간호대학생의 자기주도학습 준비도, 교수-학생 상호작용, 학업성취도가 핵심역량, 학습동기와 학습만족도에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Self-Directed Learning Readiness, Teacher-Student Interaction, and Academic Achievement on Core Competency, Learner Motivation, and Learner Satisfaction in Nursing Students)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 간호대학생을 대상으로 핵심역량, 학습동기, 학습만족도에 영향을 주는 요인을 파악하여 다양한 학습법을 적용할 때 대상자의 핵심역량, 학습동기, 학습만족도를 높이기 위한 근거를 제시함으로써 보다 효과적인 교수학습법을 개발하고자 함이다. 본 연구의 설계는 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구대상은 S시에 위치한 E대학교 간호대학생 2, 3학년을 대상으로 하였으며, 총 134명의 자료가 최종 분석에 포함되었다. 본 연구의 결과 간호대학생의 핵심역량은 2학년보다는 3학년에서 높았고, 간호대학생의 핵심역량, 학습동기와 학습만족도 모두 자기주도학습 준비도와 교수-학생 상호작용이 평균이상인 학생이 평균미만인 학생보다 높은 것으로 나타났다. 자기주도학습 준비도, 교수-학생 상호작용, 학업성취도 3개의 변수로 구축된 핵심역량에 대한 회귀모형의 설명력은 45.1%이었고, 자기주도학습 준비도, 교수-학생 상호작용, 학업성취도, 학습만족도 4개의 변수로 구축된 학습동기에 대한 회귀모형의 설명력은 47.5%이었으며, 교수-학생 상호작용, 학습동기 2개의 변수로 구축된 학습만족도 모형의 설명력은 43.4%이었다. 따라서 본 연구의 결과 핵심역량과 학습동기를 높이기 위해서는 자기 주도학습 준비도와 함께 교수-학생 상호작용을 증진시키는 것이 필요하며, 학습만족도를 높이기 위해서는 학습동기를 고취시키고 교수-학생 상호작용이 효율적으로 일어날 수 있도록 하는 중재가 필요하겠다.

  • 교사의 교수를 위한 수학적 지식에 관한 연구는 최근 몇년동안 서서히 발전하고 있다. 교사가 수학을 가르치기 위해 필요한 지식이 무엇인가에 대한 다양한 해석과 함께, 교사의 교수를 위한 수학적 지식이 어떻게 학생 성취도와 관련되어 있는 지를 밝히려는 연구들도 역시 이루어 지고 있다. 이 논문은 교수를 위한 수학적 지식에 관한 다양한 해석들과 이 지식과 학생들의 성취도간의 관계를 조사한 연구들을 고찰하고, 이 주제를 연구하는데 어려움들이 무엇인지 밝힌다. 또한, 이 연구는 관련 문헌 연구에 기초하여, 교사의 교수를 위한 수학적 지식과 학생들의 성취도에 관한 가능한 연구 주제 및 연구 방법을 제안한다.

중학교 수학과 수행평가의 개발과 적용 효과에 관한 분석 (Development and Implementation of Performance Assessment for Middle School Mathematics)

  • The purpose of this study is to define performance assessment of mathematics, to make a model of performance task of mathematics for the first grade middle school students in higher group, to examine validity and reliability of performance task and to investigate the effects on the students' achievement and attitude. It first defines performance assessment and exanmines its main features and scoring methods. Based on these, nine performance assessment tasks and scoring criteria were designed for the first grade middle school students in higher group. The validity of performance tasks were examined by experts. The loaming achievement and mathematical attitude test between two groups were performed as pre and post test. The thinking of students about performance assessment was investigated by attitude survey. The results of this study are as follows: First, the validity of the performance tasks is very high. Second, The control group. Forth, there is a difference in student's attitude about mathematics between scorer reliability was high due to the scorer training. Third, there is little difference in teaming achievement between experimental and experimental and control group in 5% meaningful levels. That is, student's of both groups attitude about mathematics comes negatives, but the width of change of negative attitude in experimental group is less than control group. In the trend of negative attitude of mathematics as grade comes higher, this results showed that performance assessment of mathematics had positive influence on attitude of mathematics. The result of survey about mathematical performance assessment experience showed that students have positive attitude to performance assessment and recognized effectiveness of the performance assessment of mathematics.

천문 영역에 대한 STAD 모형의 협동 학습이 초등학생들의 학업 성취도와 과학에 관련된 태도에 미치는 효과 (The Effects of Cooperative Learning through STAD Model on Elementary School Students' Learning Achievements and Science Related Attitudes in the Field of Astronomy)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the efforts of cooperative loaming through a student team-achievement division(STAD) model on elementary school students' learning achievements and science ,elated attitudes toward the field of astronomy. This study was conducted using 72 students of the fifth-grade class in a elementary school in Busan. The 18 science lessons of the 'Family of the sun' were executed over 6 weeks in the fifth-year students classes. In this study, the experimental group were exposed to cooperative learning through STAD and the contrast group were exposed to a traditional teacher-centered class. The results show that the STAD class of the experimental group had a greater effect upon the elementary school students' science learning achievement and science related attitudes toward the field of astronomy than those of the comparison group. Additionally, the students recognized that cooperative learning provokes both interest in loaming and in their studies generally and also they expressed a desire to continue with cooperative teaming methods.

