정신질환자와 비정신질환자의 스트레스 및 그 적응방법에 대한 비교연구 (A Comparative Study on Stress and Coping Method of Psychiatric Patients and Non-Psychiatric Peoples)

  • This study on stress and coping method of psychiatric patients and non-psychiatric peoples was applied to people who was divided into two groups from Sep. 25 to Oct. 3, 1978, One is hospitalized patients in psychiatric wards of four hospitals in Seoul. The other is inhibitants in two Dongs of Seoul, This study purposed to the identification of the difference of stressful events’numbers, the severity of stress, and difference of coping methods between psychiatric patients and non-psychiatric peoples. Two instruments are used in this study. The first one to measure stress, is Holmes & Rahe (1967)'s SRRQ (Social Readjustment Rating Questionnaire), which is amended, added or omitted through preliminary test, so that it consists of 48 items. The second one is for evaluating coping method on stress. It consists of 34 items amended through preliminary test after consideration of related literature review and survey on the basis of J.M.Bell (1977)'s“ 18-item-Questionnaire”. The materials were analyzed by S.P.S.S. Program. The results of analysis are as follows: 1. There was no significant difference in stressful event's numbers between psychiatric patients and non-psychiatric peoples (P > 0.5). 2. Psychiatric patients had higher severity of stress than non-psychiatric peoples (P < 0.5). 3. Psychiatric patients took more short-term coping methods than non-psychiatric peoples (p < 0.5).

AE 기법을 이용한 TiNi/A16061 형상기억복합재료의 파괴특성평가 (Fracture Characteristic of TiNi/A16061 Share Memory Alloy Composite using Acoustic Emission Technique)

  • Tensile residual stress happen by difference of coefficients of thermal expansion between fiber and matrix is one of the serious problems in metal matrix composite(MMC). In this study, TiNi fiber was used to solve the tensile residual stress as the reinforced material. TiNi fiber improves the tensile strength of composite by occurring compressive residual stress in matrix using shape memory effect of it. Pre-strain was added to generate compressive residual stress inside TiNi/A16061 composite. It was also evaluated the effect of compressive residual stress corresponding to pre-strains variation. AE technique was used to clarify the microscopic damage behavior at high temperature and the effect of pre-strain difference of TiNi/A16061 shape memory alloy composite.

초미분말 고로슬래그를 혼합한 시멘트 페이스트의 유동특성 (Rheological Properties of Cement Paste Containing Ultrafine Blastfurnace Slag)

  • Rheological properties of cement paste containing ultrafine blastfurnace slag (UBS, $9600cm^2/g$) were investigated by mini-slump test, pH meter, conduction calorimeter and coaxial cylinder viscometer. In order to improve rheological properties of the cement paste, granulated blastfurnace slag (GBS, $3500cm^2/g$) and polycarboxylate type superplasticizer (PC) were also used in this experiment. The fluidity of cement paste containing UBS was decreased. The yield stress and plastic viscosity of cement paste was increased with increasing UBS. But the rheological properties were improved when GBS and PC were added to UBS blended cement paste. In the relationship between the yield stress and the plastic viscosity or the mini-slump value, the yield stress of the cement paste was proportional to the plastic viscosity of it. However the cement paste mini-slump value was in inverse proportional to the yield stress.

In this study, TiNi alloy fiber was used to solve the problem of the tensile residual stress as the reinforced material. TiNi alloy fiber improves the tensile strength of composite by occurring compressive residual stress in matrix using shape memory effect of it. Pre-strain was added to generate compressive residual stress inside TiNi/A16061 shape memory alloy(SMA) composite. It was also evaluated the effect of compressive residual stress corresponding to pre-strains variation and volume fraction of TiNi alloy. AE technique was used to clarify the microscopic damage behavior at high temperature and the effect of pre-strain difference of TiNi/A16061 SMA composite. In addition, two dimensional AE source location technique was applied to inspect the crack initiation and propagation in composite.

Aquaporin-3 Downregulation in Vitiligo Keratinocytes Increases Oxidative Stress of Melanocytes

