I. 주거지 외부공간의 물리적 특성에 따른 아동의 외부활동 행태 및 만족도에 관한 연구 - 대구광역시 택지개발지구를 중심으로 - (A Study on Outdoor Behavior and Satisfaction of Children by the Physical Character of Outdoor Space of Housing Area in Daegu)

  • The purpose of this study is to provide the guidelines for housing area that consider the children's outdoor behavior. This study was complemented the limit of study method of the previous studies limiting the subject to play space in APT. So, this study was progressed the analyzation of physical characters of outdoor spaces, the observation of children's activities behavior, and the survey of children's opinion and satisfaction. Especially, 2 objective housing areas of this study were selected the deferent areas. The deferents were the structure of street, the location shape of parks, and the physical characters(accessibility, network etc.). Finally, founding on the result of this study, the 7 guidelines of housing area for children were presented : play space, park & green space, space of around the education facilities, space of around the commercial facilities, street space, square, and parking lot. This study have means that expand the objective range and use the variety study methods.

전라북도 가로시설물의 디자인 제고를 위한 연구 (A Study on the Design Improvement of Street Facilities in Jeollabuk-do Province)

  • This study reveals the absence of standard design guidelines by region through investigation and analysis centered on public design cases by region in Jeollabuk-do and design elements that can reflect the integration, identity, and diversity of public design in each region by five regions. Through this, the following conclusions could be obtained. First, to improve the quality of street facilities in Jeollabuk-do, the design elements (design motif, color, pattern) applicable to the standard design were analyzed by dividing them into five regions. As a design motif, it was possible to extract patterns containing straight lines, sophistication, dignity, and smartness. In the Northeast region, it is comfortable with the motif of the mountain ridge reflecting geographical characteristics, and it can be extracted elements that contain warm and natural colors. In the southeastern region, patterns that reflect design elements were extracted by applying safe, lively, and peaceful colors with the design motif of curves that blend nature and agriculture. In the southwestern region, design pattern elements that highlight nature, history, and culture were extracted with various cultural assets and natural greenery as motifs. Lastly, in the Saemangeum region, the ocean flow and greenery could be used as a design motif to reflect a positive, clear, future-oriented image in the design spot zones by region. Second, based on the standard design elements (design motive, color, pattern) by region extracted for the standard design development of street facilities in each region in Jeollabuk-do, an integrated zone(Form, structure, material, color, functional element) to which regional design guidelines can be applied. Third, an integrated zone (form, structure, material, color, functional elements) was composed. In addition, design spot zones (patterns and colors in city and county units) that can contain the diversity and identity of each region were designated. 불법 주정차 차량 단속을 위한 차량 검지 및 추적 기법 (A vehicle detection and tracking algorithm for supervision of illegal parking)

  • 본 논문은 불법 주정차 단속을 위한 정지 차량 검지 및 추적 기법을 제안한다. 제안하는 알고리즘은 크게 네 부분으로 구성되어 있다. 먼저, 입력 영상으로부터 움직이는 차량을 구분하기 위하여 향상된 코드북 물체 검지 알고리즘을 이용한 차량 검지 알고리즘을 제안한다. 두 번째로 차량의 기하학적 특징을 이용하여 차량이 아닌 물체는 제외시키는 전처리 기법을 사용한다. 그런 다음, 검지된 결과 차량들을 히스토그램 추적 기법과 칼만 필터를 결합한 추적 알고리즘을 이용하여 추적한다. 추적 결과를 더 정확하게 하기 위하여, 히스토그램 추적 결과를 칼만 필터의 측정 데이터로 사용한다. 마지막으로, 정지 차량 검지 알고리즘의 신뢰성 있고 정확한 성능을 위하여 실제 정지 카운터 (RSC)를 제안한다. 실험결과로부터 제안한 시스템은 복잡한 실제 도로 환경에서도 여러 차량을 동시에 추적할 수 있고, 정지 차량을 성공적으로 검지해냄을 확인한다.

Assessment of Universal Design for Seoullo 7017 in Seoul, Korea - Using a New Seven Universal Design Principles -

  • The purpose of this research is to evaluate Seoullo 7017 based on Universal Design (UD) principles and guidelines. To derive UD principles applicable to the site context, we used the 2017 Seoul Universal Design Guideline and assessment index provided by the Universal Design Research Center and established 11 evaluation criteria. With respect to research methods, a literature review and on-site field survey were applied, through which we derived UD principles and evaluation criteria to identify UD problems. The 11 evaluation criteria consist of pedestrian space, facilities, access, main entrance, parking lots, trails, restrooms, convenience facilities, information facilities, rest areas, and playgrounds, and these were associated with UD principles for evaluation. As a result, the main entrance had the highest UD score, while parking lots had the lowest in terms of equity, safety, simplicity, and accessibility. Restrooms received a lower UD score because of poor conditions of security and alert systems. Rest areas were found to be uncomfortable for disabled people. With respect to the internal trails, we found the lack of braille block and irregular placement of planting pots made blind people uncomfortable when walking. In terms of UD principles, flexibility received the highest score, followed by amenity, equity, simplicity, tolerance, accessibility, and safety. Flexibility received the highest score, owing to the provision of proper information about convenience facilities and trails, while safety received the lowest, based on poor access to parking lots, inadequate paving materials and colors, and a lack of 24-hour security systems. We hope this research contributes to improving the universal design, so that people are not discriminated against in the use of the park in terms of age, sex, or physical disability. We expect the study to help facilitate empirical studies to verify UD principles and provide improved quality of UD for Seoullo 7017.

