not the result of pre-test but in that of pose-test. Therefore, we can find that the difference between mathematics of maddle school and that of high school gets bigger in Low group.C. The result of a question examinationAfter this research, the reaction that It is helpful to studying accomplishm- ent is 33.7%, the reaction that It is not helpful is 14.7%. After all, this research appears to be a positive reaction. After this study, the change of studying will seems to be much more not in Low group but in High group.

  • This paper has made an empirical research on airline staff working at Incheon international airport, who perceived safety culture in their organization and delivered safety information while the staff were providing service against passengers. The purpose of this paper was to analyze the relationship among safety culture, service quality and service provider efficacy to find out which factor of safety culture had a significant effect on both service quality and service provider efficacy. Following the results from empirical research, this paper would provide administrative implications which could be applied to improve airline's service quality and to manage effectively the airline staff at field. According to research, it was found fairness culture among safety cultures had a positive and significant effect on both service quality and service provider efficacy. However, reporting/studying culture had a negative effect on them. In other words, it would decrease airline service quality and prevent active service provider's efficacy at airport if a airline management focused reporting/studying culture of safety. It is important to settle down fairness culture of safety to motivate and improve service quality.

A study on thermo-mechanical behavior of MCD through bulge test analysis

  • The Micro circular diaphragm (MCD) is the mechanical actuator part used in the micro electro-mechanical sensors (MEMS) that combine electrical and mechanical components. These actuators are working under harsh mechanical and thermal conditions, so it is very important to study the mechanical and thermal behaviors of these actuators, in order to do with its function successfully. The objective of this paper is to determine the thermo-mechanical behavior of MCD by developing the traditional bulge test technique to achieve the aims of this work. The specimen is first pre-stressed to ensure that is no initial deflection before applied the loads on diaphragm and then clamped between two plates, a differential pressure (P) and temperature ($T_b$) is leading to a deformation of the MCD. Analytical formulation of developed bulge test technique for MCD thermo-mechanical characterization was established with taking in-to account effect of the residual strength from pre-stressed loading. These makes the plane-strain bulge test ideal for studying the mechanical and thermal behavior of diaphragm in both the elastic and plastic regimes. The differential specimen thickness due to bulge effect to describe the mechanical behavior, and the temperature effect on the MCD material properties to study the thermal behavior under deformation were discussed. A finite element model (FEM) can be extended to apply for investigating the reliability of the proposed bulge test of MCD and compare between the FEM results and another one from analytical calculus. The results show that, the good convergence between the finite element model and analytical model.

Experimental and numerical investigation of arching effect in sand using modified Mohr Coulomb

  • In the current paper the results of a numerical simulation that were verified by a well instrumented experimental procedure for studying the arching effect over a trapdoor in sand is presented. To simulate this phenomenon with continuum mechanics, the experimental procedure is modeled in ABAQUS code using stress dependent hardening in elastic state and plastic strain dependent frictional hardening-softening with Mohr Coulomb failure criterion applying user sub-routine. The apparatus comprises rectangular trapdoors with different width that can yield downward while stresses and deformations are recorded simultaneously. As the trapdoor starts to yield, the whole soil mass deforms elastically. However, after an immediate specified displacement, depending on the width of the trapdoor, the soil mass behaves plastically. This behavior of sand occurs due to the flow phenomenon and continues until the stress on trapdoor is minimized. Then the failure process develops in sand and the measured stress on the trapdoor shows an ascending trend. This indicates gradual separation of the yielding mass from the whole soil body. Finally, the flow process leads to establish a stable vault of sand called arching mechanism or progressive collapse of the soil body.

Effect of GGBFS on time-dependent deflection of RC beams

  • The paper presents the experimental investigations for studying the effect of ground granulated blast furnace slag (GGBFS) on the time-dependent deflection of reinforced concrete (RC) beams due to creep and shrinkage. The RC beams were reinforced with 2-10 mm bars at tension side and subjected to constant sustained two-point loading for the period of 150 days. The amount of cement replacement by GGBFS was varied from 0 to 60% with an increment of 20%. The total deflection was measured at different ages of up to 150 days under sustained loads. The experiments revealed that the time-dependent deflection of the reinforced concrete RC beams containing GGBFS was higher than that of plain concrete RC beams. At 150 days, the average creep and shrinkage deflection of RC beams containing 20%, 40% and 60% GGBFS was 1.25, 1.45 and 1.75 times higher than the plain concrete beams. A new model, which is an extension of authors' earlier model, is proposed to incorporate the effect of GGBFS content in predicting the long-term deflection of RC beams. Besides validating the new model with the current data with higher percentage of tension reinforcement, it was also used to predict the authors' earlier data containing lesser percentage of tension reinforcement with reasonable accuracy.

  • This paper is studying about how things are showed the montage theory and mis-en-scene effect in the screen media, what the concrete project's cases and how those theories have been supported to the animation's effects and its development. Besides, 1 tried to describe the shown things in the animation area, what the montage theory and mis-en-scene effect had been imported and expressed based on the screen studies of representative genre in the visual media. The purpose of this thesis suggests to help the creative animation scenes by liberal understanding and acceptance about the montage theory and mis-en-scene effect for the future animation's progressive aspect. With the improvement, there this thesis's suggestions could help the creative and special effects of animation asa part of Screen Arts, and would be the part of the progressive factors in the animation area.