  • Oxidative stress-induced melanocyte apoptosis is linked to the immune system and plays a critical role in the pathogenesis of vitiligo. Aquaporin-3 (AQP3), which is downregulated in vitiligo keratinocytes, regulates intracellular H2O2 accumulation. However, the role of AQP3 in oxidative stress is uncertain in vitiligo. This study investigated the effect of downregulated AQP3 on oxidative stress in vitiligo using lesional and non-lesional skin specimen sets from vitiligo patients and primary cultured adult normal human epidermal keratinocytes, with or without downregulation and overexpression of AQP3 in the presence or absence of H2O2 treatment. The levels of nuclear factor E2-related factor 2 (NRF2) and/or its main target, NAD(P)H quinone dehydrogenase 1 (NQO-1), were lower in the lesional keratinocytes and cultured keratinocytes with AQP3 knockdown, but were increased in keratinocytes upon AQP3 overexpression. Ratios of NRF2 nuclear translocation and NQO-1 expression levels were further reduced in AQP3-knockdown keratinocytes following H2O2 treatment. The conditioned media from AQP3-knockdown keratinocytes treated with H2O2 contained higher concentrations of reactive oxygen species (ROS). Moreover, the number of viable melanocytes was reduced when the conditioned media were added to the culture media. Overall, AQP3 downregulation in the keratinocytes of patients with vitiligo can induce oxidative stress in neighboring melanocytes, leading to melanocyte death.

Effect of Trolox C on Hypoxia/Reoxygenation-Induced Injury in Isolated Perfused Rat Liver

  • Livers isolated from 18 hours fasted rats were subjected to N$_{2}$ hypoxia (for 45 min) followed by reoxygenation (for 45 min). The perfusion medium used was Krebs-Henseleit bicarbonate buffer (KHBB, pH 7.4). Lactate and alanine were added as gluconeogenic and ureagenic substrates and Trolox C was also added to perfusate. Oxygen consumption, lactate dehydrogenase (LDH), alanine transaminase (ALT), total glutathione, oxidized glutathione, bile flow, glucose and urea were measured. After hypoxia oxygen consumption significantly dropped but Trolox C had no influence on this decrease. ALT and LDH were significantly increased by hypoxia/reoxygenation. This increase was markedly attenuated in the presence of Trolox C. The total glutathione and oxidized glutathione efflux increased following hypoxia, which were prevented by the treatment of Trolox C. Bile flow rate decreased following hypoxia/reoxygenation but did not continue to decrease in the reoxygenation phase by Trolox C. Following hypoxia/reoxygenation glucose and urea releases decreased. Trolox C had no influence on inhibition of glucose and urea production. These results suggest that Trolox C protected the liver cells against hypoxia/reoxygenation injury, yielding further evidence for a causative role of oxidative stress in this model.

Dynamic characteristics assessment of reactor vessel internals with fluid-structure interaction

  • Improvement of numerical analysis methods has been required to solve complicated phenomena that occur in nuclear facilities. Particularly, fluid-structure interaction (FSI) behavior should be resolved for accurate design and evaluation of complex reactor vessel internals (RVIs) submerged in coolant. In this study, the FSI effect on dynamic characteristics of RVIs in a typical 1,000 MWe nuclear power plant was investigated. Modal analyses of an integrated assembly were conducted by employing the fluid-structure (F-S) model as well as the traditional added-mass model. Subsequently, structural analyses were carried out using design response spectra combined with modal analysis data. Analysis results from the F-S model led to reductions of both frequency and Tresca stress compared to those values obtained using the added-mass model. Validation of the analysis method with the FSI model was also performed, from which the interface between the upper guide structure plate and the core shroud assembly lug was defined as the critical location of the typical RVIs, while all the relevant stress intensities satisfied the acceptance criteria.

  • 본 논문에서는 ANSYS 소프트웨어를 사용하여 회전시료조사대의 진동특성을 공기중 및 수중에서 평가하였다. 수중에서 진동해석에서 사용된 추가질량은 Blevins가 제시한 수식을 이용하여 계산하였다. 본 논문에서 제시한 결과의 타당성을 확인하기 위하여 구해진 결과는 이론적인 식을 사용해 구한 결과와 비교하였다. 유체의 추가질량 효과 때문에 회전시료조사대의 고유진동수는 공기 중에서 보다 수중에서 낮아짐을 확인할 수 있었다. 그리고 회전시료조사대의 고정에 필요한 클램프를 설계하기 위하여 클램프의 압력에 대한 회전시료조사대의 등가응력 및 변위를 계산하였다.

  • When enforced earth is used for the retain wall and four walls, the most important thing would be how to maximize the land utilization. Accordingly, in case of enforced earth, we pile up the minimal height of earth$(20\sim30cm)$ and harden the earth using a static dynamic hardening machine. In this paper, we tried to analyze and. compare the stress transformation characteristics of reinforced weathered granite soil. with geosynthetics when repetitive load is added to the enforced earth structure and when static load is added. The purposes of the study are as follows; 1) To compare and analyze non reinforced weathered granite soil and reinforced weathered granite. soil by executing a unconsolidated-undrained triaxial compression tests. 2) To identify the strength characteristics of weathered granite soil reinforced with geotextile due to the repetitive dynamic loads through comparison of the stress due to the static load and the repetitive dynamic loads.