도시가로 보행자공간의 활성화 측면에서 바라본 청계천 이용자의 만족도 조사연구 (The Survey Study on ChungGyeCheon users's Satisfaction in Terms of the Utilization Aspects of the Pedestrian Space of the City Street)

  • Covering structures and elevated road of Cheonggyecheon are the by-products of the developing era when functionality and efficiency were emphasized. Historic river restoration project around Cheonggyecheon which had been emerged as a threat to the safety of the citizens due to its corrosion and structural defects as time passes had been performed during the period from July, 2003 through October, 2005 under the slogan of future-oriented urban environment creation. By dint of this river restoration project, its value is being heightened as almost all the rivers of Seoul including Seongbukcheon, Chungreungcheon and Honghaecheon have been arranged by inter-active linkage. In addition, this river is becoming a place frequented by the numerous visitors at home and aborad by providing the citizens with an attractive space for utilizing leisure time. Currently in the diversified areas, an academic research on the Cheonggyecheon restoration is under progress. In this study, sampled questionnaire for the visitors was carried out by site visit with the necessity of users' satisfaction survey in terms of revitalization of pedestrian space of the city street. As a result of this, natural restoration and provision of leisure space were surveyed to be highly assessed in terms of satisfaction and insufficient provision of convenience facilities including toilet and parking space was pointed out as a matter to be improved. As Cheonggyecheon is invigorated from the obstacle of urban environment through its epochal restoration, its value provided to us will be evaluated and by supplementing the deduced problems, we intend to find its meaning in our hope that this would become a sustainable future assets providing a basic data.

  • The purpose of this study is to understand the distributions of fashion market and it's characteristics by investigating the attributes and changes of three representative fashion markets i. e. Chungjang Street Market, Underground Shopping arcades, Department Stores in Kwangju Metropolitan city. This study might contribute to the construction of more attractive fashion markets and also to consumer convenience by providing information about fashion. The method of investigation is by direct market visiting and interview from 2000. 7. 11 until 7. 30. The result is as follows; 1. Chungjang Street: This is the most famous and fashionable area, situated mainly on Chungjang street and Hwangkum-dong. The various kind of designer's boutiques, national brands, wedding shops, multi-shops etc. take place. Teenagers and people in their early twenties are the main customers. This point should be born in mind in a strategy of marketing. 2. Underground Shopping arcades: This market is open to customers of all ages and to the passengers crossing the streets and the purposeful visitors, even in rainy or snow days. However it is hard for novices to find it. 3. Department Stores: There are three department stores which are very competitive with each other by granting not only spacious and comfortable shopping areas but also places for children and cultural activities. The strategy of exhibiting unique items unparalleled in it's quality, might be needed with providing a comfortable parking lot, high quality commodes, appropriate sales program and more effective sales managements.

도시재생 뉴딜사업의 가로환경에 대한 이용자 만족도 연구: 대구광역시 일반근린형 도시재생 뉴딜사업을 중심으로 (Analysis of User's Satisfaction on the Street Environment of the General Neighborhood Type of Urban Regeneration New Deal Projects in Daegu)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 기존의 재개발이나 재건축과 같은 전면철거형의 사업과는 달리 본래의 모습을 유지하며 도시환경을 개선하는 도시재생 뉴딜사업을 대상으로 가로환경에 대한 이용자의 평가에 관한 연구이다. 선행연구 고찰을 통해 가로환경 평가항목을 구축한 후, 대구광역시 내 도시재생 뉴딜사업 중 일반근린형 사업대상지인 중구 동산동, 동구 효목동, 달서구 죽전동의 시민을 대상으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 설문조사 결과를 바탕으로 도시재생 뉴딜사업 대상지 간 가로환경에 대한 이용자들의 비교를 위해 IPA분석을 실시하였다. 주요 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 대상지별로 가로환경에 대한 중요도와 만족도가 다르게 나타났다. 둘째, 보도청결상태는 모든 대상지에서 중요도와 만족도가 높게 나타났다. 셋째, 간판 및 건물에 대한 주민의 만족도는 높으나 중요도는 낮게 나타났다. 반면, 주차 및 보차분리 관한 주민의 만족도는 낮으나 중요도는 높게 나타났다. 향후 도시재생 뉴딜사업에서 지역 주민의 요구에 맞는 차별화된 도시재생 사업계획이 수립될 필요가 있다.