국제 비교 연구에 나타난 우리 나라 학생들의 지구과학 성취도: 성 차이를 중심으로 (Korean Student's Achievement of Earth Science in International Comparative Studies: From the Perspectives of Gender Differences)

  • 이 연구에서는 최근 수행된 국제 비교 연구인 TIMSS-R과 PISA 2000에 나타난 우리 나라 학생들의 지구 과학영역에 대한 전체적인 성취도 및 성 차이 경향을 파악하였다. 이를 위해 1999년에 실시된 TIMSS-R에 포함된 33개의 지구 과학 관련 문항과 2000년에 실시된 PISA에 포함된 13개의 지구 환경 과학 문항에 대한 국제 및 국내 평균 정답율을 비교하였다. 분석 결과, 우리 나라 학생들은 문항 유형별로는 선택형 문항에서, 수행 영역별로는 단순 정보 이해문항에서 국제 평균 정답율에 비해 큰 차이를 보이며 높게 나타났다. 또한, 우리 나라 학생들은 그래프 해석, 표 해석등 자료 해석과 관련된 문항에서 국제 평균보다 특히 높은 정답율을 나타냈는데, 이러한 경향은 남학생들에게 더 두드러졌다. 한편, 우리 나라 학생들은 천문학 문항에서 상대적으로 가장 낮은 점수를 나타냈으며, 이는 특히 여학생에게 더 심하게 나타났다. 우리 나라 여학생들은 문항의 내용, 유형, 수행 영역 등 모든 부분에서 남학생들보다 낮은 정답율을 보여 심각한 성 차이를 드러냈다.

다중지능을 활용한 과학수업이 초등학생의 과학학습동기, 학업성취도 및 과학탐구능력에 미치는 효과 - 3학년 '지층과 화석' 단원을 중심으로 - (The Effects of Science Class using Multiple Intelligence on the Learning Motivation, Academic Achievement and Science Process Skill of Elementary Student - Focused on 'Stratum and Fossil' Unit in 3rd Grade -)

  • This study aimed to investigate the effect of science class using multiple intelligence on science learning motivation, academic achievement and science process skill of elementary student. The number of participants were 98, 4 classes of $3^{rd}$ graders in G elementary school in B city. The experimental group, 2 classes including 49 participants, had science classes using multiple intelligence while the comparative group, 2 classes including 49 participants, took ordinary teacher-driven lessons using teacher's guidebook. Pre and post tests were done before and after executing lessons to assess the changing in each group's science learning motivation, academic achievement and science process skill. The results of this study can be summarized as follows: First, the pre and post test results of science learning motivation revealed that the experimental group had higher improvement compared to the comparative group and the difference was meaningful. Second, the post test results of the science academic achievement showed that the experimental group had higher average value compared to the comparative group and the difference was meaningful. Third, the pre and post test results of basic science process skill showed that the experimental group had higher average value compared to the comparative group and the difference was meaningful, especially in inference and prediction elements.

초, 중, 고 학생들의 가정환경, 영양섭취 실태 및 학업 성취도와의 관계에 관한 연구 (The Relatioships among Household Characteristics, Nutrient Intake Status and Academic Achievements of Primary, Middle and High School Students)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the relations among the three factors: 1) characteristics of family, 2) nutrient intake status and 3) academic achievements. The subjects in this study were 7,698 boys and girls attending primary, middle and high schools in South Korea. The questionnaire was made and distributed to the student to answer the questions about family background and food intake status. Food intake frequency method was used to examine nutrient intake status. Academic achievement results of last semester were taken from students school records. Followings are the results of the study:1. Most of the mean nutrient intakes were above the Korean recommended dietary allowances. However, calcium, iron, and vitamin A intakes were below the Korean recommended dietary allowances. Therefore, it is recommended to increase the intake of these nutrients in these students to meet the RDA.2. Total amounts of food intake were decreasing in higher grades and food intake of boys was higher than that of girls. 3. Educational period of parents and economic status of family had grades influences on student's academic achievement and nutritional status. The students with parents of higher education and higher economic status had better academic achievement and balanced nutritional status. 4. When students were divided into three groups with respect to the percentage of recommended nutrient intake, the group with nutrient intake of 75-125% of RDA achieved better academic achievement than other groups. In conclusion, educational length and economic status of parents and optimal intake of nutrients (75-125% of RDA)by students significantly affected academic achievements of the students.

