  • Place assimilation in Korean has been argued to reflect the consonantal strength hierarchy in which velar is stronger than labial which is in turn stronger than coronal. The strength relationship has been manifested in two ways in literature. One is through phonological representation as shown in Iverson and Lee (1994). The other is through perceptual salience ranking as suggested by Jun (1995). The goal of this study is to examine the perceptual salience of placed consonants through an identification experiment. The experiment conducted in this study reveals four facts. First, place identification of a prevocalic consonant is higher than that of a postvocalic one. Second, place identification of a stop in coda is more confusable than that of a nasal counterpart in Korean contrary to other previous studies. Third, velar is most confusable in place identification in contrast to Jun (1995) and Hume et al. (1999). Finally, place perception of consonants can vary depending on adjacent vocalic context. These results suggest that perceptual salience is one of the possibly several factors affecting a phonological process.

  • This study is the fundamental report to propose the capability of discarded Bentonite by heat-treatment as concrete mineral admixture. The experiment is performed by flow test of mortar and by compressive strength of 7, 14, 28, 91 days, As a result of experiment about mortar using discarded Bentonite by heat-treatment, in the case of $500^{\circ}C$, $600^{\circ}C$, $700^{\circ}C$, $800^{\circ}C$.60min, compressive strength is superior to the every situation than plain Mortar. Especially, in the case of $700^{\circ}C$.60min, as strength activity index is measured by 109%, it can be applied as concrete mineral admixture. But, flow of Mortar using discarded Bentonite by heat-treatment is decreased about 2.5cm in the case of 30min and about 1.7cm in the case of 60min.

  • The change of temperature and humidity in early-age concrete has a great influence on the durability of the structure. In this study, a reliable wireless sensor network system and a concrete embedded type Compressive strength prediction sensor were designed using the Arduino platform. The accuracy of the compressive strength prediction sensor was verified through a mock-up experiment, and it was confirmed that the experiment had sufficient accuracy to be used in the field environment.

  • This paper is an experimental study on shear capacity of the high strength lightweight reinforced concrete beams with shear-depth ratio between 1.5 and 2.5. Thirteen T & rectangular beams were tested to determine their diagonal cracking and ultimate shear capacity. The major variables are shear span-depth ratio (a/d=1.5, 2.0, 2.5), concrete compressive strength(f'c=210, 24., 270㎏/㎠) and tensile steel ratio( =0.6, 1.2%). Based on results obtained from experiment of high strength lightweight reinforced concrete Beam & normal concrete, the following conclusions were drawn. (1) The shear capacity of high-strength lightweight concrete is less 15% than that of normal concrete under same condition. (2) As the results of Comparing this experimental datas with other various formulas. It is regarded that ACI 318-89 shear strength formula related tensile strength is proper to design formula of shear strength of high-strength lightweight reinforced concrete using lightweight concrete.

  • This study aimed to mix and test mortar incorporating activated Hwangtoh to improve the Hwangtoh brick bond strength of brick structures. To do this, the bond strength correlation of mortar was analyzed by means of materials and experiment factors and levels, and the optimum conditions were suggested after analyzing the physical properties of brick and the mix ratio of mortar and additive. Furthermore, the compressive strength and bond strength were found to be in inverse proportion, and in terms of the materials and mixing level, W/C ratio, substitution ratio of activated Hwangtoh, and fine aggregate grading were shown to have a considerable influence on the strength. In conclusion, the optimum mixing conditions to improve the bond strength are found to set W/C ratio at 65% and replacmenet ratio of activated Hwangtoh at 10%.

  • In this study, mechanical and electrochemical characteristics with welding material in MIG welded with ROBOT for dissimilar Al alloys were investigated using various experiment methods. The MIG welding by ROBOT with ER5183 and ER5556 for the 5456-H116 and 6061-T6 Al alloy were carried out. The hardness of welding zone was lower than that of base metal. In electrochemical experiment, ER5183 welding material presented excellent characteristics. The yield strength and maximum tensile strength in welding with welding material of ER5183 presented lower value than those of ER5556. The elongation and time-to-fracture showed the opposite results.

  • In this study, casting/forging process was used to produce an aluminum lower control arm for automobiles. Firstly, casting experiments were carried out to get an enhanced preform for forging the lower control arm. In the casting experiment, the effect of an additive, Sr, on the mechanical properties such as tensile strength and elongation and the microstructure of a cast preform were investigated. And a finite element analysis was peformed to determine an optimal configuration of the cast preform. Lastly, a forging experiment was carried out to make the final product of aluminum lower control arm by using the above cast preform. In the casting experiments, when 0.025% Sr was added into molten A356, the maximum values of tensile strength and elongation of the cast preform were obtained. In the forging experiment, It was confirmed that the optimal configuration of a cast preform predicted by FE analysis was very useful. The cast/forged product using designed preform was made without any defects.

  • In the previous study, the structural performance of proposed precast concrete arch with reinforced joint was evaluated by structural experiment. In this paper, finite element analysis considering both material and contact nonlinearity was carried out on the specimens of the previous study. Based on the result of analysis and experiment, friction coefficient between concrete blocks was determined. To evaluate the strength of sectional member, elastic analysis was carried out on the arch using linear elastic analysis program. The section force was compared with the nominal strength of arch section. It was concluded that the maximum load of all the specimens exceed the nominal strength of arch section. Those results of the strength evaluation were similar to the results of structural experiments. Therefore, it is concluded that the elastic analysis and ultimate strength model can effectively evaluate the strength for the proposed precast concrete arch composed of concrete blocks and reinforced joint in design.

  • While a Study with regard to the measurement on Concrete Strength and the Change of Drying Shrinkage in accordace with Content Ratio of Crushed Stone Powder, it is being analyzed as the result that the strength according to Content Ratio of crushed Stone Powder is somewhat lowering. Accordingly, it is the real situation that the Concrete mixed with Crushed Stone Powder is utilized for non-structural material, not for the structural material. Therefore, this Research willing to furnish the suitable utilizing scheme for construction site as well as practical life by means of conduct the experiment on both Concrete Pressure Strength according to mixture with Crushed Stone Powder and Elastic Modulus, it also presumes the optimum Elastic Modulus Equation after analysis of comparison with common concrete strength. As the result of the experiment, in case of the Content Ratio of Crushed Stone Powder is less than 5%, it did not display a big difference in its both strength and matter-property compare with common concrete. In case of Elastic Modulus, when the Pressure Strength is 50% and 40% respectively, the Elastic Modulus Equation accords very well with the provided condition of Quadratic function, and as the result of the Presumption on Elastic Modulus according to Content of Crushed Stone Powder, in case the Pressure Strength is 50%, Elastic Modulus Equation showed that Error Ratio of Cubic function is at degree of 0.0005%, in case the Pressure Strength is 40%, Elastic Modulus Equation was accorded well with the value of the experimental data likely as the Error Ratio of Cubic function is at the degree around 0.0034%, respectively.

The test of this study is about twenty girls, the control group of the normal children(n=10) and the experiment group of cerebral palsy children(n=10). They were studied in four aspects which were the anthropometry, the medical check in the rest, the physical fitness or exercise roads test and the change of the target heart rate during exercise. The result were as follows : 1. The characteristic of the physical type : The control group is higher than the experiment group in the standing height and the body weight but their's little difference between them (p<0.05). The control group is lower than the experiment group in the body fat. 2.
