Fiber reinforced shotcrete(FRS) is widely used in tunnel linings, which strengthen the rock surface and reduce the loosening of the rock strata. The advantages of FRS in tunnel linings are the unsusceptibility to crack, the benefit of shotcrete strength, and the superiority of toughness. In this study, the several evaluation methods of FRS toughness were investgated experimentally, which included the ASTM beam test, EFNARC square panel test and RTA round panel test. Especially, it was examined that the round panel test could fulfill the toughness evaluation of FRS.

Carbon Fiber Reinforced Polymer(CFRP) composites are widely applied to strengthen deteriorated concrete structures. This paper presents the experimental results of the performance of reinforced concrete(RC) beams strengthened with externally prestressed CFRP plates. Simple beams with 3 m span length were tested to investigate the effect of prestressing force of CFRP plates on the flexural behavior of externally strengthened RC beams.

Somalian pirates with the onset of civil war in the early 1990s have caused a threat to international transportation. Various international organizations including the International Maritime Organization and the World Food Program are concerned about this problem. The cost of shipping is increasing and food-aid shipment is hindered by these ships are needed military escort. Since 2008, international society has deployed multinational naval vessel in the nearby Somalian sea and strengthen multinational naval operations to minimize damages from piracy.

The purpose of this study is to establish the technical system of national logistics standardization and to strengthen the national competitiveness through reduction of the logistic cost We review of the government and private roles in the logistic sectors and suggest plans for the improvement of logistics standardization for its completion in the unit load system in Korea. We conclude that a symmetrical logistics standardization may accomplish to reduce the costs of national logistics.

The purpose of this research was to understand the successful establishment of the cultural industry chain in Korea and discover lessons for China to improve its cultural industry. It was concluded that a one-industry development pattern cannot win in market competition and a cultural industry will strengthen its sustainability only through smoothing its relationship with other industries and establishing a cultural industry chain so as to further development and resist crises together.

Simple span decks with 2m span length were tested to investigate the effect of CFRP reinforcement types on the flexural behavior of strengthened RC beams. The test results were analyzed with the special emphasis on the failure mode and the maximum load.

"CheongNangKyeol" is a total medical book written by Nam Chai Woo and published in 1924, to be used in a Korean medical school. This paper reviewed the legal bases and characteristics of agricultural extension services and organizational changes during the last fifty years in Korea. It was found that the legal bases extension services were rather weak are very important factors affecting agricultural extension services and organizational structures of agricultural extension institutions. It would be necessary to take legal steps to strengthen agricultural extension services by institute legal proceedings the characteristics of extension organization including the relationships among central, provincial and county level extension services, missions and objectives, personnel and facility management.

Technology transfer is recognized as a critical issue to strengthen industri competitiveness in today's global and knowledge-based economies. The vertical transfer of technology from R&D labs to industries is becoming more emphasized than the horizontal company-to-company transfer of commercialized technology. The network and cooperation among technology transfer intermediaries are becoming more important with the increasing demand of the comprehensive technology transfer services. This paper presents the configuration models for technology transfer from universities and research institutes to industries. The configuration models are classified and discussed from the viewpoint of information flow, and also technology and knowledge transfer.

Reiki is a form of energy therapy in which the therapist, with or without light touch, is believed to access universal energy sources that can strengthen the body's ability to heal itself, reduce inflammation, and relieve pain and stress. There is currently no licensing for Reiki nor, given its apparent low risk, is there likely to be. Reiki appears to be generally safe, and serious adverse effects have not been reported. So in this article provides coverage of how to use Reiki in oncology services.