국제 수학 올림피아드 참가 후보자들을 위한 상황대처훈련에 관한 연구 (A Study on Effect of Situation Coping Training Program for international Math Olympiad Candidates)

  • Currently Korea encourages gifted highschoolers and junior high schoolers to participate in international achievement contests such as International Olympiads. Participants for these contests are selected nationwide among gifted students in areas of mathematics, physics, chemistry, and others. They go through a series of screening tests and programs. One of the screening processes is Korean Olympiad School, which provides study programs each summer for student-candidates prior to following year's International Olympiads. Approximately 40 students of high schools and junior high schools, in each subject of study, gather at Korean Olympiad Summer School, and they go through intensive study programs during short period of time. Out of 40 candidates, less than 20 students are finally selected to participate in International Olympiads. In this study, a psycho-educational program called "Situatin Coping Training Program" was developed to enhance ahievement motivation for these student-candidates. This study was to see if this tranining program actually improved their cognitive, emotive motivation factors, and to see how this training program affected their achievement level. Training was administered for five days. This training program was found effective for participants to increase self-efficacy, internal locus of control, and anxiety coping. These cognitive and emotive motivation factors, other than intelligence, were found to have positive relationship with achievement level, of which self-efficacy and attribution style of students were found as two best predictors of achievement. This training program was perceived as necessary by participants, and helpful for recovering self-confidence and self-control as well as coping pressure. Suggestions were made that this kind of training program be administered as regular curriculum in preparative study programs such as Korean Olympiads, since cognitive, emotive motivation factors are related with achievement, and furthermore, be utilized in all gifted education programs in Korea. in Korea.

사교육과 영재교육 참여경험이 중학생의 수학성취도에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Private Tutoring on Middle School Student's Achievement According to the Experience of Gifted Education)

  • 이 연구는 한국교육종단연구(KELS) 자료를 활용해 사교육 참여 경험이 수학성취도에 미치는 영향과 더불어 영재교육 참여경험이 수학성취도에 대한 사교육 효과에 미치는 영향을 선형 성장모형을 사용하여 분석하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 수학성취도 점수를 포함하고 있는 KELS 1차년도(2005년)부터 3차년도(2007년)의 자료 중 수학 교과에 대한 사교육 참여 여부, 주당 사교육 시간, 월 사교육비, 영재교육 경험 여부, 성별, 초등학교 6학년 성적 자료, 부모님의 월소득, 내재적 동기 그리고 자아효능감 자료가 사용되었다. 연구대상은 수학성취도 점수를 포함하여 연구목적에 포함된 변수들에 결측치가 있는 경우를 제외하여 최종적으로 4,435명으로 한정하였다. 연구결과 사교육 참여 경험이 더 많은 학생들이 다른 변수들을 통제하고도 수학성취도가 높았으나, 사교육 요인 중 사교육 시간과 사교육 비용의 경우 학년과의 상호작용이 수학성취도에 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 이에 비하여 영재교육 참여경험은 수학성취도 향상 정도에는 부적 영향을 미쳤으나, 사교육 비용이 수학성취도에 미치는 효과에는 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 즉, 영재교육 경험이 수학성취도에 대한 부정적 사교육 비용 효과에 대해 긍정적인 영향력을 간접적으로 보이고 있다는 점이다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 사교육이 수학성취도에 주는 영향 그리고 이러한 사교육 효과에 대한 영재교육경험의 영향과 의미를 논의하였다.

A Study on the Relationship between Temperament and Mathematics Academic Achievement

  • Based on a survey on 1620 students in primary school and secondary school., by adopting Eysenck Personality Questionnaire (EPQ), we got the following findings : 1. There is close relationship between emotionality characteristics of temperament and mathematics academic achievement of the subjects at Grade 5 (Primary 5), Grade 8 (Junior Secondary 2), and Grade 10 (Senior Secondary 2). Also there is close relationship between internal-external directivity characteristics of temperament and mathematics academic achievement at Grade 5 and Grade 8. While there is not close relationship between internal-external directivity characteristics of temperament and mathematics academic achievement at Grade 10; 2. There is close relationship between temperament types and mathematics academic achievement of the subjects from the three grades. Superior temperament, which benefit learning mathematics, are sanguine, sanguine-phlegmatic and phlegmatic; While inferior temperament types, which don't benefit learning mathematics, are choleric, melancholic and choleric-melancholic. With the rising of grade, temperament types of benefiting learning mathematics converts from external directivity emotion balance to balance of internal-external directivity emotion stability. While temperament of no benefiting learning mathematics converts from internal directivity emotion balance to balance of internal-external directivity emotion instability; 3. In mathematics education, students' temperament difference, which affects learning mathematics, should be recognized. Mathematics teachers should find out the best teaching ways, forms and methods which are suitable for student's temperament type, so that the students with different temperament types can gain better mathematics academic achievement.