스토리텔링 테마골목 이미지 및 만족도에 관한 이용 후 평가 - '김광석다시그리기길'을 대상으로 - (Post Occupancy Evaluation of Image and Satisfaction for Storytelling Theme on the Kim Gwang-Seok Street)

  • 본 연구는 최근 도시재생사업으로 재개발, 계획되고 있는 가로 중 스토리텔링에 의한 테마골목인 '김광석다시그리기 길'을 대상으로 이용 후 평가를 이미지와 만족도를 중심으로 시행하였다. 이는 새로운 장소성을 가진 공간으로 스토리텔링 테마골목 중 낙후된 골목재생을 위해 우리나라 최초로 대중가수의 음악과 예술에 관한 주제로 스토리텔링 장소로써 지속적인 모니터링을 통해 계획, 관리에 필요한 자료가 되기 위해서이다. 이용자 200명을 대상으로 인구통계문항과 이용행태, 동기는 빈도분석을 실시하였으며, 이미지선호도와 만족도평가는 신뢰도분석, 평균치 분석, 요인분석, 다중회귀분석을 실시하여 만족도에 영향을 미치는 변수들을 추출하였다. 또한, 성별, 연령별, 지역별 그룹의 이미지와 만족도 차이를 분산분석과 독립표본 t-검정과 분산분석을 통해 분석하였다. 그 결과, 이용자 특성은 20대 학생이 가장 많았고, 이용 동기와 활동유형은 산책과 구경, 사진촬영 순으로 분석되었다. 이미지평가 변수들은 매우 높은 신뢰도를 보였으며, 평균치들은 상징적인(5.03), 친근한(4.84), 아름다운(4.71), 밝은(4.63) 등의 순으로 높았다. 요인분석 결과, 거리의 분위기, 디자인성 및 역동성 등의 3개 요인이 추출되었다. 다중회귀분석 결과, 상징적인(${\beta}=.314$), 안정된(${\beta}=.248$), 친근한(${\beta}=.204$), 시원한 (${\beta}=.142$)과 같은 이미지 변수들에 의해 이미지 선호도가 영향을 받는 것으로 분석되었다. 만족도평가 또한 매우 높은 신뢰도를 가지며, 요인분석 결과, 시설관리측면, 체험 요인, 이미지 요인 3가지로 분류되었고, 시설물디자인(3.81), 대표거리(3.78), 거리이미지(3.81), 지속적 이용(3.66), 체험관광(3.53) 순으로 만족도를 보였다. 다중회귀분석 결과, 거리이미지(${\beta}=.296$), 관리(${\beta}=.277$), 지속적 이용(${\beta}=.205$), 대표거리(${\beta}=.183$)에 관한 4개 변수가 만족도에 영향을 주는 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서 김광석다시그리길 스토리텔링 골목의 재생사업 이후, 골목의 이미지는 상징성과 경관미, 친근감 등에서 높은 평가를 받으며 이미지 개선에 성공한 것으로 보이고, 만족도에 있어서는 시설물디자인의 개선, 대표거리로서의 상징성과 이미지의 강화, 다양한 체험 등에서 만족도를 보이고 있는 것으로 평가된다. 추후 김광석다시그리기길의 계획과 관리에서는 좀 더 스토리텔링을 통한 장소성을 확립하고, 그로 인해 골목의 정체성과 상징성 또한 높아질 수 있도록 해 나가야 함을 말해 주는 결과로 사료된다.

물리적 환경의 고령친화 디자인 가이드라인 개발 (Development of Aged-friendly Design Guideline in Physical Environment)

  • The purpose of this research is to provide a basic framework of design guideline for elderly people who can live without inconvenience. It is time to think about how to create an age-friendly city for the Korean society which is rapidly advancing in population aging. Design guidelines studied in this research cover not only architecture but also urban, landscape and transportation fields, and consist of 90 items in 7 areas (park&open space, buildings, pedestrian street, crosswalk&bicycle lane, bus stop&subway station, parking housing). The importance of each item and each area were surveyed to verify objectivity. The result of importance of each item can be used to select design guidelines which can be applied first to create an aged-friendly physical environment.

An image enhancement Method for extracting multi-license plate region

  • In this paper, we propose an image enhancement algorithm to improve license plate extraction rate in various environments (Day Street, Night Street, Underground parking lot, etc.). The proposed algorithm is composed of image enhancement algorithm and license plate extraction algorithm. The image enhancement method can improve an image quality of the degraded image, which utilizes a histogram information and overall gray level distribution of an image. The proposed algorithm employs an interpolated probability distribution value (PDV) in order to control a sudden change in image brightness. Probability distribution value can be calculated using cumulative distribution function (CDF) and probability density function (PDF) of the captured image, whose values are achieved by brightness distribution of the captured image. Also, by adjusting the image enhancement factor of each part region based on image pixel information, it provides a function that can adjust the gradation of the image in more details. This processed gray image is converted into a binary image, which fuses narrow breaks and long thin gulfs, eliminates small holes, and fills gaps in the contour by using morphology operations. Then license plate region is detected based on aspect ratio and license plate size of the bound box drawn on connected license plate areas. The images have been captured by using a video camera or a personal image recorder installed in front of the cars. The captured images have included several license plates on multilane roads. Simulation has been executed using OpenCV and MATLAB. The results show that the extraction success rate is more improved than the conventional algorithms.
